[Red Raider]

Ben Skowronek (SR) 6’4” 215lbs Notre Dame
We had high hopes for him in 2019 but an injury derailed his season after 3 games. This could work out for him because he transferred to Notre Dame from Northwestern, and ND lost their top 3 receivers from 2019. Skowronek has NFL size and should be on the NFL radar with a big season for the Fighting Irish. He’s a red zone threat who can do it all when it comes to being a receiver. Career stats receiving are 110-1417-8.


Bailey Gaither (SR) 6’1” 182lbs SJSU
Gaither was granted a 6th year of eligibility for San Jose State and it gives him a chance to get on the NFL radar. Gaither is a true deep threat with the ability to make spectacular catches, but he may need to add some more weight if he wants to play in the NFL. He reminds me of Thomas Sperbeck from Boise State a few years ago, both are about the same size, are deep threats, and have a knack for great catches. He had 812 yards in 2019 to bring his career stats to 94-1502-14, he also has over 450 return yards in his career.


Thomas Hennigan (SR) 6’1” 205lbs App. State
Appalachian State has been sending players to the NFL every year recently, let’s see if the league will take notice of a stellar receiver with good size. Hennigan has been a solid receiver and punt returner over the past few years and looks to cap it off with a big senior season. He has 135 catches for 1685 yards and 14 TD’s in his career along with 600 return yards and an additional TD.


Jake Smith (SO) 6’0” 195lbs Texas
Smith didn’t have a monster true freshman season but he made an impact with 25 catches for 274 yards and 6 TD’s as the backup slot receiver. Devin Duvernay is in the NFL now so Smith will take over as a starter in 2020. He was the Gatorade National Player of the Year in 2018 as he lit up the Arizona high school football scene.


I have a bunch of other receivers on my list but I decided to start with these guys. I’m excited to get these started and see what everyone else has to post!

Kyle Philips (SO) 5’11” 181lbs UCLA
Philips broke onto the scene in 2019 as a redshirt freshman. He’s a fantastic slot receiver and a great punt returner too. In 2019 he had 60 catches for 681 yards and 5 TD’s. He also is 11-221-1 on punt returns in his short career. He looks to be on his way to the NFL barring injury problems or an extreme drop off in production.


Dillon Stoner (SR) 6’0” 196lbs Oklahoma State
Stoner is entering his 4th year as a starter for Oklahoma State. He has held down their starting slot receiver role for a while and has been steadily productive every year. He has also been the punt returner but hasn’t shown explosiveness there yet. He could be invited to the NFL combine next year with a good senior season. In 3 years he has 149-1805-13 receiving and 40-281 on punt returns.

You could see flashes of big time play making ability in Fr. Jake Smith (TD vs. LSU). ....he has a NFL Future for sure!
Dillon Stoner battled some nagging injuries ; had big 5 rec for 150 yards & 2 TD game vs. Kansas
Kyle Phillips is comparable to Trent Taylor to me(Chase Cota makes a Nice 1-2 Punch for UCLA).....
Thomas Hennigan is one of my favorite WR's
Bennett Skowronek to Notre Dame will be interesting
Speedy former baseball player WR Bailey Gaither is worth the price of admission when they use him!

Austin Trammell (Sr.) 5'-10" 182 Rice ....Honorable Mention All Conf. USA ...Enters Senior season 126 receptions for 1,409 yards & 7 TD's + 17 carries for 98 yards rushing...Also Kick Returner 22 yard Avg in career. 6'-5" Brad Rozner could be posted here too...

Beau Corrales (Sr.) 6'-4" 210 North Carolina ....good athlete ...last season 40 receptions for 575 yards & 6 TD's...battles diabetes ; looking for bigger season with talented QB Sam Howell

Alec Pierce (Jr.) 6'-3" 215 Cincinnati ....underclassman with tremendous upside. Think he has what it takes to thrive in the NFL ...Last season had 37 receptions for 652 yards & 2 TD's...does he have the QB?

Bryce Nunnelly (Sr.) 6'-2" 190 UT Chattanooga ....Big time WR at the FCS Level...last Two seasons 135 receptions for 2,025 yards & 12 TD's

Tyler Snead (RS Soph?) 5'-7" 167 East Carolina.... reliable pass catcher last season 66 receptions for 759 yards & 5 TD's (HUGE GAME vs SMU 19 receptions for 240 yards!)
Blake Proehl makes for a Nice 1-2 punch for the Pirates!

Griffin Hebert (JR.) 6'-3" 217 Louisiana Tech .... last season 30 receptions for 537 yards & 6 TD's....has potential to be a break out player!

Did not add Utah's electric Britian Covey...(yet) not sure of his health status?

Good additions TwentyTwo! I forgot about Hebert, definitely a guy to look out for after a productive sophomore season. I’ll add three more guys to start off the day, the wide receivers in 2020 should definitely make this season a lot better than last year! Big time potential in some of these guys.

David Durden (JR) 6’2” 200lbs Mercer
Durden is my favorite FCS WR and he has huge potential that outweighs his current stats to this point. Originally tried to go the pro baseball route after high school but he gave that up after a year and decided to go play football at Mercer where he was originally committed. Big play threat with great athleticism, also a great kick returner. In 2 seasons he has managed 63 catches for 1054 yards and 9 TD’s. On top of that he has a passing TD and averages 26.2 yards on kickoff returns with an additional TD. Like someone said last year, Durden could play SEC ball!


Dalton Rigdon (JR) 5’11” 170lbs Texas Tech
Rigdon is my favorite WR in college football for obvious reasons. He is a small slot receiver with track speed and a knack for big plays (49, 48, and 81 yd catches in 2019). He would’ve had a better season if he didn’t get speared by Jeff Gladney in the TCU game which caused him to miss the last couple of games. He had 486 yards and 5 TD’s in 2019 while splitting time with McLane Mannix.


Jack Sorenson (SR) 6’0” 195lbs Miami (Ohio)
Sorenson has had back to back solid seasons for the RedHawks and looks to cap it off with a big senior season. 3rd team All-MAC in 2018, stats dipped a little bit in 2019. In 2 seasons has recorded a 97-1310-6 stat line.

Ben Ratzlaff (SR) 6'2" 190 Houston Baptist
One of the top statistical receivers in FCS last season, with 87 receptions for 1,139 yards and 12 TD's. A JUCO product.

Hendrix Johnson (SO) 6'1" 185 Northern Arizona
He caught 60 balls for 828 yards and 5 TD's. He was a freshman All American on several publications. He had 7 receptions for 97 yards against Arizona.

Tanner Conner (SR) 6'3" 225 Idaho State
He caught 47 balls for 792 yards and 8 TD's last year. A state champ hurdler from high school in Washington. Has run a 10.51 100M in college! With that size and speed he obviously should have been playing at a bigger school but hopefully will get a look at the next level.

Trevor Begue (SR) 5'11" 190 McNeese State
He caught 55 balls for 827 yards and 10 TD's. He had 5 receptions for 69 yards against Oklahoma State.

Henry Litwin (SR) 6'1" 195 Slippery Rock
He had a monster season at the D2 level with 103 receptions for 1,509 yards and 21TD's. Has 154/2350/29 for his career. A D2 All American. Maybe the next Adam Theilen?!

Gunner Romney (JR) 6'3" 195 BYU
Last season caught 31 balls for 577 yards and 2 TD's. Hopefully will have a breakout season.

Ricky Pearsall (SO) 6'1" 190 Arizona State
He didn't red shirt and played in all 12 games. Had 6 receptions for 109 yards. A physical player who should have a breakout year.

Jakob Herres (JR) 6'4" 211 VMI
A big tall kid. Caught 72 balls for 1,091 yards and 8 TD's this past season. He has 99/1,528/13 for his career. He thought about leaving VMI but has decided to stay.

Cole Tucker (R.JR) 6'2" 195 Northern Illinois
He caught 38 balls for 531 yards and 1 TD. His career stat line is 56/687/1. His teams leading receiver in yards and receptions.

McLane Mannix (SR) 5’10” 195lbs Texas Tech
Mannix looked to be on a clear path to the NFL until his transfer to Texas Tech. I’m glad to have him in the team but it hasn’t worked out too well so far. TTU has a ton of talented receivers and he was overshadowed by fellow white guy Dalton Rigdon. With that being said, Mannix still has the most career receiving yards among any white player in the FBS right now. His career stats are 133-1901-16 receiving, 8-65 rushing, and 9-115 on punt returns. I hope he can go out with a bang in 2020!


Britain Covey (JR) 5’8” 170lbs Utah
Covey redshirted in 2019 after playing 4 games and getting injured, therefore he is a junior all over again in 2020. Covey is the most versatile wide receiver in all of college football. In barely over 2 seasons he has recorded 113-1233-5 receiving, 30-198 rushing, 55-536-1 on punt returns, 17-365 on kick returns, 3-3 passing for 71 yards and 2 TD’s. The best part is that he still has 2 seasons remaining.


Blake Proehl (JR) 6’1” 186lbs East Carolina
Proehl teams up with slot machine Tyler Snead to form an entertaining duo for ECU. Snead has slightly outshined Proehl but he has had a great start to his career nonetheless. In his first 2 seasons he has 83 catches for 999 yards and 5 TD’s.


Thayer Thomas (JR) 6’0” 195lbs NC State
Thomas is a good receiver who has yet to breakout but he has put himself on the map as a reliable slot receiver and solid punt returner as well. On trick plays passing he is 4-7 for 130 yards and 2 TD’s. At receiver he has recorded 65 catches for 717 yards and 5 TD’s. On punt returns he has recorded 26 for 291 yards and another TD. He looks poised to have a 600+ yard season in 2020.

Ryan Cragun (JR) 6'1" 185 Penn
He caught 58 balls for 885 yards and 3 TD's. Had a few monster games this past season in his first season of action. He was second team All-IVY.

Garrett Oakey (JR) 5'11" 190 Colgate
He had 58 receptions for 736 yards and 1 TD. 2nd in patriot league for receiving yards.

Mikey Roussos (JR) 6'0" 195 Columbia
He caught 35 balls for 395 yards and 1 TD. But made his mark as a returner earning 3rd team All American. He had 665 yards on kick returns and 242 and 1 TD on punt returns.

Austin Williams (JR) 6’3” 200lbs Mississippi State
Williams has prototypical WR size and most of the receivers ahead of him are no longer there so he could be looking to have a breakout season in 2020. The QB play should also improve after it was thrown off in 2019. In his first two seasons Williams has 21 catches for 256 yards but has 5 TD’s. This season should exceed his previous two.


Barrett Banister (JR) 6’0” 200lbs Mizzou
Like Austin Williams, Banister is entering his junior year after contributing in both of his first two seasons. Banister looks to be a full time starter in 2020 and should have a good season. He is important as a SEC receiver like Williams. In his first two seasons Banister has recorded 35 catches for 334 yards and a TD.


Brad Rozner (JR) 6’5” 195lbs Rice
Rozner teams up with Austin Trammell to form an exciting duo for Rice. I believe he has two seasons left after missing both 2016 and 2017 due to injuries while in JUCO. Rozner emerged as a big play receiver in 2019 finishing with 55 catches for 770 yards and 5 TD’s. He is like a clone of former rice WR Jordan Taylor who is also 6’5” and has a similar play style.


Riley Lees (SR) 6’0” 201lbs Northwestern
We are all aware of Riley Lees here, he has been contributing since 2017. He excels out of the slot and as a returner too. He had a fantastic punt return TD called back a couple years ago that pissed all of us off on a phony call. In his career he is 91-879-7 receiving, 15-41-1 rushing, 44-304 on punt returns, and 26-542 on kick returns.


Tyler Page (SR) 5’11” 193lbs SMU
Page is looking for a breakout year as a senior after showing potential early in his career. If he can become a starter it will be fun to watch SMU with him, Shane Buechele, TJ McDaniel, and Trevor Denbow on defense. Page plays slot but has big time speed. 26-440-2 receiving so far and has added 159 return yards.

Elijah Kothe (JR) 6'4" 205 San Diego State
Has contributed is first two seasons. Missed some time last season with a hand injury. Has 24 career receptions for 257 yards.

Jackson Anthrop (SR) 5'11" 190 Purdue
He has a career stat line of 92/817/6. Had a stellar year in 2017 but saw his production dropped when they force fed the ball to Rondale Moore. Bounced back a little in 2019 when Moore was injured. Hopefully can have a nice Senior campaign.

Berkeley Holman (JR) 5'11" 193 Northwestern
Has a career stat line of 16/183. Hopefully can break through with more production with Skowronek off to Notre Dame.

Jake Bobo (JR) 6'4" 200 Duke
Missed 3 games from a shoulder but started 2 games last season. Has a career stat line of 20/289/1.

Drake Stoops (R.SO) 5'9" 181 Oklahoma
Son of Bob Stoops. Turned down offers out of high school to walk on at Oklahoma. He caught 8 balls for 95 yards last season. Maybe dad can't put some pressure for more playing time.

Jake Herslow (SR) 6'0" 172 Old Dominion
Started 2 games. Had 8 receptions for 95 yards. Former Walk-on of course.

Camden Harrison (SR) 6’2” 208lbs Army
Starting WR in the triple option. Has a career stat line of 30-568-4. Nice solid 18.9 yards per catch.


Luke Whittemore (JR) 6’2” 190lbs Troy
Older brother of Florida WR Trent Whittemore. Luke has a firm grasp on a starting position in 2020. In his first 2 seasons he has a 46-631-3 stat line.


Chase Cota (JR) 6’4” 198lbs UCLA
Forms a nice duo with Kyle Phillips. Son of former NFL safety Chad Cota. Career stat line of 38-518-3.


Peter LeBlanc (SO) 6’2” 185lbs Louisiana
Starter as a true freshman in 2019. Recorded a stat line of 28-344-4.

Peter Birmelin (SR) 5'-9" 170 Princeton
Explosive jitterbug who patterns his game off of Julian Edelman. Finished last season with a 60-767-3 stat line. Also returned 15 punts for 130 yards. Expect him to become a main option for the Tigers this year.


Joey Felton (SO) 5'9" 183 Yale
Felton only caught two passes for 43 yards last season but returned 15 kick offs for 340 yards. After an off season of putting on ten pounds of muscle Felton has an eye on a starting spot since so many great seniors have departed. He has electric speed. I couldn't find an action shot of Felton so opted for a photo of him with his proud mom.


(A couple of notes about receivers posted about above. Texas Tech WR McLane Mannix was deemed the fastest player on the team with fellow receiver Dalton Rigdon placing third. Also explosive Columbia WR Mikey Roussos has averaged 17.7 yards per punt return and two touchdowns over the course of two seasons and 26 returns. That is a mind boggling stat.)

Dax Milne (JR) 6'0" 189 BYU
Dax played at Utah High School power Bingham, but walked on BYU. That didn't stop him from contributing his freshman season. He has a career stat line of 31/354/3.

Brendan Schooler (SR) 6'2" 197 Arizona
He transfers from Oregon to join his brother (Colin) for his last season. Started out as a safety at Oregon and had 74 tackles and 4 INT's as a freshman. Switched over to WR and has a career stat line of 43/521/4. Super athletic, hope he has a stellar season.

Yeah still don't get that head scratching move of moving him from Safety after a stellar start to his career there. Let's hope he can make some big plays at WR, but totally agree with you that his potential was derailed by a questionable position switch.

Caleb Chapman (Soph) 6' - 5" 200 Texas A&M ...only caught 1 pass last season as Freshman; currently 2nd Team on Spring Depth Chart; Looking to be a Break out player his Future ; a 4 Star Prospect out of HS

Derek Wright (Sr.) 6'-1 185 Utah State ...only 7 catches 102 yards ; but 2 TD's! came out of JUCO; Lindy's Magazine list him as STARTER; but not sure where he stands on Depth Chart? he has produced when given the limited opportunities . Miss the days of speedster Kevin Curtis!

Gunner Gentry (Jr.) 6'-3" 208 Wyoming ......Listed as a STARTER; last season 6 catches for 130 yards. He led team averaging 21.7 yards per catch. (long of 45 yards); younger brother of Tanner Gentry/ NFL Bears; hopefully can duplicate his success!

WR Ayden Eberhart (Sr.) 6'-2" 195 Wyoming ....Listed as a STARTER (in 3 WR Set) w Gentry. Last season just 8 catches but for 168 yards & 2 TD's(53 & 51 yards!) (21.0 yard avg!) ; looking for solid season!

Nolan Groulx (R.FR) 6'0" 190 Wake Forest
Like Chapman mentioned above a former 4* recruit. He only played in the bowl game but is listed at second string on the depth chart. Has a ton of potential.

Landry Weber (JR) 5'10" 180 Kansas State
His dad was a QB at K-State in the 80's and his brother is currently a quality control coach there now. He made two starts last season and had a stat line of of 7/117.

I like posting some under the radar kids because they don't get much love and you never know when one will get a chance and be Adam Theilen, Danny Woodhead type.

Payton Rose (JR) 5'11" 182 Lindenwood
He caught 64 balls for 1,168 yards and 15 TD's. He had 6 for 97 and 2 TD's versus the best team they played in Eastern Washington.

Nico Ragaini (SO) 6'0" 192 Iowa
Caught a team high 46 passes in his red shirt freshman season and gained 439 yards and scored two touchdowns. Also returned 9 punts for 96 yards. It is unclear if he or senior WR Max Cooper #19 will take over punt return duties. Nico like Texas WR Jake Smith was that rare freshman power 5 White WR given a chance to make some noise. A true threat in the slot. Very reliable with an impressive burst.


Oliver Martin (JR) 6'0" 200 Iowa
We have been waiting for this smooth operator to emerge, first at Michigan and now at Iowa and it hasn't happened yet. He will be part of a deep five man WR core so the hope is Martin finally starts to shine. He was used sparingly last year in the slot and caught 5 passes for 28 yards and a TD. Worth noting Iowa will be working in a new QB.


( I was disgusted to see some former black Iowa players whining about the strength coach recently and the "White vibe" of the team. The horror? A team that isn't completely ensconced in black rap culture. Naturally the coach was sent down the river. Like Don says there are no White friendly teams. If there were they would look like my high school football team which was entirely White. But since Iowa plays more Whites than most teams they are seen as suspicious by the woke crowd. This team has their priorities in order. Every home game they make sure terribly ill children get center stage as their hospital overlooks their stadium. That is what is important. Not selfish black players who think they are the center of the universe.)

Brannon Spector (SO) 6'1" 195 Clemson
Expected to be in the rotation after catching 3 passes for 16 yards last year. He models himself after Hunter Renfrow and even wears the same number, lucky #13 ha. Has a 39 inch vertical. Older brother Baylon looks to be a starting LB ( see linebackers thread).



Slade Bolden (SO) 5'11" 191 Alabama
Should see his role expand this season. An athletic Swiss army knife who can play wildcat QB he played sparingly last year with 2 catches for 34 yards. Did tie for the team lead in special teams tackles and has ingratiated himself to the coaching staff with his hustle. Should add some spice to the Alabama offense.


Kade Warner (JR) 6'1" 210 Nebraska
Son of famous dad Kurt, Kade has a good shot at starting this year. Big and fluid his stat line from last year was 8-101.


Jackson Gleeson (SO) 6'0" 185 Baylor
It might take another year but the hope is Gleeson finds a way into the rotation. He ran a 4.3 40 in front of the team but his biggest talent is deep speed. Gleeson is a genuine home run threat. At one time he looked like he would go the Jeremy Wariner route and star at 200 and 400 meters being that he was a star Texas sprinter in high school and has a similarly sinewy lithe build.

Davis Koetter (JR) 6'2" 190 Portland State
He is the son of NFL coach Dirk Koetter. Came to college as a QB but has switched over to WR and has become Portland State's top threat. He had 38 receptions for 626 and 8 TD's. With two more years to play and his dad having connections hopefully he will get a shot at the league.

Garrett Maag (JR) 6'4" 215 North Dakota
Started 11 games with 59 receptions for 610 yards and 5 TD's. Had 5 TD's as a freshman as well. Big bodied athletic kid.

Brian Saunds (SR) 5'10" 187 Valdosta State
He has a unique story. Coming out of high school had no offers and joined the Army National guard and started volunteering at a local high school as a coach. Then started taking classes at a local junior college then decided to give football a chance. Transferred to Valdosta and walked on. But through his first 3 seasons has 114 receptions for 1,882 yards and 21 TD's. He is older but has legit speed.
