Mike Gesicki- (SR) 6'6" 252 Penn State. He caught 48 balls for 679 yards and 5 touchdowns. Had a breakout year last year and hopefully can build upon it.

Troy Fumagalli- (R.JR) 6'6" 248 Wisconsin. He caught 47 balls for 580 yards and 2 touchdowns. He was the Cotton Bowl offensive MVP. Of course he was former walk-on who has turned into one of the best TE's in the country.

Mark Andrews- (R.JR) 6'5" 254 Oklahoma. He caught 31 balls for 489 yards and 7 TDS. Has 14 career TDS.

Hayden Hurst- (JR) 6'5" 250 South Carolina. He caught 48 balls for 616 yards. Both of those are South Carolina single season records for a TE. A former professional baseball player who came back to football.

Ross Dwelley- (SR) 6'5" 240 San Diego. Plays in the same conference as draftee Eric Saubert. Some regard Dwelley as better than Saubert. He caught 70 balls for 843 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Miami Redhawks' Ryan Smith had 7 catches for 98 yards and 2 TDs against Marshall. A sleeper talent.

Notre Dame's Durham Smythe had 2 catches for 34 yards.

Underutilized Cole Cook, of NC State, had one catch for 29 yards against South Carolina.

Will Dissly, WASH: 5 catches for 79 yards and 2 TDs against Montana. With Drew Sample dealing with injury, this may be Will's time to shine in the immediate future.

Hayden Hurst, SC: 3 catches for 69 yards and a TD.. and rushed for a 2-yard TD.

Logan Hessbrook, CMU: 4 catches for 61 yards and a TD

Matt Bushman, BYU: 6 catches for 50 yards against rival Utah. If the BYU offense develops, he will make bigger plays.

i don't always catch the tight ends doing good work, but here are a few more noteworthy efforts from Week 2 ...

Troy Fumagalli – one of the nation’s top tight ends, the Wisconsin senior hauled in a career-high 8 catches for 92 yards and 1 touchdown. He has nearly double the catches and yards of the next two top receivers on the Badgers combined.

Cole Herdman – Purdue’s junior tight end continues to showcase his playmaking ability in the passing game, grabbing 2 balls for 87 yards, including a 62-yard touchdown catch-and-run.

Yes indeed Jimmy C! Cole Herdman should be on the NFL Radar

Came into the 17' Season thinking these were the Best TE's in College Football! Nice to always add a few more prospects....
*Mike Giesicki (exceptional athlete Dunk Contest Winner at 6-6" 250 )
*Troy Fumagalli (Mr.Consistent)
*Mark Andrews (former WR Big Play Threat)...hurt knee Sat. vs. Ohio St..hope OK
*Hayden Hurst (actually Returned Punts some last year!)
& Adam Breneman (could play TE for any team in the Nation)

Here is another....Dallas Goedert (Sr.) 6'-4" 260 for FCS South Dakota State...a LOCK for the 18' NFL Draft....he along with WR Jake Weineke make for as an Exciting Pass Catching Duo as any!

Last season as a Junior Goedert had an eye-popping 92 receptions for 1,293 yards and 11 TDs, while adding another rushing touchdown.
Week 2 ...this past Saturday he had 11 receptions for 132 yards vs. Montana State
