Yes they panned to #24 as he looked up at the big screen. It wasn't a complete "Chris Conte like" stare down but yes they showed the DB.

What I noticed watching the immediate aftermath of the play was how they downplayed (as in not mentioning) how great Kupp is after the catch. He's one of the most elusive players in the league, routinely getting yards after the catch, and he made that long touchdown look easy. But is he ever described as a big play receiver? Ever since his big game in London in the middle of last season, the culmination of a huge first eight games for him, his full usage has "mysteriously" been throttled down. And it's unlikely the Rams' offense will ever get back to being great again unless Kupp's greatness is made an essential part of it.

Great letter, Leonardfan. It's unlikely King will change, but at least he's been made aware in a respectful way that we're out there. The old saw when it comes to letters to the editors in newspapers is that each person who bothers to write represents hundreds if not thousands of others.

Haha I know...when it comes to black quarterbacks I get caught up in the moment. It didn't help that on Saturday they were pushing hard for the NDSU black quarterback with his "one game audition". I am just fed up with the agenda.
I hear you. I can't help but lash out at times as well.

Thanks for the info on Singleton. I looked him up now, he was apparently signed by Seahawks (bad luck there...) in 2015. Poor guy had a lengthy racial apprenticeship! I'm happy he got to make his mark.

The ever fragile Sony Michel is out for tonight's game. James White will be returning and Belichick has also been utilizing a 5' 6" scrub type named J. J. Taylor, but it's still a potential opportunity for Rex to build off of last week's big performance in front of a national audience. Stay healthy Rex!

Kucksbury keeps on kucking:

Cardinals WR Andy Isabella ran 18 pass routes in Week 4 against the Panthers.

It was the fewest pass routes among the four wideouts in the team's regular rotation. Christian Kirk, returning from injury, ran 32 routes, finishing with 19 yards and a touchdown against Carolina. Isabella posted two grabs for three yards. Head coach Kliff Kingsbury continues to ignore the pleas of fantasy football Twitter as Isabella remains a little-used option in the Arizona passing game. How rude. Meanwhile, Larry Fitzgerald, who has 88 yards on 236 offensive snaps this season, ran 14 more routes than Isabella in Week 4.

On the NFL network one of the crew whose life matters was breaking it all down for us and noted that a team (I forget which) was now at "three and one in four games."

Hard to believe with the movie industry slowed to a crawl but they have managed to squirt out the long awaited sequel to the "Weekend At Bernie's" franchise. It is called "Weekend at Fitzgerald's."

We should point out to the DWFs and the sports talking heads that mega-bust JaMarcus Russell got a huge amount of draft hype from a similar "one game audition" (the 2007 Sugar Bowl against a very weak Notre Dame defense).

P.S. Typing "JaMarcus" results in an autocorrect to "Jamarcus." Looks like Caste Football's White-friendly software doesn't recognize the glorious diversity of dindu names. ;):afro:

Looks like Gunner has been activated by the Pats. He was the kick returner. #80. I'm pretty sure that was him.

Gunner with the punt return. First time I’ve heard his name pronounced. Apparently it’s “Olshevski”.

Shot off an email to Peter King after going through his weekly Monday morning article. I suggest others do the same:

Hello Peter,
I have read your column for pretty much my whole adult life. I am 38 now but can still recall making it a point to read you for your NFL coverage back in 2002 as a 20 year old. Over the years it has become obvious that you like to add a pinch of your political beliefs into the article which has been a big turn off for me personally. I have always considered myself libertarian, I never preached politics or told people how to think - a live and let live type of mentality. In life you go through experiences, you observe, you ask questions and want to challenge the status quo if you see something wrong.

The first thing from the article I wanted to bring up was the unwarranted hit on Sam Darnold by indicating that the Jets should draft Trevor Lawrence. The Jets are a bad team - bad o-line, Bell has proven to be a big time FA bust, the TE Herndon who was hyped up is awful. Also last time I checked Darnold is a QB and they do not play defense. The Jets defense has been laughable this year, one of if not the worst in the league. They are indicative of everything wrong with the defenses around the league - lack of discipline, poor fundamentals, poor game planning, no adjustments etc. To write off Darnold right now is ridiculous. If you recall last year you said watching Jacoby Brissett vs. Deshaun Watson was something you looked forward for years to come - that did not age well at all!

Off to the second issue with your column today regarding The Undefeated's story on Jack Trice. The Undefeated is a racist site - let's just start off by saying that and Rhoden is an agitator milking a 97 year old story for all it is worth to push an agenda. What happened to Jack Trice almost 100 years ago has no context in the reality of today. It's sad it happened for sure but it is in no way timely except for those blind to the truth. I'd love for someone to address the real issues going on in the black community instead of bringing up 100 year old stories or the media today stoking fires with a false agenda of black victim hood. Why isn't the terrible sad story of Cannon Hinnant national news? Why aren't NFL players wearing his name on their helmet? In August over the course of eight days from August 9th-16th 5 black on white murders were committed (John Shockley, Nichole Merrell, Veronica Baker, Nathan Garza are the other four white victimes). This is what is really going on and it's much worse than the false narrative of cops killing innocent black people.
I am going to continue with The Undefeated. If there was a site that promoted white athletes, if ESPN created a subsite to support and give a platform to the issues white athletes face it would immediately be branded as racist and cancelled. The racial hypocrisy is astounding. Their promotion of pushing majority black starting QBs in this country last year reeked of racism and black supremacy. That site is what has set me off on my crusade to expose the NFL and college football for what they are doing to white athletes.

And now I am going to make you think outside of your safe box and the status quo that you both live in and push on others:
Why isn't there a push for more white running backs? Do you really think that only Christian McCaffery is the only white male with the ability to be a starting running back in the NFL? Digging deeper - both Wes Welker and Jordy Nelson were two of the dominant WRs - why aren't we seeing a push to get more white WRs in the league? Do you really think that after Jason Sehorn white athletes magically lost the ability to play cornerback?
I have followed the NFL draft for 15 years and caught on pretty quickly to the system put in place to discount and write off white athletes. Here is a list of adjectives used to describe white athletes:
Gym Rat
Sneaky Athletic
Sneaky Fast
More quick than fast
Blue Collar
Brings his lunch pail to work
These are all back handed "compliments" that also denigrate white athletes to a degree. Spoiler alert: The caste system exists in pro sports and is used to filter out white athletes starting with high school recruiting and going up through the draft. A black player is going to get more offers/looks because he is black - that's systemic racism for you. I know you will write me off as crazy but like I said earlier I have followed this league, the draft and football recruiting for 15 years and it's no coincidence. There is plenty of evidence out there. You may want to start doing some real journalistic research in finding and exposing the truth rather than just doing your part to cover up for the status quo.

Let us know if you get an answer.

WinoVich! They blow the play dead for no reason! @FootballDad you know that is BS.

Mahomes loses the ball going down due to Winovich hitting him, the Pats look to recover the ball before it hits the ground (int?) or at worse it's a fumble recovery. There was no reason to call that play dead. Another questionable call that benefits Mahomes and the Chiefs. Maybe I am not as crazy as everyone thinks!

They also missed a late hit on the QB that they always call and a KC interference too. Maybe the calls will even out as the game goes on but so far 3-0 Chiefs.

Some of us have been saying this for the past few years - they are getting alot of favorable calls.

Boneheaded play by Hoyer who should of known better

And then just now throwing a very low percentage long ball on third and four instead of just trying to pick up the first down. Maybe Belichick should do what Shanahan did last night when Beathard replaced Mullins and put Stidham in to see if he can light a spark. If he does hopefully he won't wait until the very end of the game though like the 49ers did.

Yea they talked up Stidham all summer. Hoyer had some solid performances but his time has passed. Stidham is also pretty damn athletic so he can do some of the read option plays too.

Packers without Adams and Lazard. Really blows Kumerow was purged.. Hopefully big nights for Tonyan, Degaura, and Sternberger.

Looking forward to seeing Summer's in his 2nd start. Along with Lancaster and Lowry who are constantly questioned by critics.

Wow. Hoyer takes another sack on 3rd down, and fumbles. Second brain fart of the game, costing points. Add the dropped interception on the first drive by McCourty and Belichick failing to challenge the Mahomes fumble/interception. I’m expecting the Chiefs to take over the game from here.

Stidham is in. Let's see what he can do.
