Congrats to the Miami Heat. Goran Dragic, Duncan Robinson and Tyler Herro have all been stars. Olynyk has at times when he has got the solid minutes. This is a fun team to watch and to root for! :)

This certainly explains the rusty look I detected on Gordon Hayward. This info was withheld during the series but it came out today that Gordon was not ready to play. He needed another two plus weeks. He had suffered nerve damage on his injured ankle and was literally playing on one leg. He could not jump. It really is a shame that Hayward has had to deal with injuries that have hampered him.

He signed with the Celtics in his prime but first play in shatters an ankle and misses the entire year. The injury was so bad it took more than half of the next season to get going. This season he was playing arguably the best in his career and was especially good in the bubble but he injured his other ankle just as the playoffs got started. Just a shame he can't display his skills when the lights shine the brightest.

The Lakers are heavily favored against the Heat. Can the well coached disciplined Heat give them a series? I think so. And Tyler Herro has a precocious game and easy swagger that recalls Steph Curry. Look for defensive specialist Alex Caruso to match up against Dragic and Herro. Caruso is an athletic pest on defense and is a good passer. His shooting is erratic though.

In terms of guts Miami proved in the Celtics series they have what it takes. Not going to be a walk in the park but I think they have enough ingredients to pull the upset. They have a good center. Tough and wise blue collar vets in Butler and Dragic. A dead eye shooter in Robinson. And the emerging Herro who plays with easy confidence. And they have the better coach.

I said it multiple times early in the season. Tyler Herro will be an all star. The only thing he needs is to start on a nightly basis. He can do it all inside and outside, is very athletic, long, coordinated, and a good defender. He like Luka is also one or the rare
white guys that social media love. He is popular on and off the team. His potential and ceiling is sky high!

Saw a bit of my first NBA game this year in a bar (while watching the Stanley Cup). Was surprised at the amount of whites on Miami.

Dragic is injured and out, while Butler is hurt but playing. Just about the worst case scenario as they are getting blown out by the Lakers and lose a great white talent.

Despite getting blown out in game one I have confidence that the Miami Heat have a good chance in this series. They need to play hard for all 4 quarters. They played good for about 1 quarter maybe 1 quarter and a half at the most. Other than that they
looked lethargic. Yes losing Dragic is huge. He is their biggest star other than Butler as far as the veterans go but I have a feeling they will bounce back in game 2. Almost all of their starters struggled except Butler. They play team ball but most of their top
guys had off nights. They have to get more physical and just hit the shots like usual. I will be shocked if game two isn't at least close but I will predict a Heat Win. :)

I have talked about Tyler Herro many times on this board. We are looking at a future all star possibly for the next decade. He is that good. What I like more is that they took a poll on social media. Other than Lebron James, Tyler Herro was the 2nd most
popular NBA Player on all of Twitter since the Bubble(Reg Season & Playoffs) started. Yes he is more popular than everyone except Lebron. This is a 20 year old kid that people love. He has so many followers and just like Luka, he can flat out play. We are
seeing a future star. I'm not saying he will be as good as Doncic but his influence, style and swagger attracts tons of fans. Add in his ability and Herro is one to watch very closely. I predict he has a huge game 2 in the NBA Finals.

They lost Bam the center as well. Thats arguably the top 3 either out or hurt. Im rooting for them but would think a 20 point loss would be the expected results given the circumstance. Cant believe that the didnt give Leonard one minute of play considering they starting center was out and they were getting killed inside.

I didn't know they lost Bam too. Well hopefully they will be forced to play Meyers Leonard. The only problem is that he hasn't played in months and has to be very rusty and out of shape. It's a long shot but we can hope they make a series of it.

Not even pretending to hide the black locker room ethos. Kyrie Irving on their new head coach Steve Nash: "I don't really see us having a head coach." Irving is one of the worst ball hogs known to mankind. He is also a team killing cancer ( see his time with the Celtics). They should ship his ass out of there for insubordination but I doubt they would. Who the hell would want to be his teammate anyway? You'd be lucky to touch the ball once a month with him out there.

Also glad to hear about the ratings hit see above. It will likely make them cut back on their bitch act and I imagine once fans come back most of the BLM blather will have receded. In fact I suspect a lot of the NBA players aren't really all that in on the program but are going with the flow for the moment. They are more interested in money and material things.

Both Meyers Leonard and Tyler Herro will start tonight along with Duncan Robinson. Even with Dragic hurt it should be fun to watch. I feel good about the Heat winning tonight! :)

Well I was wrong about the Miami Heat winning game two. I did see alot of positives. First off you have to realise that they had 2 starters get hurt in game 1. So game 2 was played without 2 of their stars. Also the point guard is the most important member on the team in my honest opinion. Just like a stud quarterback in the nfl. The NBA is a guard driven league and Dragic has been playing some of the best basketball of his career and that is one of the big reasons they are in the finals. Despite everything going wrong I saw some positives tonight. They showed alot more toughness even though the score doesn't really show that.

Our guys did good but we need to step it up another level for game 3!

Kelly Olynyk 24 pts, 9 rebounds & 2 assists.
Tyler Herro 17 pts, 7 rebounds & 3 assists.
Duncan Robinson 9 pts, 1 steal and 4 assists
Meyers Leonard 7 pts, and 1 assist in 9 minutes played.

Duncan Robinson needs to play better. He is one of the best shooters in the nba but has struggled in the first 2 games. I would be shocked to see him not go off in game 3. Let's hope for the best. Game 3 is a must win!

Leonards 7 points in 9 minutes tells me everything I thought about the Miami Heat. Shocking treatment, and means I can't even get being a team full of our boys.

Tonite a game wasn’t that bad, and 3/5 white starters is amazing in the finals.

they’ll probably rig the game because Of Kobe and they want some fairy tail style send off but I don’t belive the heat will be swept

With the NBA I believe the rigging goes on when teams are assembled. Like another arrangement when Shaq joined Kobe they carefully orchestrated LeBron being teamed up with Anthony Davis. These two players are clearly the two best in this series so it shouldn't come as a shock that they are winning. Too bad about Dragic. I think if Miami was at full mast this could have been a close series. They are such a smart tough team.

Meanwhile G Alex Caruso is almost playing starter minutes off the bench. He is without a doubt one of the best defensive players in the NBA and his length and athleticism causes nightmares for opponents. He is also a good ball distributor. He nailed a couple of three pointers last night but he is generally an erratic shooter. If he could shoot he would be an all star.

Thinking back the famous Michael Jordan “flu game” in the 1997 NBA Finals. Imagine in 2020 if he showed up to the game with the flu. He would be immediately quarantined, the arena would be evacuated, a hazmat team would be called to clean up, and the rest of finals would be canceled. That’s the ******* idiocracy in which we are now living.

Watch the doc about Tim Donaghy and he explains how the league all but does WWE instructions on how to call games.

Watching the series it looks like various early round NCAA tournament games where a favorite has too much size for a scrappy mid major to overcome. The two Miami bigs aren't physical Sabonis(Sr.) types and that's what it takes to have a shot at holding off the bigs of LA. Even then Lebron whines and complains if he doesn't get every and one call or if he gets called for his obvious charges.

I gave up on the rigged 3 card Monte playoff games when Sacramento lost to the Lakers in 02' in the conference final.

Its over boys, no more thoughts of “what should have been”. Barring miraculous fake Covid tests from Vegas against Davis and James. We are going to have to wait for next year

Meyers Leonard on the floor. He can be a difference maker. Athletic and great 3 point shooter for a 7 footer.

Probably won’t win this series. But Miami has a great future. Tyler Herro and Duncan Robinson can’t even grow mustaches yet.

The Miami Heat beat the LA Lakers tonight by a score of 115-104! It has to go down as one of the biggest upsets of all time as they were without 2 starters again yet found a way to win. Jimmy Butler had a triple double and was outstanding. I will say thie for Butler. He is a team player and he shares the ball. He is also Tyler Herros best friend and he treats our guys fair and doesn't seem to see color. Happy for Butler and the Miami Heat. The LA Lakers still lead the NBA Finals 2 games to 1 and they matchup again on tuesday.

Here is how our guys did tonight:

Tyler Herro 17 pts, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal.
Kelly Olynyk 17 pts, 7 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals.
Duncan Robinson 13 pts, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals & 1 blocked shot.
Meyers Leonard 7 pts, 1 rebound and 1 steal in 13 minutes of play.

Good News! Leonard proving to be worthy of being in the rotation. I see his minutes slowly creeping up. Now let's hope for Dragic to get back!

Good game. Heat win game 3:
Olynyk 17 pts, 7 reb, 1 ast
Herro 17 pts, 3 reb, 2 ast
Robinson 13 pts, 5 reb, 3 ast
Leonard 7 pts, 1 reb

I hope the Heat win game 4. Maybe Dragic can return soon.
