Iowa State’s Brock Purdy completed 21 of 24 passes for 388 yards and 3 touchdowns in the Cyclones’ win over UNLV. he is not getting nearly the credit he deserves from the “experts.”

Michigan State sophomore Payton Thorne has thrown for four touchdowns the past two games, most recently against the hyped-to-the-stars Miami Hurricanes. he’s the first Spartan qb to accomplish this feat since 2015.

UNC’s Sam Howell continued his big play form for the second week in a row (after starting the season off with a dud against Va Tech), throwing for 304 yards and 5 touchdowns on 14 of 21 attempts against Virginia, although he did toss another interception (his 4th of the year).

Middle Tennessee junior Chase Cunningham completed 70% of his passes tonight (28 of 40) for 379 yards and 5 touchdowns and ran 9 times for 65 more yards, all without committing a single turnover ... and his team lost. wow.

on the bright side, it was another White qb with a strong performance who led his team to victory in the aforementioned contest. Charlotte senior Chris Reynolds completed 69.4% of his passes (25/36) for 339 yards and 4 touchdowns, while adding a rushing touchdown and 32 yards on his 9 rushing attempts, also without committing a turnover.

all in all, it was quite the gunslinging showdown between two unheralded athletes.

Purdy disappointed against Iowa. I do still think the Cyclones can challenge and win the Big 12 with him at the helm. He seems to play well vs. Oklahoma ever year.

His performance against UCLA was fun to watch. Tanner Mordecai from SMU has also been impressive - leads the country with 20 TD passes currently.

Pitt QB Kenny Pickett quietly having a great year, I have been doing some draft research and it seems he is more appreciated in the NFL community than the draft cuck community. May be a potential riser in a very muddled QB class. The ACC is pretty wide open and Pickett is the most experienced QB in the class so the Panthers may end up competing for the ACC title when all is said and done.

Brock Purdy (Iowa State) put on an absolute clinic in the first half tonight against Kansas. the senior completed 15 of 18 pass attempts for 216 yards and 4 touchdowns, all to different receivers. he completed passes to 7 different targets in the half, and ran for 31 yards on 4 carries. the Cyclones are currently up 38-0.

other than the loss to Iowa, he has simply shredded opposing defenses.

it is currently halftime in this game/blowout.

SE Louisiana QB Cole Kelly with another monster game - 36/49 391 YDS 3 TDs 1 INT along with 17 rushes 65 yards 1 TD...Bear in mind this guy is a QB and is bigger than Gronk...why wouldn't the NFL be interested in him?

Miss St QB Will Rogers wins SEC offensive player of the week. When Leach finds a QB to run his offense at a high level interesting things happen in college football.

Pitt QB Kenny Pickett starting to get more notoriety and attention in both the college landscape and 2022 NFL draft. Doubtful he wins the Heisman but a Davey O'Brien award is not out of the question. He really does seem to be emerging out of a murky QB draft class. With 2 months left there is a long way to go but Pickett has certainly been one of the pleasant surprises so far.

Matt Corral had a good game vs Arkansas - they narrowly avoided defeat - the defense was bad for both teams yesterday. He has certainly closed the gap with the Alabama quota as the Heisman favorite (I still think Walker, the MSU RB should be considered the true front runner at this point). Corral's numbers are impressive so far through 5 games - 101 attempts/146 attempts 69.2% 1497 yards 12 TDs/0 ints to go along with 58 rushes for 255 yards and 8 TDs.

Sounds like Corral is questionable for the matchup against LSU. He ran the ball 30 times in the win last weekend. Hopefully he is able to play and Kiffin let’s Plumlee get some carries.

No kidding! Why beat the hell out of Corral when Plumlee is an even better more explosive runner!
