2017 NBA playoffs

One gigantic yawn. This pompous League has done so many things wrong the last several years I don't know where to start. They run an owner out of the League because he made a couple of racy comments in a private conversation no less making the NBA think of itself as some bastion of moral rightness. Give me a break. You have star players resting willy-nilly throughout the year. You have teams tanking like never before for draft positioning. Whereas the final games of the season should mean something as teams battle for playoff spots sadly the opposite occurred. The Miami Heat led by Groan Dragic, played their hearts out as their second half surge got them in playoff position. They won their last game in brave fashion only to see the two teams playing the teams they were battling for the final playoff position lay down and play dead basically letting the Bulls and Pacers slink into the playoffs. What a damn joke. Compromising the integrity of the game but in this half ass fake league no one seems to care. As the stacked Warriors head into the playoffs as a clear favorite there are a few guys ( emphasis on FEW) we like here to root for but overall is anyone here at caste excited about these playoffs? The media's weird infatuation with Russell Westbrook is sickening enough and I know a lot of white fans who have abandoned the NBA years ago but everything about this league feels so half dead and rotten these days. I think the NHL has a much better product these days but the media especially ESPN are in the back pockets of the NBA so there you have it. BOO is the only word I can think of when I think of the current NBA.

I'd totally ignore the Yo.B.A, but my middle son is a ball player & loosely follows the NBA (Kyle Korver is favorite). He knows about the caste system & thinks it's cool how y'all post the White players stats.

Marc Gasol is as good as any big man in the nba in my honest opinion on offense and defense. Total player.


I'm actually gonna watch the Jazz/Clippers Game. Should be entertaining featuring some of our guys.

The answer is NO! I've almost moved on to MLB, but I might pay some attention to Washington, Sunday as they added Bogdanovic to Gortat and had been playing Jason Smith more lately. As you know three white men getting ample playing time is rare! I guess we can look to Cleveland and Love/Korver to win. I didn't realize Joe Ingles is a white man. Now I have a little more interest in the Jazz. So pathetic that Hayward and basically one other white player in the rotation constitutes a "white friendly" team in the NBA in this day and age. Withey should get more playing time if Gobert is out with an injury. Dang man yeah Jingle Joe from down under has been a great sixth man for the Jazz this season. Earlier this season he was leading the league for 3 point percentage, much more than a shooter though. I noticed in some of his highlights he operates as a PG or point forward.

Yawn. The NHL playoffs are on and there has been some exciting finishes, MLB is going, and also the PGA Tour is starting to get into full swing. It's also nice outside, with the weather warming up. I see no reason to watch the NBA playoffs, besides maybe Hayward.

I am flipping between this and the Caps game. When I turned this game on the first time there were 5 white men on the court; 3 for Atlanta and 2 for Washington.

The Utah Jazz blew a huge game at home tonight. They had a good lead in the 4th quarter until a 13-0 run sent them to another loss. They are now down 2 games to 1 to the Clippers. Gordon Hayward was sensational with 41 points but he didn't get enough support from the rest of his team. The Jazz were also a little sloppy from the free throw line late in the game. They have to win game 4 at home if they are gonna have any chance to win this series. Hope they can bounce back from a heartbreaking loss!

41 for Hayward yet no mention of him on ESPN, more importantly they keep showing the weak ass highlight of Blake Griffin stubbing his toe after a routine layup.

Is there anything more worthless / more of a shekel grab than the first round of the NBA playoffs? Just for fun I looked back through the 2012 season and there have only been 2 real upsets (6 seed beating a 3), along with 5 times a 5 beat a 4. And these are all 7 game series' to boot

The contrast between the NHL and NBA is striking. There is a lot more parity in the NHL, resulting in a LOT of interesting 1st round series. I mean, just this year, the Predators upset the No.1 seed Blackhawks in the West. I mean, look at the 8 seeds in the NBA... they're garbage for the most part. The talent in the NBA is getting concentrated on fewer on fewer and fewer teams.

He had 26 points with a variety of shots and moves. He really does make it look easy and the Clippers are a very good team. Not too many experts predicted this upset. So it's on to the 2nd round of the playoffs. This is a team worth watching guys. I hope they continue to get another few of our guys in free agency and or the draft.
