Well Green Bay didn't make it to the Super Bowl but they did manage to knock Seattle out of the playoffs.

Even the announcers had to admit that Sorensen has been really good this post season, I don't know what that means for him going forward because they obviously prefer Thornhill to pair with Matheu. At least hes getting the opportunity to demonstrate that he is a legit NFL safetyDaniel Sorensen and his Heat seeking Missile heroics continued in full view yesterday. Apart from the big clean as a whistle shoulder smack against Tannehill that had a lot of people buzzing after the game Sorensen keeps making big play statements. He veered out of his lane to almost intercept a pass. He knifed through heavy traffic and collapsed a Titans play that looked like it had big promise.
Yet another play gives you an idea of why he has been such a difference maker and the type of player the all black Titans defense was sorely lacking. Henry had busted through for a first down and had some open field. In this scenario below I give you a multiple choice quiz.
Against the all black Ravens D and all black back seven of the Patriots there are two things that happened.
A-Henry drags the defender for another 10 yards or more.
B-A missed tackle and Henry is off to the races.
There is no C answer with those teams. But there is with Sorensen. What did Sorensen do when Henry was heading at him one on one with a full head of steam? He dropped him like a sack of potatoes. Showing perfect tackling form he hit the long legged Henry right in the waist and stopped his ass cold. Sending a message that this isn't going to be a field day like the previous two games.
Sorensen isn't from the touch and tickle school of defense that so many blacks graduate from these days.True old school proper tackling techniques is not the norm these days so it is nice to see the art hasn't completely died off.
I agree with the posts above that this is a solid SB matchup for us here at CF. There are enough carrots to draw me in and I like the fact both teams have some outstanding players to root for whole hog. Then you have the Special K talent at TE with Kelce, one of the greatest TEs in the history of the NFL and George "the animal" Kittle who plays as if his hair is on fire. Which isn't to say the game doesn't have a few issues particularly the way the media wants to whittle every thing down to the greatness of Mahomes and the black speed of the KC wide receivers especially the ultra annoying Tyreek Hill.
But as stated above this could have been a worse matchup. Seattle anyone?
White DB's are the rarest of the rare. If he's not Harrison Smith or Eric Weddle, nobody is going to snap him up. Maybe if he's Super Bowl MVP, then okay, but other than that I'm not that hopeful.I do think there are at least a few teams that will give Sorensen a fairer shake (AKA the unquestioned starter spot that he's earned with his gameplay) than KC.

Jim Leonhard was able to make a nice career for himself, especially considering he was 5'8 and not exactly a speedster. He, like Smith, had a reputation of being one of the most cerebral safeties in the league. I wonder what the window of opportunity is going forward for white DBs with an insane football IQ.....probably the same fate they receive now, Apke was only drafted cause he was the fastest safety in the draft by a coach in Jay Gruden who seemed fairer to white caste players.
