Sorry your but-hurt over me stating the obvious about the wigger McClung, I took a lot of the same flack over the girlish figured arab looking wigger Manziel.
Shadowlight brings up a good point about white high flyer types being shunned in the NBA, but in reality there is so much more to being a good basketball player then leaping. Dirk, Porzingis and Walton could all fly for big men before injuries, but most of the great athletes relied on quickness, hand eye cordination and anticipation like Nash, Bird, Stockton, West , Havlo etc.
Either way white men dominated and were viewed as winners, which is exactly what Luka Doncic is doing at age 20. At this rate (((Silver))) and the gang either have to take him out or ignore the NBA like in the Klitschko years.
Winning instead of being trick wigger losers like Jason Williams and so many fringe other loser McClung types is whats important. The NBA Marxists will welcome McClung with open arms. I’ll give up this site and the NBA all together if he ever becomes more then a circus act. The tattoos and ebonics are coming in the near future. The kid picked Georgetown for a reason.
Hello wokewhite232 and welcome to CF. I could be wrong, but I don't think McClung had a lot of D-1 offers coming out of HS. Believe it or not he wasn't heavily recruited by the big boys at Duke, UNC, Kentucky, Kansas, etc. I think it came down to two, Rutgers and Georgetown. They may have been the two biggest names in D-1 that were recruiting him. Maybe his thought was; get as much exposure as possible by playing D-1 instead of settling for Wofford, UNC Greensboro, etc.100% right Mac is a wigger, why would you play for a nigg-r like ewing and be around all that TNB down at Georgetown, what does DWJ mean?

he could have went to one of those aforementioned schools (Wofford, UNC Greensboro, Liberty, etc...) Would actually benefit him as he would be the focal point of the offense with a better coach. Ja Morant did just fine going to Murray State and could have been buried at a bigger school. Mac playing for Ewing was a huge mistake, hopefully he wakes up and does what is best for him and his career.
I would say leading the team in scoring is the focal point of the offense. I guess I was thinking more of him NOT being a wigger just because he went to Georgetown. Again, I think he only had two D-1 offers. Playing D-1 would better prepare him for what's going to be a lot scrutiny coming his way, and we all know why. Better for him to have led a D-1 team in scoring and possibly the Big East before he graduates than to have led a D-1 AA league.
A quick google search shows he had 30 D1 offers as a 3 star prospect. An argument could be made that Georgetown was the best basketball school.
I have no idea why this wigger is loved here so much but at least it seems to be genuine. Theres got to be 20 white american college basketball players with a better shot to make an nba impact, but to each their own.
When I first heard ESPN was going to air a ten part documentary on Michael Jordan I figured it would be a full biographical thing. Called "The Last Stand" it will actually focus on the 1997-1998 season with the Bulls which was Jordan's last with the Bulls. It capped off a second three year championship run after his foolish foray into baseball.
A couple of things. First Jordan as most know took off nearly two full seasons to play baseball. With an ego the size of a skyscraper Jordan thought he could become a MLB player. Instead he pretty much made a fool of himself. Barely batting .200 at the Double A level Jordan played outfield and lacked the skill and the instincts to succeed. He stole 30 bases but was caught 16 times. After losing patience with the 1995 baseball player strike Jordan rejoined the Bulls late in the 1994-1995 season. That season the Bulls lost in the playoffs but Jordan regained his magic and went on to lead the Bulls to three straight championships.
Notably F Toni Kukoc was coming of age during Jordan's absence. What will keep me interested in this series is the presence of Toni Kukoc who was just entering his prime at 29 during the 1997-1998 season. Kukoc was a key ingredient to the team. A stylish elegant player who could pass with the best of them Kukoc had an excellent season that final Jordan year averaging 13.3 points a game and 4.4 assists .He averaged 30 minutes a game and I think he was their sixth man. He won sixth man of the year for the 1995-1996 season. He was a consistent three point shooter and continued his fine play throughout the playoffs. One of my favorite all time players I look forward to watching footage etc. of Toni. He was so smooth. And a very fluid underrated athlete. He was 6'11" but had small man skills. A true team player. Unselfish to a fault at times.
Other white players of import on that team were C Luc Longley, who was solid if unspectacular and back up guard designated shooter Steve Kerr. But it was Kukoc that made this Bulls team more appealing than the earlier versions of the Bulls. His nickname coming up the ranks in Croatia was the "Waiter" because of the beauty of his passing skills.
Jordan and Pippen singled out Toni who was starring and making headlines for Croatia during the 1992 Olympics. They were jealous that the owner was plying Toni at that time with big money so they set out to embarrass Kukoc when the USA played Croatia. They succeeded but as it turned out Kukoc helped Jordan win three titles so a happy ending. In fact when Jordan did retire Toni took on an even bigger role with the team and was considered a big star for a few years. Toni bounced around later in his career but he was a natural and a pleasure to watch.
Worth pointing out the 1998 finals was the second year in a row that the Bulls played the Jazz who featured John Stockton and Karl Malone. The Jazz won the first two games at home but lost the next four. It looked for a moment that the brilliant Stockton would stop this Bulls train. It was another exciting series though.
The doc premieres April 19th.
Rumblings are getting stronger the NBA will likely cancel it's season, due to the pre-planned, man made Wuhan/Gates Virus. Big issue seems to be the players are in absolutely no hurry to comeback. Also looks like Comrade Silver doesn't want to disappoint his Commie friends, including the Democraps, and his fellow lonsmen running CNN and MSNBC, by re-starting the season.
Can't say the NBA cancelling their season bothers me at all. Actually I hope they go away forever! Pretty good news, however, is the other sports are signaling they fully intend to comeback as soon as possible.
Shadowlight, I like to get your opinion on Dan Issel. I know he played 5 years in the ABA but the stats are great. Got to see him play in person at the old Charlotte Coliseum against the Carolina Cougars in the mid- 70s. He was unstoppable from the inside and could step back and the jumper. He was not a great passer but was a tough as nails rebounder. We loved the old ABA games seats was 15$ and the cheerleaders threw out miniature basketballs to the few fans that were there. It was a face pace game back then way more enjoyable than the NBA. I got off the subject thinking about the past, but he easily a top 5 player. A lot of good white talent was in the ABA.Like a vampire without blood nourishment I am slowly but surely fading with boredom syndrome without live sports. It is like I am half dead just like a vampire. Cripes.
But once in a while it is worth turning into a repeat and today at 3:30 on ABC is a good one. The sixth and final game of the 2011 Championship where Dallas finished off Miami, who featured Wade and LeBron James. Deemed a big upset at the time Dirk won the MVP of the finals and it was the greatest moment in his stellar career.
Dirk was very cold in the first half but rallied to score 18 in the second half.
When it comes to the greatest white players of all time the first two spots are still set in stone for me with Jerry West at number two and obviously Larry Bird at number one. But after those two Dirk deserves serious consideration for third. I haven't formulated an opinion on that but he had a long and great career and mostly played on winning and contending teams. Strange he never won a title when he teamed with Steve Nash but winning this 2011 title went a long way in sealing his legacy!
A very low key well liked player who had some class. When he visited Australia he took in a Beethoven concert in Sydney. I suspect most NBA players would prefer a rap concert.
