For this Thursday night, we have what a few weeks ago looked like a blowout game. Now, my money is on the Denver Broncos with Joe Flacco at the controls versus the suddenly exposed my adopted hometown Kansas City Chiefs.

I like Flacco, he's a pocket thrower who with the right tools can do amazing things. I was extremely irritated when he was forced out of Baltimore by "Blank Canvas", who is one of the worst of the bunch of black quarterbacks being shoved down our throats.

Patrick "It's Pat!" "Side Show" "******* Man" (pick your invective) Mahomes is actually very good. But even he can't save this Chiefs team with a rotating badness on the offensive line (Cameron Erving-LT, Martinas Rankin-LG). The Chiefs just signed Stefen Wisniewski at LG, but it will be hard for him to overcome the matador at LT Erving. How this guy even has a job is beyond me. Must be the "upside".

Chiefs largely coal defense is just as bad as last year. Ben Niemann has been really good as the anonymous white tackle machine on defense, along with Daniel Sorensen who somehow is in on every play when he is allowed on the field. But when both have to deal with offensive linemen running down the field because they sumos up front suck, it makes for a long night.

Here's the game plan, if you're the Broncos. Run run run on offense. Chiefs can't stop you, so you can dominate the clock. On defense, play straight man-to-man. A normal 4 man rush will give Mahomes about 1 second in the pocket before it collapses and he has to bail. Man defense for 3 seconds should be no problem.

Game over. Easy, right? That's typical for a Fat Bastard upside-laden team. Just ask the Philadelphia Eagles faithful.

I expect Ryan Tannehill to throw to Adam Humphries a lot more than Mariota was. The puny output thus far of Humphries, Trey Quinn and Hunter Renfrow is one of the biggest disappointments of the 2019 season to date.

I'm certain that replacing Mariota with Tannehill was the plan all along when they signed him this offseason. But instead of being bold, the pandering Titans staff decided to wait until the season was in jeopardy before making the obvious decision.

I'd love to see Flacco beat Sideshow. Flacco still has it in the passing game.

All the Broncos have to do is run the ball like crazy to control the clock and keep the drunk sounding muppet with 1 ankle on the sidelines. Chiefs have literally the worst run defense in the league.

Tannehill openly defended Richie Incognito during the Jonathan Martin issue in 2013. To defend a white man in the media's cross-hairs took balls and I think shows some degree of racial consciousness. I agree that Humphries should do a lot better and hopefully Tannehill stays healthy and locks down the job.

Over 1/3 of the season is over and black quarterbacks are 7/10 of the top quarterbacks ranked by passing touchdowns. Who ever thought we’d see this day? How is it that they’ve been awful quarterbacks for so long and now they’re among the best in the league? I wonder if they’re all taking some kind of brain boosting steroids, maybe nootropics?

Probably helps having the media blow sunshine up your ass 24/7 and also helps knowing you have unlimited chances without fear of the bench and if that happens you can play the race card.

Only Maholmes, Wilson and to a lesser extent Watson and Brissett have been good all year. Winston has 10 interceptions and has never had any success winning games. Total bum. Prescott and Jackson started hot and have been worse and worse each week.

There are also top White QBs injuries like Brees and Big Ben. Other young QBs like Darnold and Rudolph have also missed games with afflictions. I have a feeling that by the end of the season, things will normalize with only Wilson, Maholmes and maybe Watson in the top tier.

That one stat really isn't good for getting the whole picture. Interceptions such as Crab Legs' 10 and Dak Upside's 6 have to be taken into account, along with passing yardage, completion %, yards per completion, etc. And then there are the little things like BBQ Brisket and Tom Brady having the same number of TDs and INTs, but Brisket being ranked ahead of Brady despite Brady having far more passing yards.

TD's are not the whole picture, especially with the DB play being the absolute worst in history with ZERO consequences from their respective coaching staffs!

Looks like the football gods required a sacrifice from KC to give them a defense tonight.

Fant blows. And scouts actually tried selling us that Fant was better than Hockenson and best tight end prospect in draft.

Yeah everyone was raving about his athleticism and he is a very athletic guy. The problem is they forgot that you have to catch the ball as a tight end. Same thing that happens with DB, they draft the super athletic guys high but they can’t tackle or cover.

Looking back at my OP for this thread, uggh. It's been awhile since I've watched Joe Flacco in action, it's apparent that he is a shadow of his former self. I listened to a bit of talk radio as I drove home from Omaha and all of the commentators opined that Flacco was a "bottom 5" starting QB. I think that I would have to agree. Even Payton Manning with his bad neck was far more mobile than ol' Joe. Matt Moore was Lamar Jackson-like compared to Flacco.

Knowing how John Elway operates, this might be a landing spot for sCam Newton when all is said and done. You heard it here first. Of course sCam is also close to a "bottom 5" QB so the Donks won't get any better.

But hey, PHillisFan can now root for the Chiefs for the next few weeks at least ;). It will be interesting with Matt Moore running the offense. I figure that the Chiefs will bring up Kyle Shurmer (this kid was GOOD in the pre-season) from the practice squad to be the number 2 with Mahomes on the shelf for the next month or two. For Moore it's already looking better, all-world LG Martinas Rankin, who the Chiefs picked up in a trade early this season from the Texans, was injured. Rankin was one of the great Texan linemen who allowed Watson to be sacked every other attempt last season. Anyway, as soon as he waddled off of the field, the recently-acquired Stefan Wisniewski came in and immediately flattened half of the Broncos D-line for a big Chiefs run. Soon, Eric Fisher will be back at LT replacing matador Cameron Erving and the Chiefs will have a nice snowplow for Moore.

Defensively, Ben Niemann had another nice game at LB and Daniel Sorensen was in the game quite a bit playing slot corner. On the Broncos side Derek Wolfe held his own and did okay, but Josey Jewell didn't have nearly as many snaps.

Last nite out at a bar for a burger and beer in KC territory I watched the pre-game and the gimps there ran the QB stats for Denver, those stats made Elway look like a football genius. Glad we left the KC fans no doubt in shock now with their real athlete sidelined and all.

Nacho Libre(Matt Moore) tends to blow hot and cold, but what career back up doesn't, I wonder if the Chiefs go take a guy off the scrap heap to be a third string film room guy? Dirty Sanchez with Nacho Libre could be a wonderful ethnic duo.....

I would agree and would include Ryan Switzer whose role has diminished this season when it looked like they were going to give him a bigger role.

The pitch and putt or dink and dunk approach for so many white slot receivers in college and the NFL has become even more exaggerated over time. Wes Welker, who many cite as the "original" white slot receiver for sure had quite a few "shorter" routes but nothing compared to the miniscule way they are being utilized these days. Hell the passes to Switzer must rank among the shortest in the history of the NFL.

And all of the above showed in college the ability to pick up huge chunks of real estate and in some cases like Switzer take it to the house and not just occasionally either.

It really starts to feel like yet another belittling device put upon the few white skill players out there and I for one am sick of seeing it.

Most white receivers are not allowed it seems to move into the black domain of long hero passes. White receivers are too often reduced to
playing the role of newspaper delivery boys.

Again it is designed to make the white athlete seem a little less like men as they perform the little tasks and leave the big stuff to the black athletes.

Looks like Nacho Libre (Matt Moore) will get 3 or 4 starts before Mahomes comes back. MRI results are positive with no significant additional damage beyond the dislocation. The REALLY good news is that many Chiefs fans will be (and are) trying to unload their tickets without their hero playing. I figure I can nab some tickets to the Vikings game from some sad sack for a song!

Speaking of the Chiefs. In their game last week Mahomes chucked up an air ball that was up for grabs that tiny Tyreek Hill somehow managed to snare in between two Houston defensive backs who looked like they were zombies. That ball should have easily been swatted away or intercepted but instead ended up being a touchdown.

As mentioned here earlier S Chris Johnson was cut from the Houston practice squad. I guess these black DB studs who just stood there watching Hill catch the ball are superior in every way to Johnson.

Green Bay worked out Johnson but I so far no word on his status.

I often wonder does the NFL keep players like Johnson out of the NFL so players like that turd ball Hill can make highlight plays? Sounds like a conspiracy but how else does one explain the wretched DB play every week?

Andre Reed who really is the first slot star receiver didn't run 4 and 5 yard curl patterns he went deep routinely, just because you are in the slot it doesn't mean you can only do the chain moving patterns.

PS, if Reed was only a chain moving receiver I don't think he would be in Canton as his lifetime stats would probably have made him a perpetual bubble boy at best.
