Since 2006, Clemson has started 7, 5, 5, 5, 2, 4, 3, 5, 5, 3, 6 ...last year anywhere from 5 to 7 . This season they
are Projected to Start "6 " if TE Garrett Williams wins the job?

Former Walk-0n WR Hunter Renfrow has a Caste Poster boy seat at the table. His 5 TD's receptions vs. Alabama 5-star DB's in Two National Championship (including last second game-winner) Will live in infamy!

Top Rated HS QB Trevor Lawrence (6'-6" 215) in the back-up for now; but should see early playing time; & could start if veteran Bryant is not more consistent.

Tanner Muse(Junior) is an athletic play making Free Safety listed at 230lbs who should be on the NFL radar!

Clemson has definitely bucked the National(& Southern) trend with the number white defenders on scholarship over the past few years. Still a bit disappointing to see just Muse starting; they rotate 2nd Teamers plenty; so may actually see 4 or 5 in some games at the same time !

Other players to watch : QB Chase Brice (Fr.); TE Cannon Smith; TE JC Chalk
Walk-on RB Ty Thomason had 5 carries for 37 yards last season

OFFENSE (5)
WR Hunter Renfrow
TE Garrett Williams (battle for position)
LT Mitch Hyatt
C Justin Falcinelli
RG Sean Pollard

DEFENSE (1)
FS Tanner Muse

Keep an eye on : LB Jaime Skalski & LB Chad Smith both see plenty playing time
DB Nolan Turner(son of late ex NFL RB Kevin); DE Logan Rudolph (younger brother of NFL QB Mason) ; LB Braylon Specter ; LB Jake Venables (Fr.); FS Kyle Cote (walk-on)

Clemson has an an excellent Walk-on program going with some potential players under the radar. Coach Dabo Swinney being a ex walk-on WR in college at Alabama has helped this.

I'll be interested once Lawrence takes over the QB position. One has to wonder if Swinney will play him early if Bryant struggles. He gave Watson the job early into his freshman year when an upper classmen white QB struggled - now that the shoe is on the other foot we will see if preferential racial treatment comes into play.

I’ll have to find the link where an NFL scout said the 6’6 Lawrence has as much (raw) talent as alotta current NFL QBs,

Thanks 22.

22 captures the essence of what is going on with Clemson. Despite WR Adam Humphries an NFL player who played at Clemson (low key while there to boot) Clemson has traditionally been very caste. Coach Swinney has changed things up a bit and his recruiting patterns suggest a coach not cut from the standard caste structure. A rarity in this day and age for a high profile southern team.

They aren't Iowa or Northwestern of course but taking everything into consideration they do have some bright spots one can't ignore and unlike some teams the recruiting patterns suggest this isn't some two to three year fluke.

I am a huge Tanner Muse fan ( his arm injury last season was a bummer) and everyone here likes WR Hunter Renfrow. I would hope to see both names get drafted next spring!!

I will add remember athletic stud QB Hunter Johnson has transferred to Northwestern. He probably will slide into the starting spot once Thorson graduates.

Your welcome Shadowlight! Exactly! Can remember when it started with Tyler Grisham UDFA/ Steelers Practice Squad; then Adam Humphries (Bucs) & Renfrow. Who might be next?

Thanks for mentioning talented QB Hunter Johnson who transferred to Northwestern; had thought about mentioning him.

This is the season I was hoping there would be an uptick in DB's that will be Drafted in the NFL....Andrew Wingard....Chase Hansen (but gained 10lbs) Oft-injured Brandon Snyder (transferred to So.Dakota St.)...Include Tanner Muse on the list..but he continues to gain weight too...

After only Two white DB's Drafted the past two seasons 17' Gerry (moved to OLB) & Apke in 18'

Nice to see Lawrence get the job. His performance speaks for itself. One less black quarterback starting in college football and Bryant should fall off NFL radars as well since he has been outplayed by a freshmen. He did not have next level starting ability IMO anyway.

Bryant transferring, and now the backup qb is also white, Chase Brice. Pleasant turn of events for us, as Clemson becomes somewhat supportable.

It will be interesting to see what f@g head coach recruits Bryant to be his programs black quarterback savior.

Louisville would be my guess to. Petrino is an all time cuck. Only question is if Clemson blocks a transfer to another ACC school.

He sure is and True I know most the power 5 conferences don't allow transfers in conference.

Arkansas and Auburn are what I've been reading in the S.C. papers.

Baby boy Bryant picked up his “marbles” & went crying back home to ‘mammy’. It won’t take too long for some pro-caste pandering coach to coax the boy out of his “pouty spot” (under his bed).

I was intrigued by who the new number two qb would be, because injuries are so common, and sure enough Brice comes through.

As expected, postgame, the Caste media kept asking Swinney about Bryant until Swinney said he wasn't going to answer any more questions about him.

Hopefully Lawrence will be back soon, but if not, Brice should be very capable and could become very good, especially after being thrown into the fire on Saturday and coming through with a victory.
