Good game for Burkhead. He had some crucial touches in the 4th quarter that helped the Patriots do just enough to squeak out a win.

Great game for my man Burky again. He's been a go to guy for the Pats this year 6 touchdowns already so far.

Also good games for Winovich 7 tackles playing more inside linebacker and the sack for Simon.

Am I the only one who looks at Chase Winovich and thinks hes Under Achieving? He is a freak athlete who tested off the charts and the combine I assumed he would be a more explosive wrecking ball like a young Clay Matthews. Could have to do with defensive scheming, the Patriots haven't had a dominate pass rusher since Chandler Jones so that could defiantly be a factor.

No I think they're safety first, Pats often play bend not break and aren't aggressive unfortunately in the blitz to help Chase. Think he has a good career ahead of him though with the Pats fingers crossed.

Not sure where @Shadowlight is but I'll bring up the Taysom Hill question this week. Why did Payton decide to go with Jameezzz over Hill if he seems to have this undying belief that Hill has starter level potential? Wouldn't Payton want to get Hill as many live reps as possible? My guess is Payton is just going to string Hill along and use him as a gadget player. Every report we hear about Hill seems to be contradicted with how the Saints actually use him.
I couldn't agree more Leonardfan. I don't think Hill will ever start at QB for the Saints. They don't seem to have plays design to throw the ball for Hill. How many passes has he thrown this year? 4 or 5 at the most. He hurt himself with another fumble yesterday. He should take his money any go try somewhere else because he will not be playing QB in Chocolate City.
If Payton was using Winston on special teams I'd say he had a chance to play QB. Every time Hill plays on special teams his chance of taking over for Brees decreases. Brees has been hurt for two weeks according to Fox Sports this should have been the game Hill played for Brees to see if he would be the future QB, but who did they bring in, Winston. I hope I am wrong about this because nobody loves seeing white players shine more than me. I will gladly eat crow if he proves me wrong.

They do this to every athletic white QB. New Orleans fans were actually excited about Taysom Hill taking over this year and then they convinced Brees to come back and picked up the worst qb in the NFL Winston and placed him in front of Hill. So predictable.

Winston being given another chance after showing her cant be safe with the ball and consistent for years just shows how ingrained the system is against so many of our guys.

Stats and measurables will show that Hill has the game and skill set to be exactly what people are looking for in the new running quarterback era but unfortunately it would seem is the wrong colour for it.

One of the issues is that Winovich is light for a defensive end and has issues taking on blocks against much bigger offensive linemen. Winovich is playing at 250 pounds and lower.
He's ideally suited to play in a 3-4, the way Matthews did, but the Patriots play a 4-3.

Yes the Pats play a 3-4 which requires bigger DE (think JJ Watt size) and Winovich is likely too lean for this role. He played well as an off the ball linebacker last night, just as Clay Matthews (amazing he hasn’t been signed yet...) was in GB but for both Vikings their ideal role is an edge rusher in a 4-3.

Brees might miss some time and somehow Jameezz seems to have leapfrogged Hill as the presumed starter. Just goes to show none of these coaches can be trusted.

Winovich had a big game last night and has been the Patriots' best defensive player this season, as the Boston media regularly acknowledges. This follows a very successful rookie year despite limited playing time. The Winovich thread makes clear that he had been held back some this season by Belichick inexplicably cutting way back on his playing time for a good month despite his production, which fortunately ended the past two games.

Here we go again:

Cooper Kupp ran 29 pass routes in the Rams' Week 10 win against the Seahawks.
Meanwhile, Josh Reynolds ran 37 routes and Robert Woods ran 35 routes against Seattle. Reynolds paced the team with 10 targets. Kupp, who played just 53 percent of the team's offensive snaps, looked to be bothered by a wrist injury he sustained in Week 8 against Miami. Perhaps that explains his Week 10 usage. Either way, it's clear Reynolds is emerging as a weekly fantasy option for the Rams. Reynolds has a 22 percent target share over the team's past three games, second only to Kupp. He leads the team by a wide margin with 327 air yards in those three games.

I realize I made a mistake in my post. Winovich is ideally suited to play outside linebacker in a 3-4. For years the Patriots played a 3-4. Now they play a 4-3.

Winovich couldn't play DE in a 3-4. He e could do it in a 4-3 but he's a little light for that. He's best suited as a linebacker in a 3-4.

I think he would excel with his hand in the dirt, flying off the edges.

He has speed and relentless energy for days, just like Matthews. He is also athletic enough to play as an off the ball linebacker as well as we saw with his stellar play last night.

I think to be fair to belichick hes trying to find a role that fits the system. I don't think hes a natural fit but they obviously likes his physical skills which is why they drafted him. Hes got great talent think hes got everything to be great in the NFL

I’ll bet you two beers LF.....On the over....
With Montgomery out, if Nall does t start and get 10-15 carries, I’m pissed.....

My guess is the Nagy is going to have Patterson be the primary, Miller the back up and then use Nall sparingly mostly in passing situations as pass protection.

To the little extent Nall has been used, The Rodent has treated him like a fullback or h-back instead of a running back, hope it's different tonight but I'll be pleasantly surprised if it is.

Sweet catch, I like that it happened after Louis Riddick said when it was third and three, "This is Adam Thielen territory" or something to that effect. Sounded like a stereotyping dig but I could be wrong as Riddick is generally pretty fair.

I like the way Cousins went for the TD on 3rd and 3 instead of just going for the first down. It shows that he has confidence in himself and in Thielen.

Cousins 7-for-7 so far.
