Like clockwork we saw some black NFL draft picks who had a long list of some of the following:
-injury history
-drug use
-classroom failures
-criminality
-character issues
It seemed none of the above issues affected any of the guilty black players at all. Most were taken where they were expected to be picked.
Meanwhile I suspect for LB Joe Batchie they used his drug suspension as a reason not to draft him.
Many of us are bewildered about LB David Woodward. I suspect they turned him away for the same reason they looked the other way from Chase Hanson and Porter Gustin last draft. Injury issues. White players not getting the benefit of doubt.
Now this will go down the irrelevant hole and he won't be picked up either which way but when I heard his name it jogged my memory and yes it was the same BYU WR who I posted about back in 2017 when he caught a sensational 40 yard TD as a sophomore. Beau Tanner came in as a WR but after a couple of seasons they moved him to DB. Position moves in college rarely work out. Tanner drifted about and even left BYU only to come back. He didn't see the field much.
Anyway he has special speed and was working out with an Olympian sprinter on his personal pro day. Easily one of the fastest prospects he recently burned a 4.3 40 yard dash. So just another white speedster who somehow got ignored by his coaching staff in college and now will be ignored by the NFL. He is 6'1 190 pounds and I'm not even sure he was on their roster this past season? He has a famous agent but it is because he knows Tanner's dad.
