From 2006 to 2012, New Mexico State started 10, 12, 12, 7, 5, 4, and 6 white players. No write-ups were done in 2013 or 2014. Since 2015, they have started 4, 4, 6, 6 and 6. NMSU sat out the 2020 season. In 2021 they are currently projected to start 5.
A non-descript lower level Division 1 program that recruits out of state affletes - where have we heard this story before?
The QB job seems to be earmarked for a black quarterback - time will tell though. QB Weston Eget and Trevor Appelman (Mater Dei High school alumni - Matt Barkley, Matt Leinart, JT Daniels, Colt Brennan, Bryce Young all played here) are both QBs to look out for.
