Texas beats KSU in double overtime, 40-34.

True Frosh Texas QB Sam Ehlinger was 30/50 for 380 Yds and 2TD, 1 INT while rushing for 107 yards on 20 carries, for a combined 487 total yards.

Texas is worth watching just for him.

Y'all have an Eye for Talent! Yes indeed Joe Bachie really caught my attention last week vs. Iowa. Big time difference maker should be on the NFL Radar!

As good as Shane Beuchele had been....don't think he's getting the QB spot back from Sam Ehlinger!

Joel Lanning the Most Versatile Playe in CFB??

Quick recap...
Trey Quinn finshed with 17 receptions for 156 yards & TD...including a leaping one-handed snag ...will have to locate GIF; 32 Receptions in past 2 weeks ;)
David Sills....7 receptions fot 116 yards & 2 TD's...think he leads FBS with 9 TD catches
Former Walk-on Dalton Schoen had 5 receptions for 128 yards & 2 TD's; including 82 yarder where he turned on the jets w that Sneaky speed
Trever Ryen...4 rec for 99 yards & TD Game changer from 57 yards
Braxton Barrios 8 rec for 90 yards & 2 TD's
TE Tyler Conklin (Central Michigan) 10 rec for 136 yards & 2 TD's

Oh yeah...WR Dylan Collie(Hawaii) had 100 yards on 4 catches & TD last week..game too late

Freshman Mike Esptein had 83 yards rushing on just 7 carries...12 yd Avg.
Hopefully Ryan Nall & Cade Carney get healthy soon!
Good job on RB updates y'all....

Navy QB Zach Abey 214 yards rushing on 29 carries & 2 TD's; amongst the Leading Rushers in FBS

We need an official report on Cody Thompson's awful injury. Here is what we don't want to hear ---a torn ACL--- which will affect his NFL chances. What we want to hear is an ankle or even a broken leg or better yet a knee sprain. Bryce Harper had an awful looking injury that turned out not to be a torn ACL so let's hope.
That Michigan -Michigan State game was an old fashioned brawl. While State did not play any white DB's which was a disappointment both LB Bache and DE Willekes came up huge and the best part is they are only sophomores. Michigan's DE Chase Winovich continues to dominate the line of scrimmage.
Speaking of defense Nebraska fell apart once again and I think the clock is ticking on their head coach almost to the point similar to the Tennessee coach. That sure was weird seeing Iowa State recently turned LB play QB too--I thought I was seeing things but I am glad Oklahoma lost. They are one of the blackest teams goings apart from Mayfield and TE Andrews. Nice TD by Trever Ryen as he raced pass the Sooner D. More defensive news Clemson S Tanner Muse led his team in tackles with 8, one TFL and one QB hurry along with a great deep ball pass break up. If he continues on this upward spiral like I expect him to do he could be a top ten pick in 2019. WR Hunter Renfrow had a couple of nice plays and they have a back up Freshman QB named Hunter Johnson who came in at dust up time. One look and you say to yourself this guy looks the part. Terrific all around athlete. He has to wait in line but one to keep an eye on. Alabama LB Holcombe is used in speed situations and he always seem to come up big. Had a sack.
WR Dalton Schoen is only a sophomore and I was hoping they would beat basically all black Texas apart from their QB but Ertz had to leave the game and that hurt Kansas State. All in all another disappointing week where some of the key WR's like Will Hastings didn't get many looks but I was glad Iowa won and WR Matt V had a terrific TD where he showed off his wheels. WV WR Sills had a good game see above posts but like K State was disappointed they lost. The two DE's for Ohio State, Hubbard and Bosa, form the best duo in the country. They are terrific.
As is my new tradition I will finish up with Dudek. Rocky mentioned Yale RB's Dudek's line of 10-43 in a loss but he did catch 6 passes for 61 yards including a 22 yard TD.

K-State should have won that game. Schoen looked like a big-time receiver. Expect good things from this kid.

Ertz got nicked up, but not enough so he couldn't play, but Snyder replaced him with a black quarterback that perhaps was a slightly better runner, but not nearly as good a passer. K-State became one-dimensional and Texas stacked the line and stopped them, knowing that K-State couldn't beat them with their arm. Rare strategic mistake by coach Snyder.

Update on WR Cody Thompson's injury. He suffered a broken leg not an ACL tear. Now on average this is better news than an torn ACL. But the devil will be in the details. If it is a regular break it should not affect his draft status and he should be able to get back to full running speed. Keep our fingers crossed but so far at least not an ACL which DOES affect a player's speed. Again we need more details on the nature of the broken leg to determine his future prospects but as a WR who is listed on most NFL draft charts we need some good news here.
