Adam Humphries had 10 more receptions yesterday. Will be interesting to see how much interest, if any, there is in him on the free agent market this coming offseason. The announcers were joking yesterday about the Patriots signing him and turning him into a hundred catch receiver, which is a joke based on the racist truth that only the Patriots and Vikings treat White receivers semi-fairly.
Humphries has been written off every year as the odd man out on Tampa's receiving crew, especially this year with Chris Godwin supposed to emerge, along with the already established Mike Evans and Desean Jackson, leaving Humphries as a backup if not outright cut. But unsurprisingly Jackson was hurt a fair amount of the time, and Godwin's chance to shine as the starter alongside Evans for a few late season games was a colossal flop. Meantime Humphries just continued to do what he always does, produce at a consistently strong level when given playing time. He's finally receiving some long overdue respect (the typical prolonged process of racial apprenticeship and media mocking just about all White receivers have to go through), so what kind of respect he gets in the free agent market will be telling as to whether or not White receivers continue to make very small, incremental gains in the NFL.

Several things about WR Humphries stand out. He is never talked about even when he was at Clemson. He is still only 25 years old and is obviously just starting to enter his prime. And even though I haven't seen too many Tampa Bay games over the years he always seemed faster than reported when I did get a chance to watch him. He is also a stalwart punt returner.
Any sensible team ( not easy to find) would want a rising and proven solid free agent WR like Adam who understand things as opposed to the many clueless 40 yard dash wasted draft pick black wonders who turn out to be useless in the end.
Gosh I would like to see the Bills and Josh Allen have a reliable WR like Humphries. Many other teams could use him too but Don is right he has been seen as a hanger on type but a look at his stats below prove otherwise. And many times he wasn't a starter.

Humphries for sure would be a player the Patriots could plug in. He is 24 or 25 and has established himself as a quality WR. So far a similar career trajectory as Welker - unheralded, undrafted but managed to carve out a niche before the Pats signed him.
The Pats themselves will be in for an interesting offseason - What will they do with Brady? Will they draft his successor? Will Gronk retire ? For as much grief as I have given the organization I wouldn’t mind seeing them win one more Super bowl this year especially with Hogan primed to take a bigger role in the playoffs.
Gronk is a generational talent - better than Gonzalez, Sharpe, Graham, Gates or any other non-white TE the system tries to throw out there. He is a transcendent athlete and has excelled at giving the finger to the caste system during the course of his career as he has made a living making Black LBs and Dbs look foolish by outrunning them, outjumping them, using superior body control to position himself for catches or just simply using his superior strength to break tackles and stiff arm them.
As the core of the Pats dynasty begins to fall apart it will be interesting to see what Bellichek does. Does he walk away to? Will he ego want him to try and win with a team full of affletes? Will the Pats draft Brady’s successor in 2019 in a qb class that is being labeled poor by the “experts”? Bellichek is an SEC fanboy when you look at his drafts - will he draft the midget poly in 2020? He is close with Nick Saban. Only time will tell.

Shadowlight, thanks for the summary of the games yesterday. Screw Arians for just attacking Josh Allen. The Bills have absolutely nothing around Allen to give him any type of success. The whole offense is pretty damned laughable. They cut Nick Oleary who could of served as a security blanket. The WRs are right up there with the worst in the league. OL is a damned joke. They need to jettison McCoy and try to get a draft pick or two for him.

McCaffrey was barely used as a Running Back during his rookie season. He was treated as 'mentally fragile' more-so than physically incapable -- this was obvious. Even with that lackluster, slow-footed OL, a team would have used their black RB. McCaffrey simply wanted a workload, he wasn't trying to 'hit a homerun' on every carry... he was portrayed as having some "unhealthy chip" for wanting said workload - starting with early carry/groove reps - and then getting stronger as the game progresses. The normal routine.

He might have needed a year to get stronger and get adjusted to the NFL and the Panthers might have needed time to figure out how to use him best. Getting hit by NFL linebackers is much different than getting hit by the average Pac 10 linebacker. Joe Mixon had similar numbers last season and has posted similar rushing numbers to McCaffery this season. Of course C Mac is on another level to Mixon receiving wise as he could be a starting slot receiver in the NFL too.

It's not unusual for a running back to make a big improvement his second year over a relatively ordinary rookie season.

Adam Gotsis setting the tone with a 1st quarter sack, he now has 3.5 on the season.
I think that was a big part of it, but also Carolina's run blocking last year was simply awful, about as bad as the ill-fated season Toby Gerhart started for Jacksonville and almost never had a crease to run through. The Panthers' o-line was noticeably improved this year, and Christian also found his groove, packed on some more muscle while still being very fast and quick and was used well for the most part, though his pairing with Cam Newton will never be ideal.

Beat me to it! I actually have a feeling Dallin Leavitt will stick in the NFL for Oakland, oddly enough Da Raiders are pretty high on him. Leavitt got a chance on defense last night as well grabbing a tckl. The last time a white DB played defense for the Raiders was when Stuart Schweigert started multiple years in the mid-2000's...

I think Leavitt’s former teammate Gaje Ferguson can have a similar rise to an active roster in the NFL. He just finished his senior season and had over 200 career tackles, could be an undrafted guy that finds his way onto a roster as well and he has better size than Leavitt for the NFL.

Doing some of my usual ADHD skipping around and landed on a moment in a Saints game and what I thought was Brees pass attempt and he took off for first down. I thought wow Brees has some wheels but it was actually Taysom Hill doing the running. Some wheels there.
Some of the "defense" I've seen this year would make good Washington Generals audition tapes. Two different sports, yes, but certainly the requisite ineptness and spirit. Failed cornerback would look good on a resume.

Even with the departure of Josh Gordon, Chris Hogan wasn't targeted a single time against Buffalo. Gronk was also catchless. Quite frankly I'll be very surprised if the Patriots are ever again the Patriots we've rooted for for so long while they successfully defied Caste System orthodoxy on offense year after year (not that it's done any good anywhere else in the alleged "copycat league" other than maybe in Minnesota). Brady apparently finally being visited by Father Time only adds to the suspicion that the end of the best era by far of the past 40 years is at hand.

Yea I see Leavitt sticking around as well the raiders will probably keep the trio of safeties Karl Joseph, Erik Harris & of course Dallin Leavitt, then again if the rumors are true Karl Joseph maybe gone after the season no matter the scenario that plays out I see Leavitt being around awhile

I watched the entire Raiders game and it was very clear Jordy and his key third down receptions were integral in the Raiders commanding victory.
Jordy was solid all night with a 7-75 stat line. And each catch was at an important juncture of the game. QB Derek Carr has not thrown an interception in a long time and the Raiders have been 3-3 in their last six games.
Jordy's season stats now read 54-661-3 but as mentioned before he rarely played or was targeted for at least four games. It was as if he never existed.
Like the caste laden dead end Cardinals, Gruden was given a sorry lot with these Raiders. Still as scrambled as they have looked they haven't been as bad as advertised although that defense is the biggest problem. Needs a lot of repair on all three levels.
All we heard was how bad they miss DE Mack but how much do they miss him now that they are winning and being competitive?
Ditto WR Amari Cooper. The Raiders were 1-5 with him. He made no difference and the Denver game magnified the importance of having Jordy on the team. Someone capable of making key chain moving plays.
So why are they talking about releasing Jordy at the end of the year? You aren't going to be able to draft a WR that can step right in and fulfill the role Jordy is playing. They could use a field stretcher WR but teams that are in transition have to keep clutch veterans around for the transition to go smoothly. Otherwise the Raiders will be one of those teams with a ton of draft picks that continues to falter just like the Browns, who until this past season, were terrible year after year despite a glut of high draft picks. You need solid veterans who know what they are doing. Just look at what happened to the Packers after Jordy left.
Now that Jordy is the key WR the Raiders are starting to win and Carr is becoming more efficient and finally developing a bond with Jordy.
Bottom line they should keep Jordy for at least one more year. If they don't they will pay the price. Are you listening Jon Gruden?
And draft some white players on D. There are plenty to choose from. This team could turn around in a hurry if they follow through on these points next season.
