Since 2005, Notre Dame have started 10, 11, 11, 11, 10, 10, 11, 11, 9, 8, 6, 8, 8 and 5 white starters. They are projected to jump up to 9 white starters in 2019.

Ian Book is a fun QB to watch - dark horse Heisman and potential high round draft pick.

Players to look watch out for include QB Phil Jurkovec, OL Josh Lugg, LB Bo Bauer

I think Chris Finke isn’t my favorite college football player for 2019, he has a certain mentality and personality that will certainly allow him to stick in the NFL. Can’t wait to see how this season goes for him.

This team also has a lot of young freshman/2nd year linebackers that were highly recruited. I hope they see the field sooner rather than later.

Above Red raider I think you meant to say Chris Finke is your favorite player for 2019. I like him a lot too and the best case scenario is he has a sterling senior year and follows in the footsteps of Hunter Renfrow by getting a combine invite and eventually getting drafted. Hoping but not sure all that will happen.

Thanks Leonardfan and I agree there is a lot to like about athletic QB Book.

Notre Dame doesn't inspire me like say Iowa or Northwestern. There is till a caste grip on Brian Kelly's teams despite the occasional white stars that sometimes emerge. Lack of white defenders has been my bugaboo but hopefully that might change.

This season looks a touch more promising than last year and I am pleased and a little surprised that junior LB Drew White has earned a starting spot.

Red raider is correct in that they are loaded with promising back up linebackers.. Leonardfan mentioned Bo Bauer. Another player to look for is talented and rangy redshirt freshman Jack Lamb.

Ian Book returning for 2020. I know Cole Kmet got a 2nd round projection. They should be a fun team to track next year. I hope Jurkovec either gets a redshirt or opts to transfer so he can see the field.

Some good news! He will have a very good QB throwing him the ball in Ian Book. ND will be a sleeper team for 2020!

Former Northwestern senior WR Bennett Skowronek has signed with Notre Dame.
Skowronek (6'4/215) sat out for most of this season, making him eligible for a redshirt. Rather than return to Northwestern for his final season, Skowronek is taking his talents to Notre Dame. The Irish are losing some receiving talent, namely WR Chase Claypool, so this could be a decent opportunity for Skowronek to surprise. Skowronek caught 12 passes for 141 yards in three games in 2019.

Ended up at BC, mentioned on another thread.

Excited to see where WR Ben Skowronek fits in next year with the Irish.

Hopefully we see shades of Jeff Samardzija next year with Skowronek becoming an oft-used target for Book. This will probably be the first season I have cared for the Irish since the Quinn, Samardzija, Zbikowski era.

Notre Dame redshirt senior WR Bennett Skowronek (ankle) is at 90% health.

Skowronek (6'4/215) transferred over to Notre Dame from Northwestern during the winter. While the redshirt senior's ankle remains a little balky, looks like he's not too far off. Skowronek was sidelined by injury for most of the 2019 season. During a full-strength 2018 campaign with the Wildcats, the wideout logged a 45-562-3 receiving line. He fits comfortably as a nice cog in the Irish receivers room.
