The Niners were fortunate to win that game. Great defensive stand at the goal line but it should have not came down to that. They should have stopped them of 4th and long but let them pick up the first down and almost steal the game. Happy the 49ers won but they need to make some adjustments. Good thing they have a bye week. Kittle was a monster today!

Correct call but the play before the refs jilted honky Hollister when he clearly got mugged.

That said this performance by the 49ers does not exactly inspire overwhelming confidence.

At the end of the day does anyone here think there is a no brainer great team that is a clear favorite to win the Super Bowl? I can't find one? Anyone willing to stick their necks out and name a team or two?

Someone will of course win it all but with the Patriots on a bit of a downslope there are no top tier teams anymore in my mind. Every team has flaws especially on the defensive side which are heavily black with one or two whites sprinkled in but some teams in the playoffs field all black defenses.

SL, let me go on record that the Patriots will be in the SB. Not going to say they win but will be there!!!

This was a banged up plantation team and they still came within an inch of winning the game. They can easily beat PHI next week who’s almost comically down with injuries. Then another rematch with SF.

SF has lost 3 games literally at the last second, and it almost happened again. They need to do a better job of putting teams away instead of letting them hang around with the last possession.

I’m still wary of this odious Seattle team. Winning 3 games on the road will be difficult, hopefully the Eagles can finish the job next Sunday.

helluva game, I'll be rooting for the incomparable Drew Brees to win a second Super Bowl. The Saints are the strongest team going into the playoffs, not that it means all that much, but Brees at age 40, almost 41, is still playing great.

As a Steeler fan, I’m rooting for them to lighten up a bit more next year, if it’s possible under that regime...A d lineman, Muse in the third round, a WR, etc.....Not holding my breath on a RB

Good points but on the flip side they are seconds away from being 16-0! They were in every game down this season down to the last seconds. That is a talented & well coached team.

Buffalo over Houston
Titans over the Patriots (yes, I believe the dynasty run is over)
NFC
Saints over Minn.
Philly over the Seahags (hopefully!)

I think Buffalo should win...depends on officiating
Patriots over Titans
Saints should win, if Theilan plays he can make a difference and Vikings could pull it off
Seattle over Eagles..officiating will make sure of it.

I think the 6 pointed owners want a final with teams with negro QB's

I honestly hope the Titans beat the Pats. If they scrape past the Titans they'll just get blown out by a quota back team. I'd much rather Ryan Tannehill end the Pats dynasty than Lamar or Mahomes. No point delaying the inevitable.

We know the saying the captain goes down with the ship. Hell I am not bailing. I want to see the Pats go down to KC and kick their asses in front of their fruity home fans who figured they were in like flint after securing home field. What a sight. Burkhead, Edelman and Brady destroying the Chiefs season yet again. And I know you would want to witness that as well if that is how it turned out.

I am not fully convinced the Pats are dead ducks at this point. Not a vintage Pats team for sure but unlikely to get blown out by anyone as far as I can tell.

By the way their Saturday night game will be rain drenched. Not sure if that helps or hurts the Pats?

I hope you're right Shadowlight. There have been reports that Edelman probably needs shoulder surgery in the offseason. Sanu also came out and admitted he still hasn't learned the offense. This makes the decision to offload Amendola and Hogan within 12 months of each other even more bizarre. One can only wonder how different this season might have turned out if they had acquired Humphries in the offseason like they intended to.

Former first round bust Dorsett never learned the offense either before being phased out of it altogether in recent weeks. I'm sure Humphries wishes he could go back in time and sign with New England, but he could still excel in Tennessee next season now that Ryan Tannehill has taken charge.

Josh McDaniels may finally decide to become a head coach again, and Brady may get pushed out the door; this could well be the last hurrah of the Patriots dynasty.

I do feel it's probably the last hurrah for the Pats - this is probably their last run when looking at it as a realist - will I be elated if they win one more time though? - absolutely. If not I would agree with Hartline that I would rather see Tannehill knock them out rather than have the media play up the subliminal white QB vs. Black QB angle with the Chiefs or Ravens. It is interesting though since the Pats lost to the Titans last year and both the Chiefs and Ravens this season. Bellichek is a mastermind of game planning and will learn from mistakes. The Pats defense is good and their running game can be effective - Michel, Burkhead and White can all work effectively as a platoon. I think Brady's issues are more due to the holes at the skill positions rather than declining due to age (although that is part of it).

Humphries has been injured in recent weeks - it would of been nice if Tannehill had been the starter since game 1 as Adam would of had a much better season. The Tannehill revival with the Titans is the most ignored storyline of the MSM who have tried to bury him since he was drafted. I hope the Titans sign him long term. I do find it somewhat hilarious that the two top QBs - Picks 1 and 2 in Winston and Mariota were both outperformed by white QBs - Fitzpatrick last year for the Bucs and Tannehill this season. I still see Wentz and Goff get more negative press than Winston and Mariota.

It seems the driving force for our guys to sign with not friendly white teams is the money. I surely can not blame them. They need to put food on the table and put aside $ for their future, but sometimes it works out how Edelman did it, i.e. professionally, 3 SB rings!
