2018 NCAA Tournament

Loyola vs. Michigan coming up in 20 minutes. Can't wait. We will have one team legitimately worth rooting for in the final.

Amazing how history repeats.......in 1963 the Loyola basketball team helped to break the 'color barrier' in college barrier...... and now, 55 years later, they are doing it again...........

You said it north winds

In a sports conversation with acquaintances, I once compared Wes Welker to Jackie Robinson regarding color barriers in sports, and boy did the liberals in the group get butthurt.

Krautwig opens the second half with a three point play and draws the foul on Wagner. Wagner then drives and throws down the dunk on the other end!

LOL......I've done that before as well (also called him the 'Ross Parks' of White WRs).........with similar results.......

It's so funny. Once they see that their butthurt isn't causing you to magically change your views and apologize, they tend to wander off into a corner wondering why real life isn't like TV.

Other Jackie Robinsons/Rosa Parkses include Jordy Nelson (the big outside deep threat), Larry Bird, Christian McCaffrey, Jason Sehorn, and even Mike Trout (the complete five-tool baseball player, including speed. Especially speed).

Loyola's epic run comes to an end. Despite having a ten point second half lead David can't hold off the Michigan Goliath. Mo Wagner with a fantastic game for Michigan, 24 points and a career high 15 rebounds.

Michigan is the team to root for now. They have three white guys that really are stars. M.Wagner saved
the day for them today. He was a monster inside and outside.

Wagner saved their bacon, also having more depth in their rotation.

It seemed like the Loyalo rotation was heavy legged near the end of the match as routine passes were going astray in critical moments late in the game.

If Michigan is going to beat the Villanova machine, Wagner will need a huge game similar to today.

I like the match up tonight. Five super sophomores readily come to mind in college basketball this season. Kyle Guy, Kevin Huerter, Killian Tillie and tonight we get the other two, Donte D, who has been fabulous of late and Mo Wagner ditto.

So you have the bonus of not just two rising stars but underclassmen to boot which makes it even better.

Looking forward to Wagner leading the way for Michigan!

Should be a good matchup tonight. At the very least, both of these teams actually play basketball, so there shouldn't be too much ghetto ball. I'm of course cheering for Mo Wagner and Michigan. It'd be a great end to the season to see Wagner winning the MVP and Michigan on top. He's got to have a game like he did on Saturday night for the Wolverines to win. Villanova is hot right now, so Michigan is going to have to run them off of the arc.

Also, I loved northwinds post near the top of the page!

I must say this is the best basketball I'm ever seeing. The way Mo dived in to get that ball in the pile up, shows that he cares about this game truly.

DiVincenzo is playing lights out. 16 points already with 4 minutes left in the first half.

What is up with that damn horn? So annoying.

Donte D has been a man on a mission!

DiVincenzo with 18 points, and the announcing team of Nantz, Rafftery, and Hill with nothing but compliments for him. What a performance on a national stage!! The Wildcats were often the whiter team as well in the first half, with DiVincenzo and Gillespie on the court a lot. Robinson was in foul trouble for Michigan.

Wagner needs to get it going for Michigan though. He started off strong, but Nova has really stifled him.

Wagner started off very assertive but then he stopped looking for his shot. He is going to have to be aggressive on the offensive end for 20 minutes if Michigan is going to come back.
