He said it was racist that Lamar Jackson wasn't taken immediately after Baker Mayfield because "they're the same."
Damn. Decker just dropped one in his hands.Brady to Hogan for the first TD of the night. No sign of Decker yet as Hogan, Edelman and Dorsett getting the snaps after two series. Riley McCarron with a nice fair catch on the Eagles first punt.
Rookie WR Trey Quinn with a couple catches for 1st downs &nice punt return too! He's as Tough as Nails to bounce back so quick after last weeks big hit spitting blood!
Rookie DB Troy Apke with the INT!
About Hanson, I think the Jets would love to get rid of him. After all, they are the Jets. The only thing holding them back is that Cheshire Cat sitting up there in Boston. They know he'd snatch him up in an instant.A mixed bag yesterday.
I am concerned about Hansen of the Jets. When he was out there they seemed to ignore him and he has yet to put together a solid performance. If he plays solid enough the next two games he should stay on the 53 man roster but if things remain hollow he could be in trouble despite being a 4th round pick a year ago.
The Patriots situation is still muddy. Decker has not distinguished himself yet but I don't have any idea of his status. Seemed like McCarron was getting more snaps than last week and handled the punts and kick offs. Didn't do anything dramatic but didn't screw up either. If he can make a few plays in the next two weeks I suspect he will make the 53 man roster. They need a return man at least until Edelman gets back although as I mentioned elsewhere I think they should keep McCarron as the return man when Edelman returns.
As noted above Jake Kumerow (3-114-1 last night) has looked great so far and has a shot to make the team. And Rodgers seems to like him so the Packers better make their star QB happy. Not a done deal but it would rank as a pleasant surprise if he makes the roster.
The Redskins situation, also noted above, is looking better by the day. I thought it was telling that Trey Quinn was not on the field for the latter parts of last night's game apart from the final series. This is usually a good indication he has moved beyond the scrub crowd. And his nifty punt return only helped his cause.
Apke of course intercepted a deflected pass and generally looked like a budding star out there. The new ESPN announcing crew sounded patchy at best but I will wait until the regular season to see if they worked out some kinks. But like Quinn it was a very good sign Apke was long gone from the game in the 4th quarter. Those who pigeon holed him as a special teams one hit wonder are looking stupid right now.
Wow, 71 yards!Nice TD run by Christian McCaffrey!
Mahomes also with an into which continues his poor preseason. Kansas City is in for a big regression this year by giving up on Smith for an unproven, overhyped mulatto.(s)Cam with the INT
