Since 2006, Clemson has started 7, 5, 5, 5, 2, 4, 3, 5, 5, 3, 6 , 6....Last year was up to 8. This year looks like 7

....>but keep an eye on Freshman D-Tackle Brian Breese 6'-5" 300 ; Last years Top HS Player in the Nation... (listed as Co Starter w two other players) ...could bump back up to 8

How many Power 5 schools(or ANY TEAM?) currently have 8 Scholarship Players on Defense ? ((Would have been 10 if D-End Logan Rudolph hadn't given up football! & DE Logan Cash left the team))

Maybe more teams like Florida State; So.Carolina; Louisville ; Marshall (too many to name) should takes some notes on diversity!

Dabo Swinney being an ex -Walk- on WR at Alabama has built a legacy of Ex Walk-on WR's... Tyler Grisham (cut by Steelers); Adam Humphries (Bucs/Titans); Hunter Renfrow (Raiders); & an excellent Walk-on program in general.

QB Trevor Lawrence( 6'-6" 220) should be #1st Pick in 2021 NFL Draft....

2 Deep includes WR Brannon Spector ; TE Davis Allen ; TE JC Chalk
...walk-on WR Will Swinney (Dabo's son) is listed 3rd team

Ultimate caste story(former 2 star Corner Back in HS) on starting Free Safety Nolan Turner (Sr.) 6'-1" 205 (Dad NFL Fullback Eagles/Patriots); Hopefully finds his way into the NFL Draft!
MLB James Skalski is an nasty old school throwback + heart n soul of the defense!...will miss the 1st half of Wake Forest game ; after being ejected for targeting in the national championship.

OFFENSE
QB Trevor Lawrence
LG Matt Bockhorst
C Cade Stewart
RG Will Putnam

DEFENSE
DT -Brian Breese * Co Starter
MLB James Skalski
WLB Baylon Spector
FS Nolan Turner

On the 2 Deep...LB Jake Venables ; Keith McGuire
......Also watch for LB Kane Patterson in the future. FS Tyler Venables

Future looking bright for the Class of 2021 ......With the Nation's Top All purpose RB Will Shipley (NC) & 4 star WR Troy Stellato (FL) + stud D-End Cade Denhoff (FL)

22, what do you think about Nolan Turner following Tanner Muse into the NFL? Does he have a shot at being drafted Day 2? I remember his father Kevin well, could have been a power back for sure.

Thanks TwentyTwo. Terrific. There is a reason why the CF thug patrol forced you at gunpoint to write up Clemson. Ha.

There is a bit of a mystery as to why Clemson has bucked the caste trends that are uniform throughout big time southern football teams. Before Dabo arrived at Clemson it was one of the most caste infected teams in the country. Now with their new "diverse" look they are the top college football program in the nation.

One possible reason could be Dabo's devout religious ways and I suspect some parents, especially mothers are more comfortable having their sons attend a more controlled environment rather than say southern "Animal House" schools like Florida and Tennessee?

Their 2021 class is an eye opener. A top tier speedster WR in Stellato, a stud DE in Denhoff and arguably the best white RB prospect since CM in Shipley. And they also bagged the number one TE in the country with Jake Briningstool. Pretty impressive when you consider the out of sight talent in the 2021 TE class.

As far as starting FS Nolan Turner I don't think it is a stretch to see him join his fellow Stud Brother Tanner Muse into the NFL. He has shown up on some draft boards as a mid late to late round draft pick. Actually his draft position before the season is better than Tanner's was prior to his senior campaign. A couple of things have to happen to ensure Nolan gets drafted. It goes without saying he must stay healthy and naturally must play well. Based on what I have seen he should play extremely well. Nolan has a great back story ( see above)which I have written about here a couple of times. One thing is certain. I will be watching him like a hawk this season.

I wonder if the safety Venables gets any playing time. Also a JR corner who maybe someday can play a bit beyond kickoffs.

Jake Venables also has a brother Tyler, on the team a freshman, who was an all-state defensive back in S.C. They are the sons of defensive coordinator Brent Venables.

There are other teams that will start more White athletes but none that are as high profile. I’ll be rooting for Clemson to win the championship again after faltering against LSU last year.

HA HA Shadowlight "Thug Patrol"....it's a privilege! That's what i'm seeing to...5th to 7th Round on Turner for now.

Yes sir Don! As a little kid enjoyed watching Dad Kevin Turner on TV @ Alabama....he was a solid College Running Back. Wish he got the ball more in the NFL (See Rob Konrad & countless others)

Day 2 meaning 2nd or 3rd Round? It's possible....but not likely. Thinking maybe a 5th Round pick for Nolan Turner the way trends for white DB's ...here is why....

* I (We) have been off with the projected Round for Nate Gerry(hybrid Safety)); thought he was a 2nd or 3rd Round talent ; but fell to the Eagles in the 5th Round ; ""STARTER NOW"""

*Thought for sure Andrew Wingard would get picked(his Wyoming team mate Marcus Epps went 6th Round / black privilage/ already CUT by Vikes/ now back up w Eagles) ) ; but Wingard went undrafted to the Jags (BUT only undrafted rookie free agent to make team!) ON 53 MAN ROSTER!

&..... Chase Hansen (hybrid Safety/ex QB) too....Easily a DAY # 2 Pick; But injuries Set him back where i was concerned for his career + Older Age for Rookie ....HANSEN Made the SAINTS 53 MAN ROSTER!!! Swiss-Army-Knife on Defense like Taysom Hill is for Offense!

For the 2021 NFL Draft would like to see at least 3 White DB's selected ((Nolan Turner ; Brady Breeze /Oregon= PAC 12 Not playing Football?? & Reid Blankenship @ Middle Tennessee))) ...that should not be too much to ask! Nothing racist about this lurkers!
........The past few Drafts have been slim pickings....Eric Weddle retired & Harrison Smith can't play forever! Arguable TWO of the BEST in a 90+% black unit.
Dan Sorenson ((undrafted)) has PROVED time & time again he is a STARTER for the Super Bowl Champs!

I like Turner a lot - he’s made some big time plays. The most memorable being the game sealing INT of Justin Fields in the playoff last year. I think with a strong season, senior bowl and combine invite 3rd-4th round may be a possibility.

As far as white DBs that should be drafted next year I’d add Ben Deluca to that list!

This synopsis from a professor at Caste Football University offers an accurate snapshot of where the DB position stands at this time. Getting three DBs drafted in 2021 would be a big win in my book. Not a slam dunk by any means but at this point the situation is at a more promising level than usual. Anything to take the edge off of the dwindling wide receiver situation we might be facing yet again in 2021? A name or two could emerge but as it stands white wide receivers are not on most draft boards at least yet.
