Tomlin's decision to on sides kick with a full two minutes left and plenty of timeouts was the STUPIDEST CALL I have seen in a key playoff game that I can remember off the top of my head. Pure idiocy.

Vikings defer the kickoff. Deferring is now fashionable.

I think it's better to receive the kickoff. If you score first it puts the other team under pressure.

Did anyone get the White starter counts for Minnesota vs New Orleans? I know the Vikings have a big advantage but by how much?

There two outstanding safeties are white.

Vikings have consistently started 11 Whites. Saints' latest depth chart shows 5, but they've lost 3 White starters to injury this season -- A. J. Klein, Alex Anzalone, and Zach Strief. Josh Hill replaced Fleener at TE.

*If * you waste little time striking first. It's called risk.

OTOH deferring lets you wait and see if you want the ball to start the second half, based on what how the first half unfolded. I can see it both ways.

I got a feeling Casey is a rhythm and Theilan will be a yuge part of it.

Right on cue, 16 yard catch for Thielen.

Joe Buck (?) says he asked Thielen what the knocks were on him coming out of college that caused him to go undrafted. Thielen said "I had none. Nobody looked at me."

Can you say "caste system"?

What did you say?

Just to talk tomorrow about how Tomlin needs to be fired. Waiting to see if he takes the bait - my guess is he won't. He didn't reply last week when he was bitching about Bortles performance so I reminded him how bad Idler Arm looked. We shall see, I may have some fun with it.

Thielen just made a third down catch and the db grabbed him when he was in the air, before the ball got to him, and threw him to the ground. So he essentially started tackling him before the ball got there. Shouldn't that be a penalty?

I agree, but in this case you're talking about two great players. Saying one is better than the other doesn't automatically mean the person saying it is pursuing an anti-White agenda. It's better to point it out when it's much more obvious.

The QB is always the most important player on a team by nature of the position. A RB or WR may be the "best" player on a team though.

Going back to Mariota. Even the Patriots said he is pretty much a black quarterback.

“He’s a step-up guy, so you want to get that penetration up the middle and don’t allow him to go outside on the edge,” Flowers said, adding that the coverage in the secondary was crucial in taking away Mariota’s first read. “We know he’s a guy that if he doesn’t get an open look, he’s going to look for the rush. That’s what he did. We had a lot of guys making plays.”

Big sack by Harrison Smith. Forces Saints into a longer field goal which the kicker missed!
