Jewlian was coddled and fast tracked in a way no other White offensive Patriot player was eg Chas Gessner, Buddy Farnham, Zac Dorazio, Jeremy Ebert etc. Jewlian is a media creation of the Edelmans who control the caste system. And when you cool down, check out Julian's career stats on Pro Football Reference. You'll see, just as I've mentioned, that Edelman was a bench warmer his first four seasons, typical for White receivers who eventually get an opportunity. To say he was "fast-tracked" and that he's a poster child for the Caste System is just plain wildly inaccurate.

I identified Edelman as a pro prospect in the 2009 draft based on his exceptional agility and short area speed, quickness and change of direction ability. This was based on his elite 10 yard dash, short shuttle and three cone and review of video.

I knew nothing about his background.

I thought he should have been drafted higher than the seventh round. He was a legitimate pro prospect.

Edelman is an absolute favorite of mine and many others here. He did his white apprenticeship in the league and has consistently been undervalued by the media.

Yesterday was the worst day for injuries I can recall and I've been complaining about the many injury prone NFL players for a long time. White and black players alike were felled, could be a lack of conditioning or not enough contact and tackling in training camps this year along with no preseason games.

I agree - injuries seem to be mounting. I 100% believe it to stem from lack of contact / full-speed practice. Simply put players are not “game conditioned” any more.

The 49ers are flaming mad and are blaming the sticky field turf at MetLife field for their rash of devastating injuries. And guess what? They head back there Sunday to play the Giants.

I have banged the drum about field safety for some time now. When the owners and players reached an agreement this off season the mainly black players were mostly concerned about getting a green light for pot use and a loosening of the overall drug program. Translation? They get to smoke weed to their hearts content and take more performance enhancing drugs without fear of being reprimanded. The owners cheerfully signed on knowing that it was a small concession on their behalf.

What the players didn't seem to care about are field conditions and harsher penalties for head shots. On the latter issue the players should have insisted adopting the stricter college system but they were more concerned about being kicked out of games.

On the fields the owners save wads of money using these quasi artificial surfaces whereas grass is a much more expensive proposition. But the short sighted ( mainly black) players never insisted that all fields should be grass based. And some of these injuries are at least partially the result of non grass surfaces.

Sure players get injured on grass too but these new field turfs are more hazardous. The 49ers are learning the hard way.

The 49ers game with Jets contributed to at least 4 players being out for an extended period. Supposedly a new turf was put on the field and it might be as unforgiving as the (Dis)astro turf of the 70's. With Bosa, Jimmy G, and Thomas out for San Francisco you could argue that they could be in the running for the top pick.

I think the union should file a grievance over the working conditions in Giants Stadium, I recall the Raiders and another team threatening to walk out on poor field conditions in Saskatchewan for a preseason game a few years ago.

I'm skeptical of Edelman getting a racial apprenticeship. The Patriots offense of 2010-2012 was a juggernaut built around Welker, Gronkowski, and Hernandez. Edelman got plenty of action as a rookie in 2009 before Gronkowski and Hernandez were drafted in 2010. Belichick also gave Edelman a chance to supplant Welker in 2012, and he wasn't able to do so. Everything changed in 2013, when Welker left for Denver, Gronkowski had back surgery, and Hernandez was revealed as a murderer. With the Patriots decimated on offense, Edelman stepped up and has never looked back.

I don't think Edelman received any major benefit for identifying as Jewish. He has been grossly underpaid in his career, just like Welker. The treatment of Josh Rosen has revealed there is no big benefit to being a Jewish NFL player. In keeping with their long history of avoiding physical labor, the Jewish interest in the NFL is in ownership and media.

T. J. Watt, who quite possibly has succeeded brother J. J. as the best defensive player in the league, had 2 1/2 sacks against the Broncos yesterday.

Meanwhile, it's cool that FB/human bowling ball Derek Watt is on the same team, but serves no purpose beyond taking up a roster spot. If it was me and I had a Watt brother on offense to experiment with, the least I would do is try him out at power back. Even if he has no moves he has the strength to average 4 yards a carry and likely more, but we'll never know. But injury prone James Conner, who has few moves himself, maintains the "bellcow" position on Pittsburgh with 4.7 speedster Benny Snell as his backup.

Rosen sucks, and is a locker room cancer. To his credit, he is a lot more Jewish than one drop of blood rule Edelman. So thats a much better comparison, but then again he also sucks so its tough to measure.

Ryan Braun, Shawn Green, Kevin Eukalis, Steve Stone ( who is a really good announcer, Romo-like in predicting plays) are better to be judged off of their questionable strike zone and publicity. The real criminal activity lies in the front office/ GM positions however. Plenty of chosenites tgere tgat never so much as played tee-ball.

It's surprising that no team has Josh Rosen on their active roster. He was a top ten pick only two years ago. Some analysts were saying he was the best quarterback in the 2018 draft. Right now he's on Tampa Bay's practice squad.
