Yes Doncic deserved to be an All Star. The whole world knows that and it's a crime but let's look at the bright side.
One of the greatest players to ever play made his 14th an most likely last all star game. Dirk Nowitzki who has over 30'000 career pts.
Jokic make the all star team.
Vucevic made the all star team.
So we have 3 whites. Not great but a slight improvement over last year if my memory is right.
Doncic will be so pissed about being left off. I would not want to even try to guard him in the last part
of the season. As if the guy isn't good enough already averaging over 20 pts per game with 6 rebounds & 5 assists per night.
He also has 2 triple doubles and has come close to many others. He will tear up the league over the last 30 games!
Dallas has become the team to watch going forward. Kleber is a very talented player who can also block shots almost as
good as Porzingis. These 2 will guard the paint and they both can score inside or outside to go with Doncic. What a team. Give
us one or two more of our guys and it would be even better. I like the Pats comparison. Hoping the mavs will be a 50/50 mix
of players next years and make the playoffs! That would be amazing!
Yup just read about Nikola Vucevic and Nikola Jokic both making there 1st all-star appearances! Vucevic 7'0 260 has been underrated his whole 8 year career but has really picked up his game into star-status this year with career high avgs of 20.6 ppg 12 rpg 3.8 apg and 1.2 bpg!
As for Jokic 7'0 250, this seems to be the first of many all-star selections for the young Serbian, with Jokic cementing himself as the best Center in the NBA! He's put up unheard passing avgs for a bigman this year with 20.1 ppg 10.5 rpg 7.7 apg and 1.4 spg!!
A bold prediction for next years all-star game is that we may see the whitest teams since the early 90's or 80's! With new Mav Kristaps Porzingis fully healthy, along with his rising star teammate Luka Doncic likely to be yearly candidates! Also white Americans Kevin Love, and Gordan Hayward are expected 100% back and in form. With Love almost a lock to make it every year, Hayward has found it rough getting back to his 16/17 allstar form after that nasty leg break. But I've been hearing leg breaks are the hardest injuries to recover from in basketball, so expect Hayward to look consistently like his all-star self by the end of this season and in 19/20!
