It's kind of sad that the Pats decided to go with Scam this year rather than develop Stidham. They are a year behind now in terms of the long term plans at the position.

Good point.

Even with 7 teams, they are unlikely to make the playoffs. Then if they do, they’re probably an easy out. You could argue that the Pats could have a similar record if they started Stidham all year. Newton had a few good games but has mostly been an anchor dragging them down. Stidham would have likely struggled too but there was some upside that he could have improved as the season went on.

But what do we know? We’re not geniuses like Bill B....

They had a funny graphic earlier in the broadcast on the Pats WR drafting woes since 2010 too - another example of the genius Bill B at work. Aikman and Buck have been way too kind to Scam tonight.

Myles Garret - Browns Walter Payton man of the year nominee...LOL. Swing a helmet as a weapon against whitey - get nominated for awards.

I did like how Fox highlighted the Patriots ineptitude at drafting receivers earlier in the broadcast. Since 2010, the Pats have gotten the least production of any NFL team with receivers they drafted. The list was all affletes, with the exception of Jeremy Ebert and Braxton Berrios who were both drafted in the 6th or 7th round. It was unmentioned, but obvious if you follow the Patriots at all, that they’re success came from White receivers they picked up off the scrap heap. Amendola, Hogan and Welker if you go back further.

Funny we were thinking the same thing. Was typing up similar thoughts as you posted this.

Berrios has also been decently productive with the woeful Jets. It's no surprise that it's UDFA Gunner O who has been the most recent successful paleface for the Pats.

Don’t you know he’s a gentile giant who reads and writes poetry? He was simply the victim of Randolph’s unheard racial slurs.

Did you see how after Goff's INT they put up the graphic that Goff has the most turnovers since 2019. Second on the list was Jameez who has played about a half of football this year and all 35 of his turnovers came last year. Daniel Jones and Wentz also made the list but again they played two seasons and accumulated those turnovers. Anus did it all in one season.

Ha, just saw that. Rips a guy’s helmet off and attempts to murder him with it, then when asked about his insanity, his response is priceless- ‘durrr, he said the n-word... yep, man of the year right there... good job nfl.

Yeah. When TB left I thought it would be the obvious choice. Rebuilding with a possible longterm solution would have been the right thing to do if you ask me.

I missed that part but it’s funny how Crab Legs had a good 2 or 3 years worth of turnovers in 2019. I’m also sure it’s intentional that they didn’t go back to say 2016, which would measure out the length of Goff’s career. If they did, Winston would have had a staggering lead on the turnovers and Goff would have been much further down this list.

Yea very true. Winston is prolific with his turnovers and he never experienced the same criticism as Goff, Wentz and Jones.

Aikman also insinuated that McVay did not trust Goff on that 3rd and 5 call in which they ran the ball on their last drive. Goff through the ball 47 times in their victory over AZ on Sunday - fact is the Rams are having alot of success running against the Pats. Aikman and Buck have been pretty damn bad tonight if you ask me.

Yea, for whatever reason, Aikman has taken a turn for the worse this year.

Gunner O averaging 14 yards a punt return. The Pats best weapon today.

I just read a story on the game last night in the Boston Globe. The writer was very complimentary of White players. But it said that after the game BB said Newton was still the QB - we'll see.

I don’t want Stidham to start. The sumo o-line and terrible receivers create a no-win situation.

I think playing Stidham was a win, win for the Patriots, if he was the goods he would be a long term solution, if he face planted the Patriots would be set up to grab a player near the top of the board. With the semi shot Newton they are in 7 and 9 to 9 and 7 territory which is a no mans land territory where you get a middle of the pack first round prospect and only a mediocre first round level qb...
