MACtion snuck up on me again

Akron v Ohio
Kent St v Bowling Green
Miami (OH) v Buffalo

Currently watching. Cheering for The Redhawks over Leipolds Black Bulls.

*No Gabbert at QB? Mayer just threw an INT.

Gabbert was knocked out of the game last week - I think it was a concussion.

Gibson showing some fight and emotion for Akron. They may have lost but he didn't back down. Akron has some interesting pieces and with this lost season they could make some noise next year in the MAC.

The wide receivers for Miami suck.....
They’ve dropped three long passes....

Speed can’t catch, you need real football players....

Is Sorenson out tonight?
He’s the leading receiver tonight, only 7 completions so far but he has 3 catches for 38 yards.

It looks like Akron WR Jeremiah Knight is now playing RB? He had 7 carries tonight and on the season he has 18 carries for 96 yards to only 2 catches. He is also in his 3rd year as the starting return man.

Knight was mentioned last week, as I was unaware of him as a back......
Thought he may be 3/4

Look out for EMU WR Tanner Knue, only 5’11” 171lbs but he has been a playmaker for EMU. Last night he had a 8-121 stat line, week 1 he went 4-45.

Ball State RB Will Jones 8 carries 46 yards.

WMU S Harrison Taylor had an INT.

NIU true freshman Jordan Hansen is a starting safety, last week 4 tackles and an INT, last night 7 tackles and half a sack.

CSU / BSU with the lone thursday night game tonight. Both teams have had a bit of a QB carousel to start the season but it looks like it’ll be Bachmeir back in action for Boise against the now cemented starter Patrick O’Brien for the Rams

Appreciate the reminder will probably switch between that and NFL game.

Anyone else notice how thick Samson Evans is?
Dude looks like a fullback....
I never saw the kid play...
We’ve been talking about him for years....
Looks like he’s second on the depth chart after some rookie freshman...
4.5 yards per carry isn’t that bad of a start....
Had some tough runs......

Pleasant surprise - great to see him get carries. Bummed I missed the game.

One thing I like about the mid week Maction games....,
We should get to see a lot of Evans hopefully.....
I need to check in on Cole Gest....Haven’t heard a peep from him.....

Not sure what the deal with Gest is. Knight seems to be an RB now - converted from WR.

The "Contact Tracing" Protocol is what is wrecking havoc on the schedule. Not the actual Positive Test that most of the 18 - 23 year old athletes have mild / to no symptoms. Frustrating! 4 LSU Players test positive....but how many players are in "Quarantine"? = NO GAME

The NCAA is not the NFL...But they can appeal to the CDC; who has the final say; to loosen up some restrictions. They know a lot more about this virus now than back in March/April

LOL 10 GAMES cancelled or postponed this week.

Thanks to a couple of covid-inspired tweaks, Wisconsin looks poised to start NINE whites on offense on Saturday. On the other side of the ball, Michigan, who lost borderline All-American DE Aidan Hutchinson for the year with a leg fracture, will be starting ZERO whities on defense (and only four o-lineman on the other side of the ball).

Looking forward to it @Phall it's too bad Wisconsin fell victim to politics and missed 2 games due to the scamdemic.
