Since 2005, Colorado State has started 15, 16, 17, 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8, 8, and 9 white starters.
Although preliminary depth charts looked good, expect a record low of just 7 starters his year
This will be the teams 6th season with an SEC OC at the helm and they have appeared to stabilized at decent, but not great numbers, after a few years of steady decline after the Fairchild and McElwain years.
Although, scoring has been on the rise, this is a team that has been without an offensive identity since Garrett Grayson left for the NFL a few seasons back, relying heavily on a few NFL prospects and a weakened defensive opponents as the MWC has severely blacked up the last half decade or so. They have struggled to find consistent quarterback play bouncing between Nick Stevens and Colin Hill. Stevens is set to get the nod this season.
Much to the objection of locals , the Rams will open up their new $300 million dollar on campus stadium this year, hosting the Beavers. Although fully funded by private donations, the response from the public, was fairly shocking and I think a sign of the times and the post-great recession world we live in with peoples views on football and best use of resources in general different that in the 90s and 2000's. Very few supported the project, which I think would have been a slam dunk during the Lubick years.
Offense
Zach Golditch - LT
Trae Moxley - LG
Jake Bennett - C
Nick Stevens - QB
Dalton Fackrell - TE (in a battle for the position)
Defense
Jakob Buys - DE
Evan Colorito - LB
Backups at key impact positions that could see considerable playing time include: Patrick Elsenbast (LB), Colton Foster (DL), Jake Schlager (S), Toby McBride (DE)
