Nall showed the league he belonged last year, but no one cared.......
Hard to believe.

Jake Kumerow already has 3 receptions for 52 yards for Greenbay tonight. I expect him to have a very good season!

The Raiders are putting on a clinic against the Cardinals.

Hunter Renfrow has 2 catches for 26 yards so far. This kid is just special. You saw it in high school & college. Now time for him to shine on the biggest stage!

QB Alex McGough playing pretty well for the Jags. I did not understand why Wigger Pete cut him last year as he played well in the preseason.

Been watching the Cards/Raiders game for a little while. Nice to see Isabella on the field and getting good props by the announcers. Also got to see Kyler Murray play a bit, what a talent! 3 for 8, 12 yards and 4 yards on the ground! He's definitely the real deal, Tom Brady can go ahead and retire, there's a new sheriff in town!! o_O

Bengals wideout Alex Erickson with a 75 yard punt return for a touchdown. He’s also got 3 catches but only for 15 yards.

Isabella is a happy fella. Take it to the house young man. Man can this kid fly! For once a great draft pick the the AZ Cardinals!

OMG, Murray was scattershot to say the least and his college cadence was getting flagged way too often. He looked the way scouts used to rate short quaterbacks at the NFL level.

This could be a painful season for the perpetual cellar dwelling Cardinals.

They very well could end up with the worst record in the NFL especially given the division the play in. If that is the case, you would think they would have to consider drafting Justin Herbert. Things can get real ugly in Arizona if Murray plays to our expectations.

There is a rumor DE Zach Allen will start for the Cardinals week one but I don't recall seeing him on the field last night? #97. Did I miss him?

The Kyler Murray experiment took a step back last night see above posts. Again hard to make big judgements on limited preseason games but it makes you wonder if this young unproven coach and his suspect small QB will be able to withstand the NFL. Murray looked awful last night. In particular his roll out pass which is supposed to be his forte was rushed and awkward. Looked like a high school QB out there.

I did see Isabella's nifty TD. Not certain he will start. Probably will come in on some packages. I think they want him returning punts and maybe kick offs too. Both Murray and Isabella are quite small but Andy has some core strength and powerful legs.

By the way announcers Tessitore and Booger played up Andy's blazing speed and even showed his 4.31 40 combine sprint. That said they still feel like a budget broadcast team with too may edges that need to be smoothed over. Tolerable by a fraction because they aren't over the top caste. They still have a ways to go though. ESPN wanted to save money by going cheap and it shows.

A little restless last night so happened to watch a chunk of the Bengals-Redskins tilt early this morning. I did not see LB Cole Holcomb and I missed Alex Erickson's 75 yard punt return. Erickson might see more action on offense this season but he is one of the premiere return men in the NFL so his job is safe for this season. Now why wasn't he drafted?

I closely watched S Troy Apke who played quite a bit in the first half. Despite the typical slings and arrows thrown at white DBs ( the Redskins beat writers hate Troy) I thought he was solid. Made some strong tackles. Just oozes quick twitch athleticism. If I had to guess he will make the roster. He looks like an important cog on special teams and we hope down the road nails a spot on the defense. Since he was a WR in high school I think it would be a good idea to try him out as a returner. Years ago a team would probably try it but these days white players roles are much more limited.

Trace McSorley threw a TD pass for the Ravens last night and scampered 17 yards on one official carry. What is the media issue? Just plug him in as a Taysom Hill type. Also the media gets excited with anything Lamar Jackson does like completing a pass or two. Oh wow man those dink and dunks are big time. Give me a break.

This is good news for rookie Blake Cashman:

Avery Williamson's MRI confirmed a torn ACL in his right knee.
The injury occurred when Williamson collided with teammate Tevaughn Campbell during Thursday's preseason game in Atlanta. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirms that Williamson will miss all of 2019. It's a big loss for the Jets as Williamson, the team's defensive play-caller, was credited with a team-high 121 tackles last season while earning PFF's No. 8 run-stopping grade among inside linebackers.

Looks like Daniel Jones had another strong outing - pulling hard for the kid and glad to see he has thus far shown to be better than both 1st round black quarterbacks. I also believe his situation behind Eli Manning is ideal.

Josh Allen was 9/11 and Beasley had 5 catches. Not sure if Beasley played exclusively with Allen or also with Barkley (who also had a strong outing...great signing by the Bills for depth). Allen should benefit as long Beasley stays healthy during the season.

Ryan Nall was the Bears leading rusher. He also had 4 catches.

Its important to note that Taquon Mizzell, who made the 53 over Nall last season, had 2 really bad fumbles for loses.

He does look good - I am watching the game. Pissed me off to see piss poor Kenneth Farrow on the roster getting carries - I guess he still has untapped upside. Laird should make the team over Gaskin and Farrow. Will Laird end up this year's version of Ryan Nall? Maybe Flores was around Bellichek and the Patriots to remember Burkhead, Hogan, Woodhead, Edelman, Welker and will give Laird a fair shake.

Bucs TE Tanner Hudson having a great game too.

Nall had no holes to run through, they just kept running him up the gut into the pile. It's to his credit that he even averaged around three yards per run, but that's not going to help him on a team with a head coach who doesn't want him.

Yes indeed Don! The Vich's legacy continues in New England! No coincidence

Enjoying the Bucs / Dolphins game....Laird TD catch; WR Reese Horn congratulates him . Trent Irwin 2 pt Conv.! Justin Watson & TE Tanner Hudson(Southern Arkansas) with another nice catch!

Anybody with 1/2 a brain can see Laird is a legit NFL Player...what a story to follow after being a Walk-on at Cal!!

Ryan Nall looked good too! Surely should be on a 53 - man Roster for some team if the stinking Bears refuse again! He's a natural catching the ball out of the backfield.
