Since 2014, the Jaguars have started 4, 9, 2, 5, 7, and 5 whites. They start 7 in 2020. Very few in the way of role players or two deeps but have the statistical anomaly of a snow plow line in the sun belt.

For the bulk of the year it looks like the jags have been playing a rotation at QB with the quota getting the bulk of the work, but Chance Lovertich has put up some decent numbers with 5 TD and 545 yards a quarter of the way through the season

Offense
Brandon Crum – TE
Wyatt Green – LT
Hadon Merchant – LG
Brian Ankerson – C
Jacob Shoemaker – RT
Connor Estes – RG

Defense
Riley Cole - LB

Two Deeps
Chance Lovertich - QB,Destin Myers – TE, Cade Sutherland – WR, Tanner McGee – QB, Brock Higdon – DE

Former Utah redshirt senior QB Jake Bentley transferred to South Alabama.
Bentley (6'4/220) joins new OC Major Applewhite at USA, where he will likely take over as the starting quarterback next season. It will mark his third school in three years after the redshirt senior transferred from South Carolina to Utah in the offseason last year. This year he completed 62 percent of his passes for 882 yards, 7.1 yards per attempt, six touchdowns and six interceptions for the Utes. He will attempt to revamp a lackluster South Alabama offense that only averaged 19.9 points per game last year, which was the16th worst mark in the nation.

Are you a South Alabama grad? As an old Mobilian that's where I went. Haven't kept up with them much because they seemed to have nothing but ******** in the past. Your latest news sounds hopeful.

About six years ago I wrote to the Director of Athletics there and asked him if he would consider making a coaching offer to Brett Favre. Favre lives in Hattiesburg, Mississippi which is only about an hour's drive or so from Mobile, and I'd conjectured that Favre, with nothing to do but hunt, chase women, and drink, might be interested in taking a job so close. We were perpetually weak at QB and I figured a name like Favre would attract some fine QB talent. The Director responded that it was a novel idea (read "bizarre") but I don't think he ever made any contact. I figured it wasn't that hard: just pick up the phone and say how'd you like to give meaning to your life and come teach young men?

I still think it was a good idea.

Shoot Favre to South Alabama sounds good to me @shamrock . We love him up here in Dairy Country. I'm sure Mobilians would welcome him!
I know he's been a HS coach since retiring, so he is in the profession.

I'd like to see South Alabama recruit some more Stud LBs now that they've had the joy of baking Jared Cole! Maybe they can land a transfer or two.
