This year's class is deep. Amazing how the TE position has enjoyed a bounce back. Looking forward to big seasons for all of these guys.

Really really good group of TE’s this year. These 4 guys I’m about to list are all good bets to get drafted.

Greg Dulcich (JR) 6’4” 242lbs UCLA
Dulcich, Kyle Phillips, and Chase Cota make UCLA fun to watch! Dulcich is a converted WR who shined at TE in 2020, his first season as a starter. 26-517-5 receiving in 2020 in only 7 games. NFL scouts like him. Former walk-on of course.

Will Mallory (JR) 6’5” 245lbs Miami
Mallory should have a big year with Brevin Jordan leaving for the NFL. 43-659-7 in his first 3 seasons, he could surpass all those numbers this year alone.

Jeremy Ruckert (SR) 6’5” 252lbs Ohio State
Very talented TE who will be next in a long line of NFL TE’s from Ohio State. 5 TD’s in 2020 while sharing time with 2 other TE’s who are now in the NFL.

Nick Muse (SR) 6’5” 249lbs South Carolina
Brother of Tanner Muse. Nick has been a solid receiver for South Carolina the last couple of seasons but has only scored 1 TD. Originally transferred from William & Mary. 47-583-1 in his 2 seasons at SC. 81-1011-3 in his career including his William & Mary stats. Need to see more TD’s.

Iowa State Cyclones are Ranked in Top # 8 of most Pre Season polls....

May have the Best 1 - 2 Punch at Tight End on one team in the Nation! Charlie Kolar is arguably the best TE in CFB this season....should be fun to watch led by QB Brock Purdy & LB Mike Rose one of the best defensive players in the land.

Chase Allen (Sr.) 6 '- 7" 250 Iowa State
2020 Second Team All-Big 12; Career 48 receptions 526 yards & 4 TD's
You know your a pretty bad dude when you wear #11 @ TE

Yes it is Bucky! Gotta make this ADDITION! LIGHTS OUT FRESHMAN !

TE Brock Bowers 6'-4" 230 Georgia
...a 2020 four-star recruit from Napa CA reportedly clocked a 4.5 40-yard time and a 40-inch vertical in high school, and the speed and explosiveness have been apparent on the field! .......So far early in the season Bowers leads Georgia in receiving 18 receptions 272 yards& 4 TD's (including a long of 89!) + 1 carry for 12 yards

Hard to believe September is done ....so far Colorado State TE Trey McBride is 2nd in the Nation Receptions per game (9.0) ....36 - 398 - 1 TD
Notre Dame TE Michael Mayer aka Baby Gronk Ranks 2nd (6 .0) for Tight Ends 24 - 267 - 3 TD's

there are SO MANY gifted and dominant tight ends appearing these days! what a joy they are to watch.

as someone who has often been accused of being “weird” because i’m also frequently said to be “thinking too much,” i wonder if any innovative offensive coaches have consider/implemented an offense that exclusively uses this new breed of big, fast, do-it-all tight ends rather than the normal 1 or 2 tight end sets and a couple of wide receivers ...

i think it would cause MASSIVE matchup nightmares for opposing defenses, because so many of these tight ends are really just giant wideouts (with wideout speed in many cases) who can also block. think about the difficulty of what personnel packages a defense would need to use, when an offense could line up in a power running formation then motion into a four-wide set without having to substitute. WOW! and if that was combined with using a dual threat quarterback as your tailback with a pass-first qb (who can run a little bit) taking the snaps ... well, explosive!

that would seem to be not only doable from a recruiting standpoint, but it would also be a fun offense to play in (lots of players touching the ball and being involved in all phases of the game) and a hard offense to stop.

i guess, much like with the Caste System, too many coaches just do what everyone else is doing and are unwilling to rock the boat.
