Interesting, I had actually compared him to fellow Wolverine Rashan Gary from a few years ago. He has all the measurables, but just never produced when it came to the stat sheet.

Watching the ABC coverage right now, and credit where due, they seem to have gotten the message about overdoing the sob stories for each draftee. There's a few "underdog" stories like the one they just ran for Paye, but no more "his dad was run over by a bus and his mom was addicted to crack when he was 6 years old" stuff.

Mac Jones' "slide" to #15 will help him stave off some of the rabid racial hatred he's been receiving this week from media and "influencers" - this would surely continue forever had he gone at pick #3. While there's no reason to start immediately on another middling New England team, he could either win the job outright or get a relief pitcher's welcome from New England fans midseason.
San Francisco gave up a lot of juice to take on their black quarterback project. Lots of moving pieces still in the QB market, but it's hard to imagine Lance not starting eventually.
I'm relieved that the Lions went OL for Goff's sake, even though he could use a "weapon" at WR (I really frickin' hate that term, it's such a cucked, voyeuristic, DWF-fantasy thing to say, so naturally it's bandied about constantly in the draft buildup). Sewell the Samoan seemed to be a relatively safe choice, as pointless as that term can be. He was PFF's top college lineman for a season or two and might have gone #1 in another draft year (or era for that matter). The Jets, on the other hand, went the other way with their short tackle in a guard's body. But that's why they're a terrible franchise that ruins their quarterbacks. Poor Zach Wilson!

Yes, both Gary and Taco were "eye-popping athletes" who never seemed to pop any eyes on the actual football field.
Michigan used to post some of its workout leaders for position groups throughout the year. Chase Winovich led just as many of the categories as Gary, but was never heralded as some freak can't-miss athlete. Chase was relegated to the third round and has still accomplished more, stats-wise, with less (playing time, thanks to Belichek).

Spot on post. Mac Jones would of faced so much anger and hate if he had gone 3rd overall. I feel relieved for the kid. These past few years the anti-White QB vitriol has really been turned up several notches.

Another non-white Northwestern player drafted in the first and another one that never stuck out to me while watching Northwestern football. I wonder if they also went to mostly white high schools, played on mostly white football teams and were the only players from their respective teams to get division 1 offers.

Ravens pick another WR - They selected a 3rd and 6th rounder last year and a 1st and 3rd in 2019. 5 WRs in three years with two in the first round. Eraserhead has no excuse now.

It’s ridiculous. There’s nothing wrong with Trubisky; throw out his rookie year and he’s 25-13, 57 TDs to 30 INTs, with a 65% competition rate. Add 800 yards and 6 TDs rushing over the last 3 years.

Garbage first round as always...so far it is rivaling the 2015 draft.
Know what else pisses me off even more than the black quarterback agenda? The sumo agenda. Guys like Darrisaw being overhyped instead of Eichenberg, Radunz, Spencer Brown, Walker Little (though the Mexicans could be a concern), and Cosmi (as someone who HATES the school he went to). Wish the Vikings went with one of those guys. Still rooting for them as long as Thielen and Harrison Smith are there but slowly but surely they’re getting less CF-friendly.
At least we got 3 QBs today. 2015 first round had Scherff and literally nothing else. Is it really too much to ask for representation? That’s all I’m asking for, just the teams to look more like the country as a whole.
So many of these guys will not pan out. The edge rusher from Penn State that the Ravens just took is a prime example of a bust in the making -- looks great running shirtless but had zero sacks last season. He's a pass rushing specialist with zero sacks yet is a first round draft pick. Reading between the lines of super-cuck Daniel Jeremiah's descriptions of the picks, lots of them are far from sure things, but the NFL restricts itself to a very limited pool of players each year, just as does college football. So the vicious cycle repeats and repeats with invaluable assistance from the corporate media and recruiting services and so the fans remain ignorant.
This draft has looked to be a really bad one for a while now and the first round gives little hope for optimism for the rest of it. Anyway, still hoping the second and third rounds produce a decent amount of White linemen and maybe a linebacker (in addition to Werner) and some other surprises.
