GG, Degrasse's coach is a white Yank not a Canadian. What about Carrina Horn, she just got busted for using banned substances...
Warholm ran the fastest time in the semis of the 400m hurdles, but got the worst lane draw for the final, ending up in lane 4.
His competition will be outside him, in the lanes with less tight turns.

It seems Warholm is being punished for having the second fastest time in history, he should have had lane 6 or 7 as the fastest seed time. Hmmmm guess the powers to be don't want him to repeat as champ.
No disrespect to sprintstar ...but McMillan is definitely Canadian ...although based in Altus trading center Arizona .......regardless ...he is still a prick who had no scruples training the likes of drain chambers pre 2012 ................ And re carina horn ...yeah great ....nobody touches the yanks ....ie Coleman Gatlin et al ....IAAF are still weak willed ...I think generally that fans/ critics .....now see that with the Russians out of the way ....omg ..there is still a drugs problem in athletics ..........

So true from the days of Flo Jo to Marion Jones to Maurice Greene, Gatlin, Coleman. Tim Montgomery, and countless others. The list is endless. In my opinion the americans and jamaicans are some of the worst in the sprints. Of course there have been many from everywhere like Linford Christie of Britain. Look at Harry Aiikenes A. and tell anyone he is natural or Dwain Chambers. Lol. In the distance events so many of the africans have been cheating for years and the IAAF let's them get away with it. Track has a serious cheating problem and it's not going away anytime soon.

She is listed in the start list as of a few hours ago, I expect this to change as any injury that wouldn't be potentially season ending world class runners try to run with.
I wish they had a rule where they bumped up the 9th place runner to the finals as the runner would have the same rest time, it's a shame to see a lane wasted in a world final.

In theory Tortu could be bumped up to 4th or even 3rd with the history of the competitors who placed ahead of him in the race. Athletics needs to seriously consider jail time for cheating to harness this problem. It would work on richer Western countries but 3rd and 4th world countries it probably wouldn't put much of a dent on cheating as people in these countries are willing to risk years in jail for drop in the bucket money to smuggle narcotics into Western countries.......

Well he didn't get the world record but he has defended his world championship gold medal for a 2nd time in the 400 meter hurdles.

Warholm for the gold, the time was "slow" which might be because of the air conditioned stadium as hot air is thinner, it also could be because of the long season. Warholm is one a few double world champions in this event.
In the 200 Gemili and Guliyev are in the final. Gemili has clearly beaten Guliyev twice and should have his number but a medal isn't a sure thing as Lyles looks to have the gold on lockdown and Quinonez and Degrasse are in a similar form to Gemili the fight for the bronze medal might be a dog fight like the one in Rio between Lemaitre and Gemili.

as with Steven Solomon and many others, track is just a big hobby for Nicholas Hough, the Australian hurdler. He just made the 110H semis but will go no further, being a 13.4 man at best.
But maybe one of the reasons is this....... track certainly takes a back seat to his employment status.

Huge news from women's high jump as white women earn the gold and silver. I watched it last night. Great stuff as they held off Randall Cunningham's daughter. 18 year old Mahuchikh won the silver. Seee below synopsis.

Tuka took silver in the 800, Gemili was once again a snake bitten 4th in the 200 final. You have to wonder if he could have had more in his legs if he just concentrated on the 200, as I thought Guliyev wasn't in medal form but he did finish 5th in the 200 final.
PS, Black/Mulatto Donovan Brazier won the gold running in a time trial fashion and he is coached by the suspended Salazar so his win has to be looked into a new light.
L-Caratine seemed to be the supplement that got Salazar in hot water but USADA bought his story about rubbing steroid creams into his son's thighs to see if one of his athletes could be sabotaged similar to the dog ate my homework story that Gatlin gave when he was caught with steroids in his system.

When my mates and I used to race for small wagers we ran on uneven football fields and if you took a misstep you could do what he did there. I doubt it cost him a medal but if he was in Gemeli's position where a few 1ooths was the difference between 4th and bronze it would have been a big factor.
