great times for both guys, shame about the wind.
you can add 2 "Australian" Europeans to the list if you want.
Jack Hale has legal 10.10 and 10.12 this year.
Rohan Browning has a legal 10.16 while running within himself in the heat, followed by a final time at the same meet (to beat Hale) with 10.06 (+2.2).
A shame that a flukey few minutes of slightly over the limit wind prevented a legal 10.07 or so.
welcome to the forum. As a fellow Australian, it’s great to see! We’ll have some excellent chances in a few years!
So you think she is Manti Te'o's new lover? I know she is too shapely to be a Gender bender unlike various 800 meter medalists of the last ten years.....Ah what the hell. I figured I would mention a random athlete. Lets see oh here is one. Alica Schmidt. Just happens to be drop dead gorgeous but don't let that throw you off. Actually I am still trying to figure out if she is for real or just yanking men around. See below her latest update where she discusses her training for the 2021 Summer Olympics.

No offense to the lady but 12 flat and 24 flat aren't cutting it at anything close to the world level, she is only a soon to be 22 so there is chance for improvement to go sub 12 and 24, but at this point she is more model who sprints than sprinter who models.ALICA SCHMIDT

her 400m time is decent at 52.21, if she can improve that by a second or so she is in the picture.
I will defer to the masters class competitor, but at the Canadian national level which I suspect is a shade below the German she would barely make the final in the 100 and 200, I don't have reference on her 400 but I know that is a weaker event which rarely has world class Canadian competitors.her 400m time is decent at 52.21, if she can improve that by a second or so she is in the picture.
There are still track meets happening in the southern hemisphere.
One result that got my attention is Australian, Christopher Ius 10.24 (1.9).
Never heard of this guy, but perhaps he's an up and comer to watch for next year.
I recall a Japanese wide receiver getting a tryout by an NFL team and being cut and stashed on a now defunct European league team. Similar to Dwain Chambers and other sprinters the football skills of these type of players are going to be high school player level at best. Also unless they have a rugby background their core strength won't be a modern receivers ability.I wonder if any football scouts have travelled over to Japan and China looking for potential prospects? They seem to have a lot of really fast high school sprinters. I wonder if we may see some Japanese or Chinese college wide receivers at some point. I’m surprised the NFL hasn’t tried to capitalize on the Chinese market yet like the NBA has.
Duplantis broke the world record in the pole vault twice, topping 6.17m and 6.18m on back-to-back weekends in February just a few weeks before the global coronavirus pandemic ground the sporting world to a halt. When competition finally resumed, Duplantis capped his season and produced the highest outdoor vault of all time (6.15m) and finished the year undefeated in 16 competitions.
Duplantis, who celebrated his 21st birthday last month, is the youngest athlete ever named World Athlete of the Year.
“It was a really strange season, for me and everybody, but I was able to put it together and get some pretty good results," said Duplantis, who received the Rising Star Award in 2018.
“I just wanted to go out there and show the world what I was capable of and put my name out there with some big performances. I was able to do that and had some good heights, especially during the indoor season.
“When everything got shut down and things were pushed back to the end of the season, I was able to find some good form there as well which, for me, was more impressive than my indoor season because I'd had two months off.
“I think it’s cool when people describe me as the face of the sport, but it's not something that I need to be or that I must have,” he added. “I just try to go out there, I try to jump high, I try to break world records, I try to just keep improving.”
