Welp, Meyers Leonard is being forced to waive his no-trade clause so he can be dealt WITH a second round pick to OKC for Trevor Ariza, who hasn't played since 2019. The Thunder will then waive him.

The Heat are literally paying assets to get rid of him. At least he should receive the full balance owed on his contract.

At my previous job, I was profiled for the cute little company newsletter email, where they ask a few stock questions. I was asked for a favorite quote and considered, "To learn who rules over you, find out who you can't criticize." I figured Voltaire was distinguished enough to give me plausible deniability. Fortunately, I looked up the quote first and learned it wasn't actually Voltaire who said it. Still 100% true though.

Never forget:

That is devastating news about Shawn Bradley. I hope he has alot of loving family and friends to help support him in this sad time.

The Dallas Mavs looked great tonight beating the LA Clippers very easily! Luka Magic was on fire tonight!

Luka Doncic 42 pts, 9 assists, 6 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 blocked shots! Wow what a game! :)
Kristapps Porzingis 11 pts, 13 rebounds and two blocked shots.
Maxi Kleber 12 pts and 6 rebounds.

In another game Sabonis had a triple double in a loss. He is such a great player.

The Bulls acquired Orlando's all-star center Nikola Vucevic (Montenegro) at today's trade deadline and also added Washington's backup 4/5 Moe Wagner (Germany). This will give the Bulls three white starters with Tomas Satoransky (Czech Republic) and Lauri Markkanen (Finland), as well as a new frontcourt rotation player. They also keep Ryan Arcidiacono and Luke Kornet on the roster, which must make it one of the whitest rosters in the league. (Kornet could be waived soon though).

This team has come a long way from October 2017, when black thug and scrub Bobby Porter punched Nikola Mirotic in the face during a team practice, resulting in multiple facial fractures; Porter's black teammates sided with him, so Mirotic was traded away a few months later after healing up.

Good for The Bulls. Now they need some wins to start piling up and build for next year.

The Bulls later in the day traded Moe Wagner to the Celtics but they did aquire Daniel Thies from Boston who is also white. So they still have gotten alot whiter. :)

I'm happy for Reddick and the Mavs but he is coming off a recent surgery and he is now 36 years of age. Don't know how much he has left in the tank but I like the fact that the Mavs took a chance anyway
as they need help to get to the championship and Reddick is the type of player if healthy that can really help them to get there.

In another trade I saw Kelly Olynyk went to the Houston Rockets. Not crazy about that one. Tyler Herro had 29 pts tonight off the bench. I wish they would put him back in the starting lineup.

Nikola Jokic had 37 pts last night. He is currently the favorite to win the NBA MVP. I would love to see him win even though it's still a long ways to go in the season. In addition to putting up almost a triple double every
night he is among the league leaders in steals. This is a center who can do everything. Shoots, passes like a point guard, rebounds, blocks shots and can score on anyone while playing good defense. What a season he is
having. The Nuggets were so close to making the nba finals last year. Maybe Jokic can get them over the hump this year.

NBA Player Odds to win the NBA MVP Trophy for 2021

Nikola Jokic -110
LeBron James +550
Joel Embiid +600
Giannis Antetokounmpo +650
James Harden +900
Damian Lillard +1400

Without the all-out support of ESPN and other corporate media, the NBA would have gone the way of the ABA by now.

NBA RATINGS CONTINUE PRE-PANDEMIC NOSEDIVE

by Sam Amico

NBA television ratings have been in the dumps since before the days of COVID-19, bottoming out when it set an all-time low for the Finals in 2020.

Well, things don’t appear to be any better these days, as relayed by Jon Lewis of SportsMedia Watch.

For starters, a game between the Lakers and Pelicans on TNT last week averaged a measly 920,000 viewers, down a whopping 35% from a Rockets-Bucks matchup on a comparable night in 2019. That Lakers-Pelicans game was also the least-watched Lakers game on ABC, ESPN or TNT since LeBron James signed on in 2018.

Granted, both James and star forward Anthony Davis were out with injuries, but these are still the Lakers, and those ratings are still better suited for Major League Soccer or even college lacrosse.

Plus, James and Davis played in the Finals last season, and ratings for the Finals were downright atrocious. And things have been equally as bad around the rest of the league.

“In other recent NBA action, ESPN drew a 0.7 rating (-26%) and 1.15 million viewers (-17%) for Clippers-Mavericks and a 0.6 (-41%) and 931,000 (-37%) for Bucks-Sixers last Wednesday,” Lewis wrote. “TNT the previous night had a 0.6 and 1.03 million for Jazz-Celtics and a 0.6 and 983,000 for Pelicans-Blazers. Preceding the aforementioned Lakers-Warriors game on March 15, ESPN drew a 0.7 (-35%) and 1.13 million (-36%) for Knicks-Nets. Finally, Clippers-Pelicans had a 0.6 (-34%) and 1.01 million (-24%) on ESPN March 14. All comparisons are to 2019.”

Overall, NBA playoff ratings were down 27% last season when compared to 2019, and down 40% compared to the year before that, as OutKick’s Bobby Burack wrote.

The first round of the playoffs were an extension of the declining ratings prior to the NBA hiatus in March.

According to a report from Sports Business Daily in February, national television viewership for regular season games fell 12 percent compared to 2018-19. Again, those were the league’s pre-hiatus numbers.

“The NBA has growing concern. This goes beyond TV ratings,” an industry insider told SI.com last year. “The league does remain a popular brand overseas. But it has hit hard times among sports fans here (in the United States).”

I was going to wax poetic about the NFL following the NBAs economic model - propped up by it's media broadcasting partners (NBC, CBS, FOX, ABC/BSPN, NFL network, Amazon and grabbing money by being bundled into cable packages) money/advertisements, large leftists sports companies pushing the new agenda (Nike, Under Armour) etc. moreso then the butts in the seats at NFL games. The NBA's pandering to China and wanting to grow it's fanbase in the world most populated country is what the NBA is banking on in the future.

The way things are going China can just import players to their leagues and have the best of both worlds. The time zone difference alone is not beneficial to them. Just buy up the best players and screw the NBA all together. Theres nothing the funny hats can do about it, once one domino falls watch out. Nobody cares about the NBA here anyways.

Can't wait for the NBA to offshore.. It couldn't happen to a better bunch of people and corporations. Their ridiculous SJW antics and messages of division are "coming home to roost"

It goes without saying that the Dallas Mavericks are the best team to watch in the NBA. Why do you ask? Their two all stars are Luka Doncic and Kristapps Porzingis. Both guys are averaging over 20 pts per game
with Luka at almost 30 pts a game! Want more you say? They have 4 other very talented whites on the team. They are Maxi Kleber, Nico Melli, JJ Reddick and Boban Marjanovic. So as a team the Dallas Mavs play
a total of 6 out of 12 guys for a 50/50 ratio. The highest ratio in the league and they are very fun to watch as they are a high scoring team with alot of great personalities.

Four other teams to watch are the Miami Heat, Indiana Pacers, Chicago Bulls and the Washington Wizards. These teams all have 2 or 3 white starters with others coming off the bench.

Another team worth a look is the Denver Nuggets. One reason and one reason only. Nikola Jokic who curerently is the favorite to win the NBA MVP Award given out at the end of the season!

Grayson Allen scored 30 points in 30 minutes on 12/18 shooting for the Grizzlies in a win over the Hawks. Bogdan Bogdanovic led the Hawks with 24 pts. The Grizzlies are above .500 and will make the playoffs this year. Valanciunas is having an excellent season for Memphis.

Awesome night for Grayson. Grizzlies fans can't bring themselves to dislike him. Here's a link to the highlight reel.

In a fair world Grayson Allen should have been a starter for the last 3 or 4 years. He has been screwed over so many times. Talent wise he is similar to JJ Reddick but alot more athletic. Allen could easily have possibly won an NBA Dunk Contest as he has
been known for his incredible hops since he was a kid. Not only an explosive athlete that can dunk but a good all around player who can really shoot with the best of them. All Grayson Allen has ever needed at the NBA Level is for a team to believe in him and
to start him good or bad on a nightly basis. I'm hoping that Memphis will finally be that team that stands behind this young man. What a great game he had tonight. Hopefully he will continue to play well over the final month or two of the season.

Not to nitpick, but this is only Grayson Allen’s third year in the league if I recall. Yes he has the talent to be the starter night in and night out. His athleticism is off the charts... he has grit too, a tough as nails kid. He doesn’t back down from anyone.

If Memphis sticks with him (they should), I can see some very good seasons the next few years. They are a better team with him playing substantial minutes. I’d just like to see him take a few more shots each game.

Looks like Grayson has been pumping some iron. He is a bull going to the basket. The Hawks are a fun team to watch as well with bogdonovich and Huerter.

We have alot of games to go tonight but in a couple of the early games we had another N. Jokic triple double! Jokic and Doncic make triple doubles look like a layup. Amazing talented basketball players!

For the Hawks Bogdan Bogdanovich had 32 pts, 3 rebounds and 3 assists in a big Hawks win. Huerter chipped in with 10 pts. Gallanari didn't play as he has a sore foot. Gallanari is having a great years off the bench. I wonder
if he will be considered for the NBA Hall of Fame someday. Both him and JJ Reddick have had very good careers and are still going strong! :)
