My favorite pick's of the day were seeing Lock to the Broncos and Grier to the Panthers. If Flacco put up with eraserhead last year I think he will really help out Lock while remaining the starting QB. Lock isn't going to be rushed into the starting position and can learn and develop.

Grier is a more prolific passer than Newton - really love seeing him end up in Carolina. Scam's playing style has taken it's toll and Grier could be the successor sooner rather than later but won't be rushed into the starting position. I do feel Scam will be a hindrance more than a help to Grier.

I don’t think anyone expected Drew Sample to be picked as early as he did. The only issue I have with white guys getting picked too early is that if they aren’t amazing from the start then the fans hate them. Excited that Sample went this early but not sure if that’s who they should’ve went with with Sternberger still on the board, plus sample was expected to be picked in rounds 5-7.

Zach Zenner re-signing with the Lions really ticks me off. He had an ideal situation offered to him if he had signed with the Vikings. As smart a person as he is, like so many Whites he's brain dead when it comes to race and misplaced loyalties.

Just look at the easy path the Vikings' lumbering third round pick has for significant playing time as a rookie, when it should be Zenner:

But they won't, that's why Zenner's very poor decision cost him the only chance he'll likely ever have at significant playing time. And if they wanted Nall, they could have signed him at any time from the Bears' practice squad.

Life is all about decisions. Good ones and bad ones. We may not know at the time but these decisions can change our lives for the better or the worse. With out a doubt Zach Zenner and his loyalty made the wrong decision. Even a guy like Jordy Nelson who gave everything to the Packers was sent walking after all those great years. He was just another player to the Packers and he got a very sad and undeserved
sendoff which led to the end of his career. Zach Zenner would have been a great fit in Minnesota. Oh well. Maybe somehow by chance it will work out for him. We can only hope so.

Newton will lose his starting job kicking and screaming and will leave Carolina in a similar fashion that McNabb did in Philly. He is too much of a diva to seriously tutor Grier, it's a coin flip if we ever seen anything close to what Newton was in 15'.

Once upon a time after a horrible string of bad second round picks strong winds picked up. A tornado was coming. I couldn't find shelter and with by dog Dum Dum headed to the caste football house. The tornado lifted the house up into the air and we went spinning. All disoriented we finally crashed down.

I opened the door and everything was in vivid color. I said to Dum Dum "I don't think we are in Kansas anymore."

Then he walked up to greet me. Cripes I thought. It is the circus act munchkin Murray. Then he introduced me to his "taller" munchkin friend Andy.

They were waiving at a giant across the way. I asked "who is that?" They said that is their big buddy Zach Allen.

Oh really! I thought to myself I am going to like this place after all.

As long as Andy gets to flourish I am now on board. At least the circus act can throw a better deep ball than Lamar flutter ball Jackson.

Ironies here. Yes this is the team that speedster Ryan Swope stalled in. Perhaps God is making amends. God is also fond of playing jokes on us here at CF. Because it is kind of funny in a painful way. The last team on earth we thought Andy would end up at.

But if things do work out yes the circus act will be front page but Andy will get some notice just being part of the scene. Blacks will have to root for Andy and Zach Allen because you know they worship the circus act.

And as barren as Arizona seems as a football town all of this will pick up interest and one other plus. They play on good old grass.

Enjoyed the posts above as usual. Thumbs up to our Patriots beat writer Thrashen who kept the faith and it paid off. Winovich is a wonderful pick by the Pats. Don also writes extensively about the Patriots so this is a good cheer moment.

I agree with above posts Grier to the Panthers was ideal for him given Newton's aging and health concerns.

I too was surprised the Bengals opted for TE Sample. He is a very solid pick but I had four white TEs rated above him.

So pleased the Packers picked the explosive deep threat TE Sternberger. They finally did something right. And the Bills are filling holes and they have a lot of them. But they nailed it with TE Dawson Knox. A big super fast hyper athletic player. So far the Bills are addressing positions that need help and they are trying to make things better for Josh Allen.

Today there are at least two other explosive white TEs still on the board, Moreau and Raymond.

When I watched Utah play I always wondered why fast and rangy LB Cody Barton wasn't being talked up for the NFL. Curious to see if Seattle will put him out there or hide him on special teams. Still don't trust this team but a nice pick.

There were some really bad black players chosen last night. Some from unknown places. And the usual parade of mediocre black DBs.

And teams have to be plain stupid to ignore Maxx Crosby. His potential is off the charts.

So far Don's funny description of the Raider honchos "The Cuck Brothers" has been true.

Today will really show us what is what. This is more of the "honky" (we hope) portion of the draft. Lots of defensive studs left on the table.

On pins and needles regarding the WR situation? Can we get to four or even five or will it turn into a disaster?

And for my fab four (Holcomb, Johnson, Miller and Walker) I'm hoping for a miracle or two.
