2018 NFL Divisional Playoffs

Tennessee has likely peaked this season and will slide back to its standard .500 and worse, much like Oakland peaked with its one-hit wonder last year. Mariota and Malarkey is not a duo that summons up images of Brady and Belichick.

I am under the same impression. This is a middle of the road caste riddled team with a dumb ass coach ( his time management at the end of the first half was atrocious) that would have been knocked off by the Chiefs if Kelce wasn't skulled with a cheap shot. Mariota doesn't inspire confidence. Can he complete deep passes? And in general the Titans are God awful BORING. Good riddance. Hope this team disappears which I think they will.

The only question is what will they do with Eric Decker going forward. It is worth noting that Trent Taylor's college teammate Taywan Taylor a third round pick played and looked terrible. He only hauled in 27 passes and made NO impact whatsoever. Probably just a guy who was a product of a gimmicky college offense and the other Taylor ( Trent) seems at this point to be the better player. But back to Decker who is clearly the Titan's best receiver even if he is a bit past his prime. As mentioned above he was SCREWED on a BOGUS push off call that NFL refs normally don't call but just another example of white targeting.
At this stage of his career Decker would make a solid #2 receiver and hopefully he gets out of Titan land where he wasn't used enough to go along with a QB who has shown NO growth at all four seasons in. Like Tyrod Taylor he is the classic run first QB who is out of his element if required to win a game passing the ball.

While not a Eagles fan I was glad they knocked off the media darling Falcons.

I will always remember the HBO series "Hard Knocks, Dallas Cowboys." Danny was lighting it up in practice and preseason, much like Danny Woodhead. Yet they cut him for an affelet who "looked" the part. That affelet never played again after that season. Also, remember Jim Jones referring to Danny as "boy" numerous times. He would never refer to an affelet as boy. But its ok because Amendola was a diminutive white receiver. Castesystem nonsense all the way.
Was that after the Eagles cut him after picking him up Undrafted? I will always remember how well he did in preseason and training camp for the Eagles. Everyone noticed it in Philly, yet he got cut by Andy Reid for seemingly no reason. He was clearly better than all the Eagles receivers. But we had Kevin Curtis that year, so the white receiver job was filled.

Decker made some bad decisions going to the Jets Americans. The announcers did remind everyone of his great game winning TD CATCH last week.

The year was 2008, his rookie season as a UFA. Dallas cut him, but he made their practice squad and reminded until the Eagles gave him a chance.

Ahhh. Thanks. I had no idea he was on Dallas first.

In 2010 Amendola led the NFL with all-purpose yards with over 2300 yards.

Decker has never been in high demand despite his great seasons with Denver. The Jets were the only team interested in giving him a decent contract after the Broncos made it clear they were moving on from him, and then Tennessee was the only team interested in him after the Jets cut him, despite Decker excelling with the Jets under very tough circumstances as far as the QBs throwing to him and the offense in general. White receivers don't have the same options black receivers do, even stars. Look how fast the careers of Welker and Hartline withered. As I posted in the Decker thread, he may well be out of the league next season or have to settle for a back-up role somewhere. Hope I'm wrong of course but that seems to be the trajectory his career is currently on, very similar to that of Hartline.

From Weenieworld: ESPN's Chris Mortensen confirms Sam Bradford is expected to back up Case Keenum in Sunday's Divisional Round game against the Saints. This was widely expected after the Vikings activated Bradford from injured reserve on Saturday. With Bradford finally healthy, Teddy Bridgewater will fall to third on Minnesota's QB depth chart and will likely be inactive against New Orleans. The Vikings have never dressed more than two quarterbacks during Mike Zimmer's tenure as head coach.

Decker was made up to be a product of playing with Manning which is a total lie. The fact he produced as much as he did in New York was a testament to his skill and ability. In Tennessee he was essentially reduced to a possession/slot WR and a security blanket to the regressing Mariota. I did appreciate that Romo called out Mariota's bad season stats in the last few minutes of the game last night.

Yep. The real product of playing with Manning was Julius Thomas, which the media will never acknowledge as starry-eyed DWFs still believe in his "upside." And the media will never admit they were wrong about Decker.

When White WRs excel, it's always credited as being caused by some magical connection with their quarterback rather than the fact that they're just plain good.

Great feature piece on Casey Keenum on BSPN homepage. Hell does freeze over once an in while over at BSPN. Yes, Don, that magical connection with a white receiver Theilan and Keenum was mentioned. LOL

And in 2016, Thielen had a "magical connection" with Sam Bradford. Maybe Adam is just a magical talent.

Just like Decker just happened to have a magical connection with Tim Tebow before he was a "product" of Manning! Maybe that's why they hated Tebow so much. He seemed to have magical connections with white receivers in college and the pros.

Jags up 7 early. TE Ben Koyack had a 21yd catch on the scoring drive. He played well last weekend too. Looks like another young TE for us to cheer for!

Jax owned Pitt in Week 5 when they played in the Burgh, 30-9, and are owning them so far again today

Amazing how a Dynasty offense in New England has started majority Whites for receivers every year, yet the lowly Jaguars and Steelers can't seem to find room fir even one or two between them.

I can't see the Steelers coming back from a 0-21 deficit against the Jax defense. Game over already?

Looks like it! Jax scores again, it's now 21 to 0. A lot of time left for Big Ben but Jags are winning the physicality battle.

A LOT of time left. But Pitt looks flat so far.

On Saturday I was in a store and overheard a black male say "The Titans are going to win today."

Word to the wise, never pay heed to what a black male says about anything. Especially who is going to win, etc. in most cases.

Jesse James was wide open on Big Bens contested TD throw to Brown.

Fournette twists his ankle and Ivory is inactive so now only Yeldon remains for Jags at RB. Maybe Bohannon will get carries.
