Since 2006, West Virginia has started 11, 9, 10, 9, 7, 7, 4, 9, 6, 6 and 7 Whites. This year they will start 9. In a very white state, scanning over this depth chart it was a pleasant surprise to see a slight uptick in homegrown white talent than I've traditionally seen with WVU. Good amount of depth on offense. Two players to watch are both former big time prep QB recruits. Will Grier will get the green light to start after having sat a year following a PED suspension and transfer from Florida. David Sills, who was a big time story in 2010 when he verbally committed to USC as a 7th grader, returns, but this as a starting WR. Sills was moved to this position by WVU several years ago, left to the JC levels to play QB, then proceeded to return to Morgantown as a WR.

Offense -
QB - Will Grier
FB - Elijah Wellman
WR - David Sills V
RT - Colton McKivitz
RG - Grant Lingafelter
C - Matt Jones
LG - Kyle Bosch

Defense -
DE - Reese Donahue
LB - Dylan Tonkery

Notable back ups include QB Chris Chugunov, WR Druw Bowen, TE Matt Bezjak, FB Elijah Drummond, RG Josh Sills, C Ray Raulerson, LG Chase Behrndt, LT Kelby Wickline, LB Adam Hensley, and LB Brendan Ferns.

Grier should tear up the big 12. Looking forward to it! His ped story is pretty interesting - there was a good article covering his perspective of the whole ped thing.

Go West Virginia! Finally lighting up after a few very encouraging white friendly recruiting classes.

Official depth chart released today lists LB Dylan Tonkery as a starer, so they are at 9 now. Additionally, LB Brenden Ferns is now second team so even the depth is replaced. Updating the original post.
