Cowboys- Panthers game is tough to watch. QB play is beyond awful. Chiefs - Chargers much better although the Chargers receivers have been mediocre. Mulatto Mahomes has had a nice game, Chiefs rolling. Anthony Sherman hauled in a nice long TD pass.

I call BS on those last 2 "TDs" by Mahomes. Flipping the ball on misdirection plays is now considered a pass. Ridiculous, Fat Bastard padding Mahomes stats!
Although I’m no fan of Mahomes, shovel passes have always been that. How many shovel passes for TDS has Tom Brady had in his career? Should we take those away?

I’m sure we’re all going to hustle to the theaters to see Night School. Good grief.

Trey Quinn and Greg Olsen both injured. Olsen wearing a walking boot after re-injuring his right foot. . .

McCaffrey needs to demand a trade.......the Panthers was do anything except let him score......

Yep...they give the ball to Alex Armah to run it in from the 1-yard line. Who the hell is Alex Armah? I had to look him up because I'd literally never heard of him.

Philip Rivers having his usual brilliant game, nearing 400 yards with 3 TDs. It would be closer to 500 yards without all the drops.

Sure #banshovelpass.

Either way Fat Bastard drew up 2 easy "passes" in running situations. Now the media has a new pet black quarterback to ride.

Cam Newton is one of the most overrated players in the league.
Indeed.

For anyone who reads this, always remember this about Newton. If he were White, he’d be out of the NFL.

Compare him to Tebow. Both played together at Florida. Tebow was better and Newton sat. Newton also stole a laptop showing poor character. Tebow is a saintly role model. Tebow had a better college career than Newton. Newton was picked 1st and handed a starting job. Tebow was not and was never give a chance to develop. Newton, despite some very poor seasons, has never faced any competition for his job. Tebow is playing minor league baseball.

McCaffrey finished with 10 carries for 50 yards plus 6 receptions for 45 yards (Panthers' leading receiver). Definitely an improvement over the way he was used last season. Too bad they had to bring in that scrub nobody to punch in the touchdown.

The three darkest teams of the day - Houston, Seattle, and Arizona - all lost. Vikings, Patriots, and Bengals won. Pretty good day for YT.

I missed the second half. Did he rip off a long run, because I had him at around 6-26 first half and heard on the radio his first carries of the second half only went for a few yards?

Terry Bradshaw said he was impressed by Newton's 160 yards passing and 50 yards rushing. These are poor numbers. It's hard to believe he's really impressed. He's just hyping the AA QB.

It seemed like Christian had a quiet day yet still totaled 95 yards in a low scoring game. He'll have much better games ahead but not every week will be fantastic, especially with Newton at QB, who has great difficulty throwing short passes and likes to hog the ball near the goal line.

If you want to extrapolate entire seasons from a single half you can come up with all kinds of crazy stats both good and bad. I'm willing to at least wait a few games before drawing any conclusions.
Agreed. Patience is not my strength....and I've about had it with the NFL. When I tried to watch the first quarter of the Panthers game and CM only got one carry, I lost patience again. I guess I was hoping for more and to see him get off to a good start towards a 1,000 yard season as were many here. I won't say another word about the use of CM, except for only on a positive note. I'll let the season play out. I'll reserve comments until the end of the season.

I didn't like the play calling for a lot of his runs, believe me. And the matchup with Newton at QB may never work out well. But I do think he's going to be involved every week, how much and how effectively remains to be seen.
