With the brackets officially out, it's that time of year again: March Madness! I personally love the tournament, and look forward to it every year. We've got some white teams in good positions to make a run, and I'm looking forward to some good results. Phall and Freethinker have once again agreed to help me write-up the regions before game-time on Thursday, so you guys all have a good picture of where each time stands.

Until then, I'll post some impressions.

The best white mid-majors got screwed again - Bucknell and Princeton, with good chance to advance are stuck playing in the same pod, with Princeton playing Notre Dame! The committee always groups white teams together, and this year is no different. Other examples: Michigan/Oklahoma State, Purdue/Vermont, and Northwestern/Vanderbilt.

Still a lot of good caste matchups for us: Butler against Minnesota in the 2nd round, Purdue against Iowa State, Marquette against South Carolina, Wisconsin/ Va. Tech, Virginia against all of the teams in their "pod." UCLA shouldn't be in any "white-friendly" matchups for awhile either.

Should be another good tournament! We've got teams that are threats to win this! Please, share your thoughts as well.

Duke-Arizona Final would be ideal; but they'd end up meeting in Final 4....if anybody in the Nation hasn't heard Laurie Markkenan yet...they soon will...dude is going to be a Lottery-pick! Of course sniper shooting Luke Kennard & highlight film Grayson Allen would make it entertaining

Notre Dame could beat Gonzaga....UCLA needs to knock off Kentucky in the Sweet Sixteen

Appreciate all your post Jack Lambert...it's getting late i'd post longer

Most of the talking heads agree Syracuse got screwed. 10-8 in the powerful ACC and they don't make it but USC does get in. Bad job. Too bad ND has to play Princeton in the first round. Always a tough out Princeton has Steven Cook a senior forward who can jump out of the gym. They had a highlight of him dunking yesterday talk about raw explosion!!! I might make a few more posts today elsewhere but I will likely be offline for quite some time. A blizzard is heading my way.

I hate that matchup. I was hoping Princeton would draw somebody like Iowa State or Florida State to try and upset. Notre Dame is the worst team they could've gotten.

In terms of the South, I could see Butler and UCLA meeting in the Elite Eight potentially as well. Butler seems to have a relatively easy path to the Sweet 16 at least.

Also, @Freethinker , I PMed you on the write-ups, let me know if you still are able to do a region.

#1 Villanova Wildcats – The defending National Champions fielded another great team this year, occupying the #1 rank for extended periods. They won the Big East and were rewarded with the #1 overall seed in the NCAA tournament. They lost PG Ryan Arcidiacono to graduation who was the team leader and a great White player. Replacing him is redshirt freshman Donte DiVincenzo as the lone White to get major minutes. Donte is a freak athlete and good shooter who gets major minutes off the bench as a SG/SF. I’d expect Donte to start next year and become a big time player. Freshman big-man Dylan Painter occasionally gets some playing time. Hopefully he is a key rotation player next season as well.

#16 Mount St. Mary’s Mountaineers – This “defensive minded” team may be the worst in the field. They start an all black lineup but bring 2 Whites off the bench. FR big Ryan Gomes and SR swing G/F Will Miller.

#16 New Orleans Privateers – Coal black team. Have 1 White player, SO guard Cameron Reed, who may get into a game but it seems unlikely for this play-in matchup.

#8 Wisconsin Badgers – Always a Caste Football favorite, the Badgers were wildly inconsistent this year. Nigel Hayes was hyped to be the star finally as a senior but he ended up being overshadowed by top scorer Bronson Koenig and breakout Ethan Happ. The mostly-White Koenig leads the Badgers at PG for one more tourney run. He’s a good shooter and an effective ball handler. RS soph big man Ethan Happ took a huge leap forward this year. He’s a great low post player and a strong rebounder. They’ll need him to play lights out for the Badgers to make a deep run and upset Nova. High energy Zak Showalter is the 3rd White starter. He’s a good athlete, good defender and makes all the hustle plays. Great glue guy. The Badgers have tons of White guys on the bench but there are 2 that are most likely to play in the tourney game, G Brevin Pritzl and F Alex Illikainen. Both will grow into larger roles next year as 3 starters graduate.

#9 Virginia Tech Hokies – The Hokies are lead by the sweaty, bald, lunatic-wigger Buzz Williams. Most will remember Buzz from his days leading all black Marquette teams to various levels of success. Looks like this POS has done the same thing to VT, since I actually remember them having a few White guys when he took over a few years ago. Hopefully the Badgers dispose of this dark mess.

#5 Virginia Cavaliers – The Cavs always start chiseled New Zealand center Jack Salt but at times start 2 other Whites. Salt is mostly there for his size, presence and hardnosed defense. He doesn’t offer much offensively. The most exciting player on the Cavs is freshman dynamo guard Kyle Guy. With crazy hair and high energy he’ll surely get some promotion from the media. Mr. Basketball for Indiana was most likely ignored by the dark Hoosiers but ended up in a great program. Guy is an explosive scorer who’s improved as the season has progressed. If he doesn’t start, he’ll get big minutes off the bench especially if the Cavs are having trouble scoring. The other occasional starter is G Ty Jerome. Another true freshman, Jerome is more of a distributor than Guy. He can shoot and handle the ball pretty well. Rounding out the White rotation guys is forward Jarred Rueter. Good news is these guys are all underclassmen so they’ll be fun to watch for years to come. As an aside, one wonders how strong this team would be if Austin Nichols wasn’t kicked off the team.

#12 UNC Wilmington Seahawks – Like the NFL squad with the same name, this is a total Caste team. Only 2 Whiteys are bench ornaments. This will be a pure Caste matchup against Virginia.

#4 Florida Gators – The Gators are another terrible Caste team except they have one really good White player, Canyon Barry. Canyon is the 5th son of NBA hall of famer Rick and is half brothers with Jon and Brent who had nice NBA careers. Canyon is in his only year at Florida after coming over as a graduate student after playing at the University of Charleston. The 6’-6” guard is the 2nd leading scorer with a good balance of high flying athleticism and sharp shooting. He also shoots his free throws underhanded like his pops! One wonders why a talent like this with a rich family tradition ended up at Charleston. Hmmm.

#13 East Tennessee State Buccaneers – Disgusting black team full of negroes from various ghettos domestic and foreign. 1 White benchwarmer who is probably only there to boost the teams GPA. I’m seeing ETSU as a trendy upset pick but I hope they go straight home.

#6 Southern Methodist University Mustangs – Another Caste squad built by arch-villain (((Larry Brown))) who left the program after last season. Ironically the team improved with a new coach. They have a White or 2 who will almost certainly not play in any tourney games. This is a dangerous Caste squad that had a great season and the stat metric nerds rank highly. They could advance a few rounds.

#11 USC Trojans – Another almost all-black team. Only bright side is F Nick Rakocevic who is a true freshman and comes off the bench. He gets decent minutes and should grow into a bigger role.

#11 Providence Friars – Negro coach Cooley always keeps his team very dark. This year is no exception. The only paleface you shall see is sophomore guard Ryan Fazekas off of the bench. He’s mostly just a 3-point shooter. Both options in this play-in game are sh1tty. :BangHead:

#3 Baylor Bears – Getting pretty repetitive but here we have another coal team. Scott Drew’s teams will usually have at least a White shooter and it seems they have that again this year with soph guard Jack Lindsey. He’s even started their last few games. The rest of the rotation is black as night including negroes from Australia and Belgium.

#14 New Mexico State Aggies – I’ve written in past seasons about this vile program and how they get “people of color” from every corner of the globe. This year is the same and I am extremely triggered researching them right now! Let’s see, we have negroes from Canada (3), from France (2), the Ivory Coast and an Indian (call center) from Canada. The only 2 players from New Mexico are a Mexican and a mystery meat. There are zero Whites on this team. This is a totally dumpster fire and one of the few teams that can force me to root for Baylor. :para::machinegun::2guns:

#7 South Carolina Gamecocks – I sound like a broken record but here’s another team with just 1 lone White. I really feel bad for these guys. Spending all this time with thuggish coloreds will either turn these guys into wiggers or totally red-pill them on race. The lone White here is Estonian Maik Kotsar who must be experiencing quite the culture shock. The 6’-10” freshman gets good minutes but it’d be nice for him to transfer to a Whiter program.

#10 Marquette Golden Eagles – The Wojo led Golden Eagles are the best 3 point shooting team in the entire tournament so you know they have some palefaces. Of late, they are starting 3 White goys. Sophomore center Matt Heldt doesn’t score much but provides a defensive presence. Freshman forward Sam Hauser was a nationally ranked recruit after being named the Gatorade Wisconsin Player of the Year. It’s nice to see him stay in state and get a chance to shine right away. Transfer guard from UNC Asheville, Andrew Rowsey, won the Big East 6th Man of the Year but is now starting. He’s the teams 3rd leading scorer and is an excellent 3 point shooter. He’s a great scorer for a player under 6 foot. Prior starting center Luke Fischer is a great scorer, rebounder and shot blocker off the bench. I really don’t understand what Heldt does better than Fischer? Katin Reinhardt is a combo guard who’s been around for awhile after starting on UNLV then transferring to USC before finishing his career at Marquette. He’s a good all-around player who provides strong veteran leadership. A win against SC will make for a fun Wojo vs Coach K matchup.

#2 Duke Blue Devils – A perennial Caste Football favorite, Duke is once again a good rooting choice. They only play 2 Whites but they are arguably their most important players. Coming into the year, it was assumed by the Caste media that the 3 “supa freshmen” would step in and take over the team. That didn’t happen. Most of the season, these 3 had little impact. Of late, Jayson Tatum has been playing extremely well. Jackson and Giles not so much. However, to the media’s huge surprise, and likely disappointment, Luke Kennard blew up this season. Luke made his way into the National Player of the Year discussion by scoring 20 points per game, 5 rebounds per and 2.5 assists a game. This guy is a lethal scorer shooting 50% from the field and 44% from behind the arch. Efficient. The other Dukie of note is “national bad boy” Grayson Allen. Allen has foolishly engaged in tripping other players and accumulating technical fouls. Now this is hurting his stock and is very unbecoming of a White man, however the Caste media predictably blew these instances out of proportion. These controversies have led to Allen’s playing time fluctuating and his starting spot lost, at least temporarily. Even with this down year, he’s still scoring 14 ppg and leading the team in assists. Grayson is explosive as hell and can get to the hoop at will. He’s one of the most exciting players to watch and I have, and will continue to, compare him to a poor man’s Russell Westbrook. After winning the ACC tournament the sky is the limit for the Blue Devils.

#15 Troy Trojans – Another Deep South coal laden squad. The only WT who will see the court is forward Jaro Moravek. He hails from Slovakia. What’s with these Eastern Euros going to these Deep South black programs? Someone is shanghaiing these guys methinks.

I’m not sure yet of the other regions, but I’d wager that the East is the darkest. However, it is wide open for a team like Duke, Virginia or even Wisconsin to make a final 4 run. Personally I think that with Duke’s hot play of late, they are the favorites to win. I don’t foresee any major 1st round upsets but I do like Marquette winning over the 7 seed. I also think SMU handles #3 Baylor in the 2nd round.

Great job Freethinker!! Thanks again for your help. Here's my first region: the South.

South Region

#1 North Carolina – The Tar Heels are again coming off of a good year, and again, they are a nearly all-black team. In a stunning improvement, Luke Maye has actually carved out a role this year off the bench. Amazing, considering he’s just a “blue collar, lunch pail” guy. Maye is a tough power forward who usually does the dirty work for the Tar Heels when he’s in the game, but can shoot from both inside and outside of the arc. However, Maye isn’t enough for the Tar Heels to be of rooting interest for us. They are talented enough to cut down the nets, though.

#16 Texas Southern – This HBCU wouldn’t even think to have a white man on the team. The positive about this team? The Tar Heels will pummel them out of the tournament quickly.

#8 Arkansas – Racist Mike Anderson has Arkansas back in the tournament, and true to form, his team his nearly all-black, much like his mentor’s (Nolan Richardson) were. In an upset, sharpshooting guard Dusty Hannahs starts for the Razorbacks and is actually their leading scorer at nearly 15 PPG. His shooting percentage isn’t the best, but he does knock down free throws at over 90%. He’s a streaky shooter who can be very hot and win the Razorbacks a couple of games, or he can be cold and barely play. He’s got to create nearly everything for himself, as his “teammates” don’t really like sharing the ball with him at times. Hannahs must feel like he’s at a NAACP convention every day.

#9 Seton Hall – The Somali Pirates are just that, an all-black team with only one white guy at the of the bench to pump up the “real athletes”. Like a lot of middling all-black teams, they really don’t have a structured offense, and rely on huge rebounding games by forward Angel Delgado to compete with better teams. As per the course, they play a very physical game, complete with grabbing and hacking, a lot of which doesn’t get called. Hopefully head cuck(coach) Kevin Willard and these racists won’t be around long.

#5 Minnesota – Richard Pitino has channeled both his dad and former Gopher coach Tubby Smith in his recruiting practices. That of course means the Gophers are an all-black team which eschews in-state white talent and a program that had sex scandal problems last year. Freshman forward Michael Hurt is lone white player who may sneak into the game for 1-2 minutes. Reggie Lynch is a good shot-blocker, and Nate Mason has been playing well this year. The best course for this team would be to lose ASAP and get sent back to their liberal hellhole in Minneapolis.

#12 Middle Tennessee State – Coach Kermit Davis must have a fetish for red-head mulattoes, as he now has two of them starting for his team. Davis is no fan of white athletes: no honkies allowed to see the court for this team! They have been playing good however, and are a trendy upset pick for those of us picking the brackets.

#4 Butler – The Bulldogs have their highest seed ever in the NCAA Tournament, and the former Cinderella has put together an impressive resume this year. They have only been starting one white player as of late, however. That player is forward Andrew Chrabascz. He’s one of the most versatile forwards in the country, and Butler runs their offense through him. He can do everything from playing in the post to shooting threes, and he’s second on the team at 11 PPG. He’s also second on the team in assists with over 2 per game. Butler has two players that come in off the bench for good minutes. The first is senior point guard Tyler Lewis. A former McDonald’s All-American, his career didn’t pan out as I’d hoped. Regardless, he’s still a good player who sparks the Bulldog offense. Lewis has one of the best assist to turnover ratios in the country at 3.78! He’s also a capable outside shooter. However, his lack of defense has prevented him from becoming a truly great player and playing more minutes. The second guy you’ll see is 6’10 sophomore center Nate Fowler. He’s great on offense, and actually leads Butler in 3 point %. The factors that prevent him from playing more are that he fouls a lot and he seems to back away from physical play at times. 3-point sniper Sean McDermott may sneak in for a few minutes off the bench as the 9th man in the rotation. Both Fowler and Lewis will play at least 15-20 MPG, giving the Bulldogs 2-3 whites on the court for good chunks of the game. Butler is the team to support in the top half of this region.

#13 Winthrop – The winners of the Big South Conference live and die by the three-point shot, meaning that they could be a potentially dangerous team when they are on, or they could fizzle from deep and get blown out. They have 1 white starter, and will have two on the court for a lot of the game, and did I mention these two are brothers from Minnesota of all places? Sophomore guard Bjorn Broman will be the starter, and is the better defender and “glue guy” of the two. Junior guard Anders Broman comes off the bench as the 6th man to provide scoring punch, as he’s third on the team at 8.3 PPG. These two are the only white players that will see time, most likely. The Eagles have a lot of young white talent on the roster and coming in, and this is a senior-laden team, so they’ll be a team to root for in the future. However, that time is not now.

#6 Cincinnati – There’s three certainties in life: death, taxes, and a Mick Cronin coached team being all-black. This year is no exception, as the only white guys to see the court for Cincy are the managers bringing chairs onto the court for timeouts. As usual, these amazing athletes usually can’t shoot to save their lives, throwing up truly horrendous shots. The Bearcats rely on offensive put-backs to put them over the top in most games. Next.

#11 Kansas State/Wake Forest – The Wildcats are the beneficiary of a very bad bubble, and in my opinion, weren’t worth a bid. They have one white player, forward Dean Wade, and he’s a good one. He’s started every game this year and has averaged 9 PPG and 5 RPG. I haven’t watched any K-State games this year, but I’m assuming his “teammates” usually miss him when he’s open and don’t give him the ball much. Weird how that works, isn’t it? The Demon Deacons I think are another beneficiary of a crappy bubble this year. Wake Forest is better than Kansas State in that they have two white starters. The first is Milwaukee grad transfer forward Austin Arians. The 6’6 Arians is mainly in the game to spread the floor and shoot threes, and he does so at a 41% clip. The second is Dinos Mitoglou, who hails from Greece. The 6’10 junior averages 9 and 6 in 24 minutes per game. Neither of these guys are the Demon Deacons’ main players; that honor goes to guard Bryant Crawford and forward John Collins. Regardless, two white starters is better than one or none, so I’m hoping they win a couple of games.

#3 UCLA – After a down year, the Bruins have stormed back into the national spotlight with the help of talented freshmen in TJ Leaf and Lonzo Ball to go a long with a talented cast of veterans. The explosive Bruins will score a lot of points, and usually can’t be stopped. UCLA will have three white starters, and they are three out of their four best players. The first is TJ Leaf. The 6’10 forward is an explosive athlete who leads a dangerous attack in scoring at over 16 PPG, and is 2nd on the team in rebounding at over 8 per game. Leaf is the complete package, able to dribble the ball well in addition to scoring (he’s very efficient, shooting nearly 62% from the field) and plays defense will too. He’ll be key to UCLA’s chances. The second is senior guard Bryce Alford. Maligned by the Bruin “faithful” the last couple of years, the 6’3 Alford has shut up his critics with an amazing senior year. He is second on the team in scoring at nearly 16 PPG. Alford is one of the most dangerous shooters in the country, often lighting up opposing defenses with a barrage of three pointers, burying them at a 44% clip. He’s had some HUGE games this year, and look for that to continue in the Tournament. Thomas Welsh is the 3rd starter, and he’s a good one. He has one of the best jump shots I’ve seen for a center, and is automatic with his 15 foot jumper. Welsh is shooting over 60% on the year. He also leads the team in rebounding at 9 per game. Off the bench, forward Gyorgy Goloman is a good athlete in his own right, and gives Leaf and Welsh breathers. UCLA has the pieces for a championship, and I hope they make it happen. The Bruins should be CF’s number one team to support, as no other viable contender matches the amount of white stars this team has.

#14 Kent State – The Golden Flashes upset their way to the MAC auto-bid. They have one white starter in guard Mitch Peterson, but he’s nothing spectacular. In no way should anybody here be rooting for this team. The likely destination for the Golden Flashes is behind the woodshed.

#7 Dayton – The Flyers actually played a couple of white forwards in Ryan Mikesell and Sam Miller for parts of the year. Then Archie Miller must’ve realized he can’t be playing white players, as that might screw up “team unity.” He’s barely played either of them as of late. Screw this team. I’m hoping an early exit is in the cards.

#10 Wichita State – The Shockers were vastly underseeded, and it looks like Dayton will be the first to figure that out. They have one white starter in junior point guard Conner Frankamp, who’s played great down the stretch. He’s gotten his confidence and his three-point shot back, shooting nearly 45% from beyond the arc. He’s also got a 4.23 assist to turnover ratio, one of the best in the country! Besides Frankamp, two other white Shockers will come off the bench for varying minutes. Rauno Nurger, a 6’10 Estonian, and 6’5 freshman guard Austin Reaves (who I believe will be a great player one day) both come off the bench for anywhere between 8-15 minutes of action most nights. They both average about 5 points and 2 boards per contest, so they usually aren’t anything special in the scoring department. Regardless, I hope the Shockers send Dayton (and then Kentucky) packing.

#2 Kentucky – Quite possibly the most loathsome team in the country, Kentucky has admittedly been playing good ball as of late. John Calipari is a lying cheat who seems to be adored by the media, despite his last two programs being riddled with sanctions. You might feel nauseous after listening to announcers describing how chiseled and athletic the Wildcats’ latest class of freshman are. They have one white starter in three-point shooting senior forward Derek Willis. His minutes vary wildly, but it’s usually somewhere between 15-25 per game. He’s capable of a big game. Isaac Humphries 7’0 sophomore from Australia, will usually get about 5-10 minutes per game. His decision to sit behind such “amazing talent” at Kentucky has baffled me for two years now. Regardless, that’s the end of the road for any white players seeing time.

#15 Northern Kentucky – The Norse are going dancing in their first year eligible for the NCAA Tournament. They have three white starters in 6’7 sophomore forward Drew McDonald, 6’5 freshman forward Carson Williams, and 6’7 guard Cole Murray. McDonald is a stud who leads the Northern Kentucky in both scoring (16 PPG) and rebounding (8 RPG). Carson Williams is third in scoring (11 PPG) and second in rebounding (6 per game). He also has the best FG% on the team at nearly 60%. Cole Murray also does his fair share of scoring, at 10 per game. Most of Murray’s shots are threes, and he’s one of the best on the team, making over 40% of them. No white players see time of the bench for the Norse. I’m hoping these guys can play out of their minds for a game and knock off the Wildcats.

The South Region manages to be darker than the East, with really only two teams worth supporting: UCLA and Butler. Northern Kentucky is a good option as well, but they unfortunately won’t be around long. I think the winner of the likely UCLA/Kentucky Sweet 16 matchup will be the team from this region. I don’t think UNC (while very good) is the Final Four lock the experts hype them up to be, and could see them potentially losing to Butler in the Sweet 16. If you’re looking for 1st round upsets, Middle Tennessee, Wichita State, and the play-in game winner are all good candidates.

Given the two regions so far, I think I've found out where most of the whiter teams ended up.

West Region

#1 Gonzaga – Mark Few has the Zags dancing for the 19th straight year. Recently, Few’s teams have alternated between white-friendly, and not so much. This is one of those not so much squads, although the future looks bright. Their two best white players are unfortunately pigeon-holed at the center positon. They are two good ones though. 7’0 senior Przemek Karnowski is an absolute beast. He’s a mountain of a man, but has slimmed down a bit this year and is very quick on his feet. He’s second on the Zags in both scoring (12.6PPG) and rebounding (6 per game). He’s become one of Gonzaga’s best players. Usually filling in for Karnowski is bouncy 7’0 freshman Zach Collins. Collins is a bit different than Karnowski; being a lot more quick, athletic, and agile than the senior. He brings an entirely different game against opposing defenses. Despite playing only 15-20 minutes in a given game, he’s fourth in scoring (10.6 PPG) and 3rd in rebounding (a shade under 6 per game). The other white freshman that gets time is agile forward Killian Tillie. Tillie has been playing 10+ minutes per game, and he’ll be a good one next year. He can play both inside and out, and has the highest 3pt.% of anyone in the regular rotation at 47%. In any other region, these Zags might not be a bad choice, but it’s going to be hard to root for them in any of the games they’ll be playing.

#16 South Dakota State – The Jackrabbits upset their way to the Summit League autobid, defeating the regular season champions, South Dakota, as well as they #3 seed Nebraska Omaha to punch their ticket. The Jackrabbits have four white starters this season. Actually, this might be the worst South Dakota State team in a few years at least record-wise, but they are still VERY dangerous. This is due to Mike Daum. Daum, a 6’9 sophomore forward who's had the highest scoring Division 1 game this year with 53 points, is one of the most dominate players in the country. He’s currently second in nation in PPG, averaging over 25 per game!! He also leads the Jackrabbits in rebounding at 8.2 per game. He’s an inside out player, shooting threes at over 41%, and he’s also clutch from the free throw line, shooting over 87%. Daum is a mismatch problem who’ll give Gonzaga fits, and he gives SDSU a chance in any game they play. After Daum, their next best player is small forward Reed Tellinghuisen. The 6’7 junior is second in both scoring (12 PPG) and rebounding (4.7). His shooting has been a little off this year, but when he’s on, Tellinghuisen is deadly from anywhere on the court, able to knock down threes in bunches as well as get to the basket. Tellinghuisen is also a great defender, and is 1st on the team on blocks and 2nd in steals. Guards AJ Hess and Michael Orris make up the rest of the white contingent in the starting lineup, putting in 10 and 8 points per game respectively. They’re both decent defenders and “glue guys” for the main two players on the team. Orris is first on the team with 4 assists per game. The two white Jacks you’ll see off the bench are forward Ian Theisen and wing Lane Severyn. If Daum and Tellinghuisen both play well, these guys have a chance against Gonzaga. It’s not likely, but possible: this could be the #16 seed to make history. They’ve got a better chance than most.

#8 Northwestern – You’ve undoubtedly heard it by now: this is the first time Northwestern has been to the Big Dance. They faltered a bit down the stretch, but still won a couple games in the Big Ten Tournament to get an 8 seed. This team revolves around point guard Bryant McIntosh, who’s the team leader, only white starter, and the main reason the Wildcats are in the Dance. McIntosh is the Wildcats leading scoring (14 PPG) and also their leading assist man (5.2 per game). His shooting percentage has been down, but he’s still capable of lighting it up. The Wildcats bring two white players off the bench in forwards Gavin Skelly and Nathan Taphorn. Skelly is the “energy” guy who does the dirty work and is capable of stuffing a stat sheet, and Taphorn is in the game to shoot threes, which he does very well, leading the team in 3 point FG% at 45%. Skelly and Taphorn have been getting about 15-20 minutes per game lately, making Northwestern a decent team to root for, if they weren’t in this bracket.

#9 Vanderbilt – The Commodores caught fire late in the season, winning seven of their last nine to play their way into the Tournament. Their 3 game sweep of Florida comprises most of their good wins, and is the reason they got in. These guys live and die by the three-point shot, and have been making them in most recent games. The Commodores reshuffled their lineup during the season, and currently have three white starters. The highlight of the group is 7’1 senior forward Luke Kornet. Kornet is very athletic and agile, able to play a lot of different ways. He’s second on the team in both scoring (13 PPG) and rebounding (6.2 RPG). He’s also a great defender, easily leading the team in blocks with 68 on the season, which averages out to 2 per game. Kornet is a great free throw shooter, and is able to step out and shoot threes as well. Point guard Riley LaChance has been playing some of the best basketball of his career lately. The junior leads the Commodores is 3 point %, shooting nearly 50% from beyond the arc! He’s also a great passer, averaging nearly 4 assists per game, again leading the team. The third white starter is guard Nolan Cressler, a senior from Cornell who ascended into the starting lineup midway through the season. He leads the team in FG%(52%) and is second in 3pt. % (43%). He can knock down some big shots for Vanderbilt. No whites play off of the bench for the Commodores. These guys all play 24+ minutes per game, making Vanderbilt a team to support.

#5 Notre Dame – The Fighting Irish are playing great ball again under Mike Brey, and have been on fire lately following a mid-season lineup reshuffle. Notre Dame will start three white players, and will often have four on the court for periods of the game. The best of which is senior guard Steve Vasturia. Vasturia has been a mainstay for the Irish since his freshman year, and has only gotten better. He’s a great defender, and is also a double digit scorer at 13.3 PPG. He hurts you in a variety of ways, whether it’s driving to the basket or by the three point shot. Matt Farrell is one of the main reasons why Notre Dame has been so good. The firey junior point guard is one of the most improved players in the country, and is averaging 14.4 PPG on the offensive end. He also leads the team in assists at 5.5 per game! He’s a deadly outside shooter as well, able to rain threes down on opposing defenses. Bouncy sophomore Rex Pflueger began starting during the middle of the season, and has been the “glue guy” for the most part this year. He’s been a mainstay in the lineup, and plays lockdown defense, but can ball when given the chance. Off the bench for Notre Dame are forward Matt Ryan, the 3 point sniper, and Martinas Geben, who started for a good chunk of the year before being benched as Notre Dame went to smaller lineup. Both Ryan and Geben have been playing a bit more as of late, and have been playing good. Center Bonzie Colson is only 6'6, but is actually really fun to watch as he navigates and scores against players much taller than him. The Irish are a great free-throwing shooting team, hitting from the charity stripe at 81%. Notre Dame is one of our best teams to support; go Irish!

#12 Princeton – The Tigers went undefeated in Ivy League play and have been playing good ball, surviving the loss of two of their best players in Henry Caruso and Hans Brase. Princeton still has three white starters, although their depth has taken a hit without those two. The Tigers still have two all Ivy League players in forwards Steven Cook and Spencer Weisz. Both of these guys are double digit scorers, and are the team’s two leading rebounders. They can hurt you in a variety of ways on offense, while playing good defense on the other end. These two will usually be the only white players on the court, as senior center Pete Miller and his backup Will Gladson combine for about 24 minutes. They aren’t anything special, since they get eschewed for a five-guard lineup more often than not. I’d be cheering for Princeton if they were playing nearly anyone else but Notre Dame.

#4 West Virginia – Bob Huggins and “Press” Virginia have had a great season. As the name states, the Mountaineers’ game is predicated on pressing and forcing the tempo. Nathan Adrian is the only white starter, and the only white man who sees significant time. I’m glad to see Adrian carved out a good role for himself this year, averaging 10 PPG and leading the team in rebounding at 6 per game. Barring foul trouble, he’ll be the only white guy you see on the court for WVU. No need to ever cheer for this team, especially in this bracket.

#13 Bucknell – I’ve not seen the Patriot League Champs play this year, so I can’t comment from personally watching on how they play. They do have two white starters in point guard Kimbal MacKenzie and stat stuffing forward Zach Thomas, who’s the team’s leading scorer at 16 PPG. Both of these guys are among the best players on the team. Three white guys come off the bench in the Bison’s ten deep. Those are: center Nate Sestina, guard Matt O’Reilly, and forward DJ Macleay. They play a slower tempo than West Virginia, and if they can control that and avoid committing turnovers, they have a chance to pull the upset.

#6 Maryland – The Terps have had a very inconsistent year and are hard to predict, mostly due to the fact that their “star” Melo Trimble is a ball hog, although less so than previous years. Maryland has one white starter in freshman phenom guard Kevin Huerter. He’s a great athlete, and is fourth on the team at 9.0 PPG. He can also get up, having blocked a Georgetown shot at the buzzer to preserve a win earlier in the year. Due to injury to forward Michel Cekovsky, Ivan Bender is the lone white man who comes off the bench for Maryland, but his minutes have been steadily increasing as of late. He’s becoming a better player down low, and has had games where he’s been in double digits in scoring. Bender is actually second on the team in FG% at 66%. Given their inconsistent season, they’d normally be ripe for an upset pick, but the 11 seed they’ll be playing has been much worse down the stretch.

#11 Xavier – The Musketeers lost guard Edmond Sumner to injury, and have been in absolute free fall down the standings as of late, going from a 4-5 seed to squarely on the bubble, with only a win against Butler in the Big East tournament and avoiding losing to DePaul keeping them in the field. The Musketeers have one white starter in mercurial guard JP Macura. Macura can absolutely light up opposing defenses from three, and is one of Xavier’s best players. Or he can be cold and not factor in very much. Center Sean O’Mara comes off the bench, and has been playing well in limited minutes, usually getting a few baskets in his time on the court. He’s a tough out on the blocks. Their only non-Depaul win in over a month has been Butler, and this is clearly a team trending the wrong direction. They aren’t going far.

#3 Florida State – The last time FSU was in the tournament, they actually played three white guys for large amounts of time, with one of them even been one of the Seminoles’ best players. This time around? Leonard Hamilton has put the ax on any white boys seeing meaningful time on his roster! They play no whites in their 12 deep. Sometimes however, shooter Brandon Allen may sneak past the coaching staff and check himself in as the 13th man for a couple of minutes. This odious team is one to avoid.

#14 Florida Gulf Coast – Former Kansas assistant Joe Dooley has really blackened this team up from the Andy Enfield and Dunk City days. One white athlete in the super-athletic guard Christian Terrell starts. He’ll more than likely be the only white player seeing the court. Freshman guard Christian Carlyle may see a little time, or not. Hopefully they can make themselves useful and knock off the Seminoles.

#7 St. Mary’s – The only all-white starting 5 in the tournament is a good one. Randy Bennett has the Gaels back in the Tournament after getting shafted last year. If you’re a fan of team ball, watch the Gaels. They are a very methodical team who don’t turn it over and can hurt you in a variety of ways. They are led by super center Jock Landale, who leads the Gaels in scoring (17 PPG) and rebounding (9.3 RPG). He’s a great low post player, and often dominates his competition on the blocks. St. Mary’s has a great backcourt filled with two good players in senior Joe Rahon and junior Aussie Emmett Naar. The Gaels are the only team in the country that has two people averaging over 5 assists per game in Rahon (5.7) and Naar (5.8). They are also good scorers, each putting in between 9 and 10 PPG on average. Forwards Calvin Hermanson and Evan Fitzner round out the starting 5 for St. Mary’s. These guys are the team’s main three point shooters, with Hermanson taking the most on the team and converting them at a good (44%) rate. Fitzner also shoots 44% from three. Off the bench, senior forward Dane Pineau provides a great spark for the Gaels in the low post, averaging 7 and 6. Guard Tanner Krebs and forward Kyle Clark can also shoot it and round out the regular rotation. St. Mary’s is a fun team that makes you defend for 30 seconds and plays great team ball, always seeming to find the open man, especially on cuts towards the basket, or kicking it out for an open three. The Gaels have the potential to make the Sweet 16, and I hope it happens. As the only all-white starting five in the tourney, go Gaels!!

#10 VCU – In perhaps the starkest caste matchup that’s been played in the NCAA Tournament in quite some time, all-white St. Mary’s will be going up against all-black VCU, who prefers to recruit their players from ghettos around the country. Outside of one Egyptian, there’s no other non-black players, and certainly no room for any white players, as they would take away from the “amazing diversity” of this team. There’s not even a GPA-boosting white walk-on to be seen on this team of alleged student-athletes. The only white guy you’ll see for this team is head cuck(coach) Will Wade. Of course, VCU still plays their “havoc” style of play that a white team would foul out in one half playing. They love to press, which usually involves grabbing and other overly physical play that is of course not called. If St. Mary’s can slow the game down on these guys, they’re done. I don’t think there’s another game I want more this weekend than this one. Go Gaels!! I hope these racists are on the flight home after their first game.

#2 Arizona – The Wildcats are a trendy Final Four pick, and for good reason. They have played great basketball most of the year, and just won the Pac-12. They play some good defense to go along with good offense. Arizona has two white starters, who are two of the better players on the team. The best player on this team is freshman sensation Lauri Markkanen. The 7’0 freshman sensation from Finland is truly the entire package, and will likely be off to the NBA next season. He’s second on the team in scoring at over 15 PPG, and gets his points both inside and from beyond the arc. Markkanen also leads the team in rebounding at over 7 RPG. He’s got great handles for a big man as well. He’s the key for Arizona this year. If he plays well, the Wildcats advance. If he doesn’t, they could lose next round. The other white starter is 7’0 center Dusan Ristic. Ristic is a solid player in the low post, averaging over 10 PPG, to go along with nearly 6 boards per game. Besides these two, no other white players see the floor. However, Markkanen’s star power makes this squad worthwhile to root for.

#15 North Dakota – Unlike the other three Dakota schools, North Dakota does not see it fit to recruit many white athletes that the other three schools have had success with, nor give much playing time to the ones they do get. The winners of the Big Sky start exactly one in forward Conner Avants. Center Carson Shanks gets a few minutes off the bench. That ends the involvement of white players for the politically correct “Fighting Hawks.” The only thing in this team’s future is pain.

Clearly, most of the white teams have been pigeon-holed into this bracket. Out of 16 teams, there’s 29 white starters, to go with many more guys off the bench! Only VCU and Florida State are completely all-black teams in this bracket. The fairest 1 seed in Gonzaga is here, along with St. Mary’s, Notre Dame, Arizona, Vanderbilt, Northwestern, South Dakota State, Princeton, Bucknell, and even Maryland. These are all decent choices to support. I’m thinking the teams with the best chance in the West are: Arizona, Notre Dame, and Gonzaga. The Irish aren’t a bad sleeper pick to the Final Four, while St. Mary’s could get to the Sweet 16 or Elite Eight. I feel the most likely scenario is Arizona winning the region, but that’s why they play the games.

1. Kansas
- Kansas features one white starter and several whites who sit together at the end of the bench. Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk, a 6’8 Ukranian shooting guard, is a starter and legitimate contributor. Freshman Mitch Lightfoot was the Arizona player of the year in high school and may conceivably be given some playing time in the future, although not this year. Coach Bill Self has been very successful at Kansas and has deflected criticism this season as several of his black players have weathered in-season arrests without much tangible punishment. The Jayhawks have lucked into a pretty easy draw. At least the Ukranian provides some respite from the same old song and dance.

16. UC Davis - The UC Davis Aggies won the play-in game rights to get pasted on Friday. The Aggies start sophomore shooting guard Siler Schneider and play power forward Mikey Henn off the bench. This team doesn’t have the size to play with Kansas and can’t shoot from outside particularly well.

8. Miami - The Hurricanes are a run-of-the-mill caste team. Freshman Dejan Vasiljevic, an off-guard from Australia, gets himself onto the court for just less than half the game. There are a couple of walk-ons stuck to the bench. Coach Jim Larranaga has a history of overachieving in the tournament but is stuck with poor shooters this go-round.

9. Michigan State - Tom Izzo’s team always seems to make the tournament even in down years. The Spartans scheduled a bunch of difficult opponents during the regular season and lost all of those games, qualifying by basically holding serve at home in the Big Ten. This season’s Spartan roster is nothing special. Freshman Matt McQuaid has some solid deep range and plays a valuable twenty minutes per game. There are a couple of white walk-ons at the end of the bench. Little reason to suspect any March magic from this mediocre bunch.

5. Iowa St - The Cyclones start shooting guard Matt Thomas, who garnered All-Big 12 honorable mention this season despite being exactly fourth in the team in points, rebounds, assists, and steals per game. Thomas shoots 44% from deep and has hit his season high of 25 points twice. Two other white “scrubs” don’t get off the bench.

12. Nevada - The Wolfpack are a terrible caste team. Their top ten players by minutes per game are black and their bottom four are white. Tough to root for an upset with this putrid bunch.

4. Purdue - The Boilermakers feature some impressive talent. Three of the top seven contributors are white, including behemoth center Isaac Haas, marksman guard Ryan Cline, and distributor Dakota Mathias. All three average more than half the game in playing time, and oft-injured transfer guard Spike Albrecht spells in for another twelve or so minutes. Due to their massive size down low and three-point proficiency, Purdue matches up well with just about anyone and may have the best chance at knocking off Kansas.

13. Vermont - The Catamounts are very white-friendly, so logically they would draw another such team in the first round. Vermont employs three white starters and plays three whites off the bench. Forward Payton Henson has the highest usage rate of the bunch, filling the stat sheet with over eleven points, five boards, and a lofty 52% field goal percentage. This is the hottest team in the tournament, sitting on a 21-game winning streak. Vermont doesn’t depend on the three but is tremendously accurate inside the arc, shooting almost 50% from the floor. The size of Purdue’s two bigs will test them.

6. Creighton - The Bluejays seem to employ a completely casteon “line shift” of sorts: their starters are all black, but five whites play off the bench in a deep rotation. Creighton is an excellent shooting team that gives them a puncher’s chance in the bracket if they get hot. Hopefully coach Greg McDermott keeps consistent with this roster composition going forward.

11. Rhode Island - The Rams seem like a competent 11-seed. However, they play only black players, with two white freshmen seeing no meaningful minutes from their view on the end of the bench. Pass on this racist team.

3. Oregon - The Ducks play two white guards off the bench. Casey Benson and freshman Payton Pritchard both contribute big minutes in a thin rotation. Oregon has a white walk-on and an Israeli jew stashed on the bench, along with a several fair-skinned mulattoes that might fool at first glance. The Ducks are stretched thin by an injury to their big man, so expect a small-ball lineup and a possible early exit.

14. Iona - The Iona Gaels “feature” two white players from far-off lands. Czech swing forward Jan Svandrlik chips in less than ten minutes per game. Austrian freshman Luka Milosavljevic rides the splintery pine. I’m not sure that New Rochelle is much of a dream destination for white NYC/Long Island kids, but it’s disappointing that this school can’t do better.

7. Michigan - Michigan enters the tournament hot and features sophomore big man Moritz Wagner. The lanky German teen draws accurate comparisons to Dirk Nowitzki. He’s deadly on the high screen and can completely neutralize a heavier center with his outside shot with no fear of driving the lane into the space created by his shooting range. Super sixth man Duncan Robinson is one of the best shooters in college and has more to his game than simply spotting up. Expect the Wolverines to play one white player in a significant role at all times and two for a bit more than half the game.

10. Oklahoma St. - OK State is coach Brad Austin’s first power conference foray after leading perennial white-friendly upset candidate SF Austin into multiple NCAA tournaments. The Cowboys are trending toward a very enjoyable roster, starting two whites and playing two others in a deep rotation, with several others filling the end of the bench. Phil Forte is a dynamo shooting guard at just 5’11 who can and will shoot from anywhere. Mitchell Solomon is a bit undersized at center but is a capable rim protector.

2. Louisville - Serial philanderer Rick Pitino brings another squad of blacks to the tournament this year. The Cardinals have three whites stashed on the end of their bench. Senior guard David Levitch actually plays about ten minutes a game, having earned a scholarship for the year after walking on.

15. Jax. State - The Jacksonville State Gamecocks roster is a minstrel show. The sole white player on the entire squad is a starting center, the Lithuanian behemoth Norbertas Giga, who averages 10 pts and 8 rbs in a heart of darkness. Expect him to be overwhelmed.

Sixteen teams and just ten white starters. I’d recommend tuning in for the Michigan - Oklahoma State game and the Purdue - Vermont clash. Creighton has a big caste matchup against Rhode Island despite not starting any white players. Kansas will be clear favorites in all their games and this is probably their region to lose. Hopefully one of the aforementioned teams can knock them off, although Mykhailiuk is a fine player.

Good write-up, Phall! So it looks like, once again, all of the white teams were stashed into one bracket. This has the potential to be a good tournament for our guys, but outside of the West, our teams will have to win their games, as there's nobody else to step up, especially for Wisconsin, Virginia, Duke, Butler, UCLA, Purdue, and Michigan/OK State. But if some of our teams lose, this tournament could be of no interest to us by the Elite Eight. I hate the fact that the best two white-friendly mid-majors, Princeton and Vermont, both on HUGE winning streaks, get stuck matching up against two of the better white-friendly teams in the tourney in Notre Dame and Purdue. One of them couldn't have matched up against Iowa State, Florida, Florida State, Baylor? The selection committee does this every. single. year. I suppose that the selection committee didn't want their precious 4 and 5 star upside-laden talent getting exposed like always seems to happen most years. The only solid Cinderella caste matchups are Northern Kentucky and Bucknell against Kentucky and West Virginia.

All-black Providence and racist Ed Cooley just got knocked out of the tourney. Didn't watch the game, but Nick Rackocevic had 9 points for the Trojans. Also, HBCU North Carolina Central got beat in the other play-in game.

Good results so far!! Notre Dame holds off Princeton, with help from Farrell's 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists and also Vasturia's 10 and 8 help as well.

White-friendly Virginia held off all-black UNC Wilmington to win as well. UNC Wilmington was a "trendy" upset pick by the experts. I wonder why?

Butler is currently all over Winthrop 62-45 with 6 minutes left in the 2nd half.

SDSU is giving Gonzaga a game as well in the 1/16 matchup.

Mulatto on Vandy commits an idiotic foul on McIntosnh with his team up by one with 17 seconds to go, and they lose the game. Absolutely unbelievable, but not at all surprising.

Is it common for the committee to make all the white friendly teams play each other early in the tournament ? Geez I can't believe they would stoop that low. As if things aren't bad enough for us already

The announcer was just indignant that the Saint Mary's player wasn't called for a foul because he "put his hands on (the VCU player) first." Are you fu* *ing kidding me? VCU puts their hands all over the St. Mary's players every time down the floor. That's what "havoc" is all about. What a total joke.

It sure does seem that way over the last 3-5 years. Maybe it goes further back than that but I wasn't playing any specific attention. At least not enough to definitively say. Most would chalk the grouping of White teams up to pure coincidence but there is really no such thing when it comes to statistical improbabilities. Like the percentages of Whites drafted in the NFL year after year remaining eerily similar, there are likely some nefarious hands molding results more to their liking. Would anyone be surprised if the committee was over represented with echo-bergs?

Yep. This is usually common practice, at least since I've been following it. I don't know if it's intentional, or due to the white teams usually being in the same geographic region (which a lot of them are). I know I've posted about it, and it happens in a few instances every year. Notre Dame/Princeton and Purdue/Vermont are examples of it this year.

St. Mary's up 10 right now with under 4 minutes left. Joe Rahon has played well since coming back in with 4 fouls. The refs have actually been calling VCU's fouls (surprisingly). Usually teams like VCU get away with all of the hacking and grabbing they want. The Gaels need to hit their FTs though.

Jack, I think Payton Pritchard of Oregon has been starting since mid-season, so at least one less all black starting lineup out there.

You're right, but I don't blame Phall; I've barely watched Oregon this year, and they definitely aren't must-see TV from our perspective.

A few stats from today thus far:

Xavier big man Sean O'Mara had 18 points and 7 boards in the Musketeers' win against Maryland. Kevin Huerter led the Terps with 19 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds. He'll be a good one.

Donte DiVencenzo led Villanova with 21 points and also led the team in rebounding with 13!! Good game for the redshirt freshman.

Bryant McIntosh had 25 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists in Northwestern's win today!!

Butler's Tyler Lewis had 9 points and 8 assists as well in the Bulldogs' win over Winthrop.
