2019 Iowa Hawkeyes

Since 2005, Iowa has started 11, 13, 15, 15, 13, 12, 11, 12, 16, 13, 14, 14, 16 and 15 whites. As of now they are projected to start 9 but their is a lot of depth on the two deep so I am sure they will get back into double digits during the season or once the depth chart is released for the first game.

Offensively they are an intriguing team - they have Illinois Gatorade player of the Year RB Samson Evans coming off his redshirt freshman season, Michigan transfer WR Oliver Martin/Buffalo transfer Charlie Jones who both have to sit out due to transfer rules, Jack Combs - a WR walk on transfer from Central Michigan along with a few other white WRs. Henry Marchese is a two sport star - baseball/football and moved from WR to DB in the offseason.

QB Nate Stanley has some qualities reminiscent of Ben Roethlisberger - big strong armed passers and with a big year he can help his draft stock. Unfortunately Iowa has two Sumos at the tackle positions and both seem to be getting early buzz as first round draft picks which will make watching Iowa slightly annoying as the commentators go out of their were to heap praise on them along with the Mexi/Poly Epenesa on defense.

Players to look out for listed on the two deep depth chart include QB Peyton Mansell, TE Shaun Beyer,DT Austin Schulte, DE John Waggoner, LB Dillon Doyle, LB Nick Niemann (starter in 2018), S Jack Koerner, S John Milani, CB Riley Moss **white CB alert**, DB Thomas Hartlieb is a freshman to look out for down the road.

I am curious to see if Samson Evans gets any playing time this year. The Iowa rbs are pretty nondescript. Weismann is the only white runner that got a large number of carries and he was a fullback.

I do like Stanley -just hope he has a good senior season. He should be a senior bowl invite.

If Evans gets a good number of reps, it will make up for the single digit starter count.

I’m still just upset that even “our teams” are declining. The Caste System just continues to chip away. It’s not like any of the perennially black SEC teams ever trend up by 5 or 6, to be the counterbalance of what is happening to Iowa now.

This year's write ups have been pretty eye opening and no matter the inroads being made at the NFL level with talented white players most college coaches want nothing to do with recruiting or giving white athletes a chance. I have looked over the rosters of many of the teams yet to be written up and have come up with some observations:

- MAC teams - many of them seem to be ignoring the white athletes that the big ten overlooked now too.
- Coaches that move up from FCS and majority white teams sell out - Craig Bohl comes to mind.
- Out west - MWC/PAC 12 it is polys, mystery meats and latinos who are taking up roster spots. Blacks are also being over recruited and white athletes are neglected.
- Conf USA, the American Conference, Sunbelt are all trying to emulate their southern big brother the SEC. The ACC is the same way.

As an aside - I was going to write up Utah St last night - I would say 95% of their black players are from out of state. Gary Andersen moved a white DB with a chance of playing to RB and more than likely buried on the depth chart not to get a carry and be a WSTD. Andersen as you recall was the one Wisconsin hired to replace Bilema and wanted to get players with "more juice" (blacks). His plan failed and he was run out of Madison, went to Oregon St and got his "juice" just to quit on them mid season. He was rewarded by having the school he left initially - Utah St rehiring him. Caste clown coaches get hired/rehired and so many of the younger coaches are caste disciples so it is just a vicious cycle.

Thanks for the reply. Can’t really add much to what you said. You have your finger on the pulse as much as anyone on this subject.

Sadly, Gary Anderson is not just some outlier. Anti-White coaches like him are the norm and part of the larger system we are all fighting against.

We may have reached the point where the NFL will be a little less black than college ball, which I never thought would happen. Watching the Pats-Titans last night there was a good sprinkling of White players on both teams. The Titans looked noticeably less black than I expected, playing a White receiver (Cody Hollister), several White TEs, and as usual a good number of White o-linemen. Brent Urban should be starting on the d-line, which is a rarity for that organization. The Patriots were giving heavy snaps to several White players on defense, and Chase Winovich in particular looked really good.

It's just preseason games so can't take much from them, but it could be that the phenomenon we've noticed of the few White defensive players in the league excelling when given a chance is spreading to other positions as well. The few Whites that do get a chance in major college programs now have to be twice as good to get noticed and move on to the NFL.

Iowa is loaded with underclassman and 2020 recruits. 2 Affletes starting on the O-line doesnt bother me at all. All their talented TE’s are basically tall WR’s, so look for their odd man out to go back to WR as well.

4WR’s for next year as well as a 2021 4 star most likely on the way. Super talented Epenesa’s family might not have come over on the Mayflower but he is clearly not a criminal afflete.

Also they use 2 TE’s on offense and all but one are white. Dolphin 15 somehow picked lowly recruited WR convert Sam Laporta out of the crowd last year in his write up. This will serve as my Babe Ruth calling his shot moment in claiming this kid goes onto the next level as a pass catching TE down the road.

There was a time last season where Iowa was starting more white defenders than the entire SEC! So at first glance seeing only two white starters on the above list is disconcerting. As mentioned above they are still loaded with white talent lurking right below the starting line up.

This is one team where I see the glass half full rather than half empty. They lost a couple of tight games last year on some foolish mistakes but finished the year up beating what many thought was the most athletic team in the country in MISS STATE. And in that game Iowa was right with them athletically speaking.

The white depth is promising and players like RB Samson Evans have real talent. And of course come next year their WR situation looks stacked with white transfer talent. I have been hearing good things about WR Nico Ragaini as a quick tough to cover slot.

And of course there is this!

Moss has the talent. Time will tell with him. Needs to see the field though.

Iowa was my favorite team last season and I suspect when it is all said and done this go around they probably will end up as my favorite again this year.

Their home games are spirited affairs as the children's hospital overlooks the stadium. And those blond cheerleaders. They receive an extra point for that alone. Ha.

Never thought I'd see the year when Iowa of all teams dropped to single digit white starters.

I think this is easily the darkest year ever for college football in general.

Word on the street is that Nick Niemann will be a starter and there’s a good chance Jack Koerner will start at strong safety. Not bad for a 3rd year walk-on! Even if Koerner doesn’t start, Merriweather will likely have a short leash since he’s a true sophomore who hasn’t been playing football for very long (originally a basketball recruit).

One other surprising but late breaking news. WR transfer Oliver Martin's eligibility fate has yet to be decided. Should find out within the week but imagine if he gets clearance? That vaults Iowa up a whole notch. Not saying it will happen but it is still up in the air so there is still a chance!

Also expect to see Riley Moss at CB throughout the season. May not start right off but he could end up starting during the season.

Iowa officially released their depth chart. Looks like it’s senior Wes Dvorak with the #2 FS spot!

Oliver Martin was ruled eligible today by the NCAA. He has three years left and is a former 4 star WR. Between him, the Guido slot receiver and a crapload of TE’s that are used heavily things are looking good.

Samson Evans is buried in the depth chart and might be better served to transfer out to a lesser program.

Should be good news for Iowa in 2020 along with the white WRs. Heflin can help shore up the interior D-line and hopefully parlay a strong season into a high draft position. He's a big dude at 6'4" 319 lbs. I have noticed that most of our OL/DL guys hover around the 300lb mark whereas the black/poly sumos have no issue getting up to 350+ lbs and due to their size only they are viewed as better - another little layer of the caste system not often talked about.

Former Northern Illinois redshirt senior DT Jack Heflin transferred to Iowa as a graduate.
Heflin (6'4/319) entered the transfer portal on May 13, and it didn't take him long to find a new home. He was one of the best defensive tackles in the MAC last year; posting three sacks, 8.5 tackles for loss and forcing a a pair of fumbles for the Huskies. Heflin was also an analytical darling, posting a PFF grade of 90.1 that was sixth-best among all interior defensive lineman in 2019. He should immediately enter the depth chart for Iowa to begin 2020, and since he leaves NIU with his degree, he's eligible to play right away with one season of eligibility remaining. A very nice get for a team that has been hit hard lately by the transfer portal.
