Might be one of those crazy weeks in college football. Maryland wins in wacko fashion.

WR Tyler Snead so far has an 11-78-1 stat line. On 11 targets. Proehl is at 3-42.

Now my next move is to try and get that song out of my head. Ha.

Look at Jake Funks High School Stats. He scored a touchdown 1 time out of every 5 times he touched the ball yet was only ranked a 3 star recruit. Oh I forgot he is white! What a joke.

At Damascus High School: 2015 Gatorade Maryland Player of the Year … Washington Post All-Metro Offensive Player of the Year … co-winner of the 2016 Herman Boone High School Player of the Year award ... a two-time consensus all-state selection … rushed for 2,866 yards and a Maryland record 52 touchdowns on 249 carries … led Damascus to an perfect 14-0 season as a senior, capturing the Maryland 3A State Championship … scored a record seven touchdowns in the state championship win over Dundalk, in addition to gaining 270 yards on the ground … rated a 3-star prospect by 247sports.com and Scout … coached by Eric Wallich.

I was out most of the evening.....I saw on the tv screen at the bar Funk running for 50 yards.....Then I saw his stats for the game. A lot of us here thought he’d be good if given the chance,....But because of injuries and other guys being “obviously” better, he’s never had a starting role.....Last year he had those long runs in the first game, but got injures again......I predicted, after a decent showing last week, that the Steelers would pick him up next year. Not drafting him, but getting him as a FA......One of their newer coaches has Maryland ties......More than likely he knows Funk as a well rounded, bad ass, team player that would fit well.......I usually tape (DVR) all games with running back possibilities, I forgot this one...There’s a re showing on BSPN at 3 a.m.

Sorry you missed watching it live Rocky B. I was wondering what you weren't posting as you love white running backs as much as I do. Your a great poster keeping us updated with the high school & college guys. Hope you get to see it. It was
so much fun to watch it live. He should have had more than 2 tds(1 running & 1 receiving)but they ignorred him in the red zone. Jake Funk is set to have a breakout year. No doubt about his immense talent! :)

“Whether it’s somebody telling me I’m not good enough or somebody telling me I’m not fast enough or somebody telling me I’m not a running back at the next level or I’m going to be at the defensive side of the ball — things like that, it motivates me a lot. I try to prove people wrong every time I play,” said Funk, who does play safety on defense.

Last night was a combination of new faces emerging and players we have expected to come through following form.

MD-Jake Funk didn't look like a player who has had a torn ACL and other injuries last night. Coming out of high school he was known for his 4.4 speed but obviously a lot has transpired since then. Junior LB Chance Campbell is a new face who exploded on the TV screen last night. 13 tackles, 1.5 sacks and 2.5 TFLs. Clearly Maryland's best defensive player and looked like an NFL prospect. Former Lacrosse player.

East Carolina-Blake Proehl 6-69. Tyler Snead 16-108-1. They lost and I missed the final quarter but think of this stat. And a few of the catches were very difficult. Tyler Snead was targeted 16 times! Which tells me 16 targets isn't enough. A relief to see these WRs finally start to play like they did last year. Having their QB back was the key.

Wyoming-Didn't catch much of this game but junior LB Puma had a solid game in their easy win. Two youngsters emerged. Sophomore well built DT Cole Godbout #94 had 7 tackles, I sack and 1 TFL. Even better was freshman DE Jordan Bertagnole #96 who had 7 tackles, 1.5 sacks and 2.5 TFLs.

Not a bad way to start off the week if you ask me. Today is the best slew of games to watch so far this season. And every time slot has something of interest. Let's hope the good times continue to roll!

I'm looking forward to seeing BYU steamroll Western Kentucky and for Dax Milne to have another 100+ yards receiving. The Notre Dame v Georgia Tech should also be entertaining.

Interested to see the Michigan/Sparty game. Minnesota looks to be off this year - their defense has been gashed in back to back weeks. Hoping the Spartans can rain on caste clown haurbaugh’s early hype parade.

Iowa-Northwestern game of the day.

Ehlinger returns to action today. Maybe just maybe they get Schooler involved.

Great to see the CFB weekly threads alive with commentary from everyone!

Cincinnati WR Alec Pierce with nice TD catch. Has Michigan State been written up yet? I see some white defenders out there.

I volunteered but haven’t done it yet, was waiting to see who actually was playing because their coach doesn’t release a depth chart. I’ll try to get it done this next week. Should be 3 DL and 3 LB’s who get playing time.

Just stole a fantastic INT from Nolan Turner. Touchy late hit call. Clemson struggling.

Kansas WR sighting. Freshman Luke Grimm 2-40.

I think Alec Pierce is banged up dammit?

No issues with Clemson struggling. BC has decided to stop Etienne and make oogabooga beat them. When Dabo has a non-white qb in there he becomes fago to me.

Nice FG by Clemson to stem the tide a bit. The Clemson backup has a very good arm . What he hasn't shown me yet is the ability to make a play on the move and he gets flustered with some pressure. Should be an interesting second half. The Clemson defense has been gashed and that Tuner play I thought was unfairly negated. I would think their D will play with more fire in the second half. If they don't it's lights out for them for the playoffs. This is the most caste BC team I can recall. No white defenders that I can see? Maybe one DL?

I’ve been watching the Purdue/Illinois game....
Horvath is on pace for 100 yards but he just fumbled for the second time.
Epstein has done ok, had a TD.....Didn’t start.....

Hopefully this new coach can get back to recruiting the traditional types of athletes BC was known for. The current roster is full of athletes from the addazio regime.

Quick little recap of white running backs for WL and the rest.....
Horvath just went over 100 yards, had a nice long run...
Epstein is 11-49-1
Trotter had two early carries for KSU, nothing since
Gregg for GaSt is only 5-8
Cooper Lutz is getting the bulk of the carries for Syracuse....He’s 12-58
Wisconsin and Nebraska getting F’ed really sucks....

I’ll be watching ArkSt at 3:30 to see if Pare can get a lot of carries....
Not holding my breath on Plumlee, but I’ll be watching that too....

Haven’t read up much on Air Force to see what’s up with Remsberg...

Karlaftis, a bad ass D Lineman for Purdue, got dinged up earlier in the game...
Dude is really good....

Nice updates!
Landon Akers (Iowa St) having a nice game so far .... 6 - 76

WR Alec Pierce getting healthy again makes Cincinnati more dangerous...

Good to see Epstein back healthy! Nice burst on the TD! And Lutz with a better stat line!
Horvath 100+....

Sorry to miss the game Don't Fake the Funk on the Nasty Dunk ....Jake Funk! 221 yards RUSHING! on just 21 carries & TD + 3 - 22 & TD receiving! HIGHLIGHTS were inpressive~! Healthy sure looked like a NFL Prospect to me!

TRUE George Karlaftis best D prospect from Purdue since Ryan Kerrigan! Anybody still remember DB Stuart Schweigert from back in the day?

Akers speedster underused for 4 years. Is Karlaftis playing? Pierce is out now. Sucks. Some injury?

Stuart S hell yes I remember him being a great athlete ( 4.4 speed ) and after I looked him up I do remember Purdue. Good job. Hell that is another diamond that hasn't been mentioned for years here.

Clemson showing nice poise. Can their defense turn animal now and finish the job?

This Zander Horvath of Purdue needs to remain the starter. He reminds me so much of Ryan "The Wrecking Ball" Nall from back in his Oregon St. Days. He was a legend in the northwest.

Today stats:

Zander Horvath 22 carries for 103 yards and 1 touchdown. In addition to that he had 7 catches for 71 yards! He aveaged almost 5 yards per carry on the ground and this giant also had a 35 yard run. This young
Super Man can do it all. The complete package. I'm going to be sick to my stomach if he gets benched when the other back is healthy. My guess is it will be more of a 50/50 split of carries if the coach is smart. I would
prefer to see Horvath remain the starter and get the bulk of the carries. He is the main reason they have won the last 2 games.

Very productive day for Horvath! He may eclipse 1k in a shortened season! Just hold on to that ball.

Two white Clemson interceptions erased by dumbass roughing the passer calls for Clemson.
