For recent Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles. A broken clock is right twice a day. The real shame of it is that he gets to put in a winner instead of an Ohio State like affletetic QB or the great Desean Watson. Let those guys get the W throwing to a one legged Jimmy Graham.

Look at the long game - Foles is going to play now. Trubisky is pushed out and the Rodent gets his black quarterback next year. Again, nothing against Foles but he struggled outside of the 2013 season - he faltered with the Rams (although that was not completely his fault), was a back up in KC, a backup with the Eagles and got hot during the playoff run, lost out to Minshew in Jacksonville and was traded to the Bears. If Foles was 25 I'd be happy because hey it's a push if Trubisky gets pushed out but I am pretty certain Foles will end up keeping the seat warm for a black quarterback in Chicago come next year. Also, you should be upset at the ineptness of the Bears under Nagy to essentially destroy a young players confidence and career.

Ben Nieman has also been out there most plays, but also not a starter. Gotta keep the all-black defense narrative going. . .
 
Another questionable penalty call there....I wish they would really scale back on penalties. Some of this stuff is becoming really tick tacky.
 
With Tarik Cohen of the Bears tearing an ACL, maybe they finally will let Nall have a few touches. Between the way they treat Trubisky and Nall, I really dislike this team. Not to mention they have doing this for decades.

So next Sunday let's hope they are forced to release Ryan the "Wrecking Ball" Nall and watch him show his stuff. The guy has no business riding the bench or any practice squad. Nall should be the starting running back.

You can add Cole Kmet to the list as well. The refusal to play him or any other TE besides the over the hill Jimmy Graham is a joke.

Yeah not really buying all that. Foles was barely given an opportunity with the Jags after getting injured. He was yanked at the first opportunity for Minshew after coming back, and honestly I can't really blame them Minshew is a very promising qb and you can do more with less with a guy like that. Foles needs a good team around him to really shine but when he gets the opportunity he can really show out, the big problem with him is he gets injured quite a bit so he's not exactly the most reliable option. But if he does stay healthy I expect the Bears to go a long way. The reason Nagy yanked Mitch is because he wasn't showing anything against the Falcons, who probably have the worst D in football. Mitch still has a decent chance of getting back in the drivers seat considering Foles injury history.
 
Oh and speaking of the Falcons D, Cominsky is going to break out soon. He's already the best player on that line and had some great plays against the Bears although he didn't stuff the stat sheet. he forced an incompletion with a hit on Foles and also forced Foles to dump the ball of for a loss by steaming down the middle. He's been doing that kinda thing week after week and I think he's gonna do damage next week against the Packers even though Rogers doesn't get sacked a lot.

Let's be honest - I think all QBs need a support system around them - whether it's personnel around them, coaches with aptitude to scheme an offense to a QBs strengths and maintain accountability across the board. Foles 2013 season was great - the right QB in the right system firing on all cylinders. I do hope Foles plays well - you are right he does have some injury history. Once the Bears WRs start dropping passes thrown by Foles I wonder what will happen next. Let's see if the running game gets on track with Foles or if it continues to it's mediocrity with a supposed stud RB back there in Montgomery.
 
Once they start dropping passes? Did you watch the game? He had 2 TD’s overturned, the 2nd of which was a terrible drop that cost them a possession. The guy has been railroaded more than any other QB in modern football. He reminds me of Sam Bradford, ( who was more injury prone). When he is on he is on like no other. He is also a much netter rhythm passer than Mitch ( or at least the version of football MT was allowed to play). That doesn't show up in the stat sheet, but its a huge asset in the Rodents offense.

Miller and Robinson both drop passes. Miller dropped one two weeks ago against the Giants that would of been a sure TD. I'll be sure to keep a tally from here on out. Last year the bears dropped 25 passes - 3rd in the league.

Bradford was a china doll - real injury prone QB. Overrated too IMO. I'd take Foles over him anyday.
 
I almost like Lamar in the sense that his favorite targets are white tight ends by far and he makes a lot of jacksss plays that make him look bad when he’s not running
 
I saw Nieman get a sack for KC....
Sorensen did ok/pedestrian....I was hoping for a splash play or two.

Embarrassing performance for the MVP. Shocking, right? Because the Hall of Fame is full of running quarterbacks.
 
The Ravens were outclassed last night. Like I said last year the Ravens are not winning the Super Bowl. Not exactly a one trick pony but they lack dimensions. The great Travis Kelce chewed up their D with a 6-87 (on 7 targets) stat line.

I feel DC Steve Spagnuolo deserves another shot at HC. Before he arrived Sorensen was thought of as a reserve who got a lot of playing time. Now he is a starter out there an entire game and is an essential player to them. Ben Niemann as mentioned above had a sack but he also recovered a fumble. And he played a lot last night especially on passing downs and looked good out there. I would like to see what Spagnuolo's team would look like if he had a say in the roster make up? His first head coaching gig back when wasn't all that caste oriented.

It's no secret how to defense the Ravens. The Titans brought out the template in the playoffs. Focus on stopping the option attack and do man-to-man or hybrid zones. This both stops the run and doesn't allow Eraserhead any time to throw, he can't quickly go through reads like Drew Brees. The Chiefs are set up for this well as their outside CB's are decent and Sorensen and Niemann are excellent at covering the TE's and backs.
 
With Christian Kirk out Week 3, here are the snap counts for the Arizona receivers on Sunday:

DeAndre Hopkins: 94%, which resulted in 12 targets for 10 catches and 137 yards
Larry Fitzgerald: 86%, which resulted in 3 targets for 1 catch for 0 yards
The legendary KeeSean Johnson: 71%, which resulted in 7 targets for 2 catches for 24 yards
Andy Isabella: 40%, which resulted in 4 targets for 4 catches for 47 yards and 2 TDs

Fitzgerald has had a great career but is now a shell of his former self.

Johnson sucked last year and he sucks again this year -- last year he caught just half of the targets thrown his way, for 21 catches for only 187 yards, a puny 8.9 ypc average, and 1 TD.

Isabella by contrast has caught 15 of the 19 passes thrown his way last year and this year, for 303 yards, a gaudy 20.2 ypc average, and 3 TDs.

Kirk even when healthy has been a disappointment thus far in his NFL career. Will be interesting to see if Kucksbury continues to greatly underuse Isabella in coming games. Does he want to maximize his team's chances to win or does he want to continue to play Caste games?

Weenieworld treating Jackson with kid's gloves. Have yet to see any scathing analysis of Jackson. Compare this to the crosshairs on Wentz.

Lamar Jackson completed just 15-of-28 passes for 97 yards and one touchdown in the Ravens' 34-20, Week 3 loss to the Chiefs Monday night.
Jackson rushed nine times for 83 yards to help save his fantasy day some, but this was a career worst passing day for last year's MVP, as his previous career low for passing yards was 105 yards. Jackson had 35 yards rushing and passing at halftime. The Ravens tried to make a second-half run, closing the gap to seven points after Jackson threw a short touchdown to Nick Boyle with 14:55 left in the fourth quarter. But it was too little, too late after a horrendous first half by the Ravens as a team. Jackson has struggled multiple times against Chiefs DC Steve Spagnuolo now in his career but should bounce back in a big way next week against Washington.
 
Classic weenieworld bias, especially with the last sentence. "(Eraserhead) should bounce back in a big way." An unfactual guess that they're attempting to push as truth. Even if Eraserhead puts up better stats, it'll be because of Washington's weakness, not any improvement on his part.
