Wisconsin has had so much talent come through the football program in the past 20 years. How come they've never been in the national title picture? I think it comes down to coaching.

Maybe this will be their year.

Ok so with 2 minutes left in the game let's look at the rb stats line now for Wisconsin:

Nakia Watson 19 rushes for 62 yards.
Issac Guerendo 11 rushes for 36 yards.

Garrett Groshek 13 rushes for 70 yards. So why is he not getting more carries and the primary back? He got alot of carries on the last drive but he is clearly not who they think will be the star? Even
the announcers say Groshek can do it all but isn't fast or powerful enough. Says who caste idiot announcers? Groshek deserves 15 to 20 carries a game. He should be a number one back in a fair world.

Agreed but glad he was the closer!

Not getting the Big Ten network is going to sting this year but I have made my choice and will have to live with it.

Looks like the Wisconsin defense played well and Groshek accumulated 99 efficient total yards. I suspect if he can average around 100 total yards a game the NFL will stay interested. Getting invited to the combine will offer us up the biggest clue as to his chances of getting drafted. He is extremely versatile with the way he can catch passes with ease. Those skills translate into the NFL. Being white on the other hand is a barrier though. But he must make consistent noise this season. So far so good I say.

I was out all last night, but I taped the game...
Seeing Epstein fumble and Groshek not starting (even though his name was shown with the starters on the screen, surprising) was disheartening.....Epstein had that nice 20+ yard run, GG ended up having the best stats and the QB shined..Illinois was tolerable to watch when Epstein first came on the scene and they had Jeff George Jr at QB....Then Epstein got hurt, JGJ didn’t pan out and they ended up with a loathsome, lumbering typical cast(e) of characters.. I was looking for Scott Nelson, but didn’t see him, though I did zip through the game pretty fast, I’ll look him up.
If this game was a test to see who the best Wisconsin back was, Groshek shined and should deserve starters carries from here on.....But Coach sees him, like the announcers, as a third down back/utility knife player......Look for more wildcat as the year unfolds.....

1st Series ...about the 4th play ...Nebraska back up QB Luke McCaffrey comes in to play TAILBACK= ELECTRIC 47 Yard Run! Nearly scoring a TD!

Am i counting 5 or 6 white players on Defense for Nebraska?? Let me double check!

Ole Miss QB Matt Corral 1st series ...drives em down the field; then throws INT in EndZone...

John Rhys Plumlee comes in! 2nd series ...35 yard run! "A RB that can throw"

I don't think that many whites on D. Four? Yes that was an exciting run. Hearing big things about LM.

Couple of quick notes. Just noticed on web S Nolan Turner with an interception. Actually saw DE Wyatt Hubert with a sack. Very explosive player.
And QB Noah Vedral is starting for Rutgers and they lead Michigan St. 21-7. Martinez is the starting QB at Nebraska and they are tied 14-14 with the Buckeyes in a good one.

A little. LM also took some snaps. I think it is a matter of time before he takes over at QB. I did notice on the web Plumlee has 50 yards on 5 carries today so far.

Remember when the media were all fawning over Martinez? Saying he was the best QB frost ever recruited and perfect for his offense. Considering the amount of hype and his failure to live up to it Martinez has to be considered a failure.

I agree. Luke McCaffrey as a rb has a nice ring to it. I find it funny that most of the uber athletic white dual threat quarterbacks are not wanted. It will take away from the magical black dual threat qb takeover that we see in college and the nfl. The powers that
be just cannot let fans think that whites can do the same things at the quarterback position. Remember all whites are slow, uncoordinated, can't jump and tight hips. Oh they also don't have the magical smile.

Update. With 4 minutes left in the Nebraska vs Ohio St. Game, Luke McCaffrey has 7 rushes for 84 yards. He also has one reception and is 1 of 2 passing all against a stellar Ohio St. Defense. Keep the kid at running back or else play him at quarterback fulltime. I doubt the 2nd happens as Frost loves Martinez too much. Play Luke as your starting running back!

Maybe it's just me but there is a whole other feel to the day with the Big Ten in action. For the first time this season I feel like the season has finally started. LM is in for mop up duty. They play Wisconsin next week. Wonder if he will start?

The Big Ten does it for me too @Shadowlight

I have the SEC at the bottom of my list with the ACC just above them. So having to deal with those two under the spotlight has not been as enjoyable. Watching Wisconsin last night - that’s what football is supposed to look like!

Getting ready to watch Horvath crush.....Or could we get the other guy starting for Purdue
His name is King.....I was watching an earlier game where one of the players had a name “Master”.....You can’t make this crap up....
Then there’s the short bus, idiotic Biden commercials we have to endure.....l
