Since 2006, Southern Cal has started 8, 6, 7, 5, 6, 6, 3, 5, 4, 6 and 6 white players. In 2017 they are projected to start 5.

USC has never been a very white friendly program but outside of Mark Sanchez it does produce some very good white collegiate QBs. Sam Darnold looks to be next in line - he is probably the most favorably covered white college QB since Andrew Luck. He was alot of fun to watch last season as a redshirt freshman and is entering the season as the Heisman favorite. Overall the team is not really one to root for from caste standards outside of Darnold, DE Porter Gustin and LB Cameron Smith. They have assemble quite a few Sumos and Polys which is disappointing but not unexpected from one of the big time college programs. No white skill position players on offense to speak of.

They have a couple of very highly touted young QBs in Jack Sears and Matt Fink. Depending on what Darnold does after the season I would not be surprised to see one of them transfer. Sears might be a candidate for a redshirt.

Players to watch for are OT Andrew Voorhees, TE Cary Angeline, TE Austin Applebee, DE Jacob Lichtenstein, OLB Connor Murphy, S Matt Lopes

Offense
QB - Sam Darnold
TE - Tyler Petite
LG - Chris Brown

Defense
DE - Porter Gustin
LB - Cameron Smith

Gustin ended up playing but one of the surgically implanted screws came loose and he suffered a strained bicep. Despite that he still may play this upcoming week vs. Cal
