Herbie and Fowler talking about Michigan players and recruiting...failing to mention all the 4/5 star upsiders that have turned out to be absolute crap for UM though!

Bailey Gaither with the long TD catch. He's had quite a season so far.
Bailey Gaither had a HUGE game ..... 10 reception 208 yard game vs New Mexico on Halloween!
AND 8 catches for 110 yards vs. Air Force the Opener the week before.
He had a quiet game last week with the back up QB .

Showing the wheels again tonight toying with DB's on the 41 yard TD Catch!

RB Sean McGrew 21 yard TD Run! FAST!

San Jose State DE Cade Hall just got his 3rd sack of the night. This guy is really good and has producing since he first became a starter as a freshman.

I couldn’t get myself to watch the once beloved Stanford,
I did see in the box score Casey Filkins get a carry (for minus six yards)
It looks like their running game was stymied.....
What is going on?
They are a shell of their former selves.....

They got away from what made them successful in the first place and started chasing the 4 stars in the recruiting system instead of getting the unheralded players and developing them. When Haurbaugh got to Stanford they were a bad team and none of these affletes wanted to go there but as the Stanford brand was built up and they started becoming successful you see an increase in blacks magically. Boise St. is another strong example of winning while white only to become another school ripe for affletes to go to (I do think Chris Petersen was a consistently fair coach and their demise came once he left).

Bucky and I had a back and forth about this eariler in the thread. @TwentyTwo might have some insight - I think he watched them yesterday so he may be able to speak to the shortcomings in the running game...was it the offensive line not blocking/opening up holes, was is the RBs not showing vision or ability to make plays etc.

Maybe I am crazy but my theory makes sense to me and empirical evidence exists to back this up.
