Chasing my own tail once again. Time to talk big time football by which I mean the Yale Bulldogs. Ha. They open this Saturday but despite recent reports that WR Bo Hines was healthy and FINALLY ready to play for some reason Hines changed his mind and quit the football team. I know he is interested in politics and his name might crop up in that endeavor but I wasted my time following his every move after he transferred out of NC State. In desperation I ignored the giant RED FLAG that when a power conference player who tasted success suddenly decides to transfer to an IVY League School the writing is pretty much on the wall that the NFL is not the first thing on his mind. No ill will towards the guy but I blame myself for not thinking it through. On a brighter note for Yale, star freshman RB Zane Dudek, you know the guy Penn State told to go to hell, might get playing time earlier than expected due to a season ending injury. He is listed as roughly the number 2 RB on the depth chart. Based on what I am hearing he is going to tear up the Ivy League.
Where is the old fashioned Nebraska mind set where an 8-4 season is nothing less than a disgrace? For reasons unknown to anyone with a brain they extended Mike Riley's contract through the 2020 season. He is on schedule to eliminate white skill position players and in general I can't remember when Nebraska had so many starting black players. Nor do I remember them ever being this bad. So far Riley is 16-12 at Nebraska. Give me a break. Everybody talks about how nice he is but he is a caste guy who is over his head at Nebraska. They gave up 42 points last week against Oregon. In the old days Nebraska used to give up 42 points over the course of half a season.
The ND coach is on the hot seat. Another 8-4 year from them and he most likely will be canned. He did a terrible job last week against GA.

Matchup that sticks out to me is New Miss vs Cal late Saturday night. Really looking forward to seeing Laird and white friendly Cal kicking SEC afflete ass.

Wisconsin has a chance to stay undefeated and drop poly heavy BYU..I watched some of Cougars game last week against the Utes and their offense is abysmal! Could be a long year for them led by their poly coach.

Illinois travels to South Fl (hopefully it doesn't get cancelled) Friday night (BSPN)....
Epstein and Dudek looking good...

Can Tim McVey of Air Force get some good yards vs Michigan?????

My eyes will be on Nall, as well as Davidson....it kills me to see them sit......

We are all psyched up about Laird....

Shadowlight is right about Zane Dudek, he's a beast....Shame on Penn St and Pitt

Ditto about Riley. He comes off as having an "awww shucks" type personality, which fits the mold Nebraskans like, but that's being used as friendly barter with the fans in exchange for their acceptance of replacing the White players on the team..."well, at least we don't have a psycho 'hot head' like Pelini anymore...he was never a 'good fit' for Nebraska".

Wasn't Riley the head coach at Oregon State when all of those sexual assault and rape allegations were happening?

The Nebraska AD is a cuck and doesn't understand the "Art of the Deal" by giving him a year extension without him having to do anything in return to earn it...in fact he did it right after the loss to Oregon (WTF?). They should just let him fulfill his contract obligation and if he doesn't pan out, see if Scott Frost is available, who seems to have been integral in Oregon's success and is currently turning the UCF program around. Frost said he was never even contacted by Nebraska when they were in a search to replace Pelini. In some of the White recruits I've tracked, UCF was going after some of them.

Cougars offense looks terrible and Tanner Mangum looks like he's regressed. BYU's offense used to light it up, whether it was the pass-happy one under Lavell Edwards or the multiple under Mendenhall. OC Ty Detmer needs to step it up. There's some talk of Beau Hoge starting in place of Mangum.

By the way, that's Beau Hoge, Merrill's boy, that may step in at BYU....Wish they would have recruited him as a runner.....Old dad had some good games back in the day......

I think he was recruited while Mendenhall was the coach as a dual-threat QB, if I remember correctly. If so, I wonder how he'll fit into Detmer's scheme.

Oklahoma St - Pitt - Mason Rudolphs march towards national recognition and the Heisman conversation continues

USC-Texas - Darnold will be on a national stage and hopefully shred the Texas defense and embarrass Tom Herman

Wyoming-Oregon - great qb battle - Josh Allen gets a chance to redeem himself against a power 5 team and boost his draft stock. Justin Herbert has come out and looked like a future 1st round pick himself for the ducks.

Ole Miss - Cal - Qb Shea Patterson looks like he may be one of the best in the country. Laird running against the new miss affletic defense will be fun to watch too

To follow up on Heretic's conversation about schools like Nebraska and BYU it seems to me the very engine that drove those programs to greatness has been disrupted. Granted BYU has a decent defense but a lot of that has to do with the several white players including a few white DB's. But the days of BYU white skill players on offense running, especially WR's, around like crazy and piling up big points has been pushed aside for a bland middle of the road grinding style that is unbefitting of their legacy. And of course most of their skill position players today are non white.
Nebraska of course, historically one of the greatest football programs in the NCAA, doesn't at all resemble the great Nebraska teams of yore. Those winning teams were mainly built around a core of tough farm kids who liked to play a rugged style of defense and an unstoppable offense mainly centered around an exciting running game that usually featured a quick QB like say Eric Crouch. And they almost always had terrific quick edge players on D like Trev Alberts and Grant Winstrom. And these young players were proud of their team and state and would play there hearts out every Saturday. Their defenses were notoriously ferocious.
In my mind it is no coincidence that the program has fallen on tougher times. Sure they have been better than average but that was never the goal of Nebraska football where nothing short of a title shot was deemed a disappointment.
As Heretic points out, after the unpopular Pelini they bring in a coastal prissy type in Mike Riley. Riley sticks to the popular Florida State model of bringing in black athletes from all over. It all ends up looking like the caste dream. Most all of the edge D players are black with no white DB's to be seen for miles and the skill position players on O are almost all black. This year he has a drop back white QB to get the ball to the "stud" black WR"s. But none of it registers or feels right. Where is the country blood and guts that used to be a hallmark of the Cornhuskers? The Riley way is essentially the Florida State way where the whites and blacks are placed in their "appropriate" positions and while it may work for Florida State that way just does not mesh with Nebraska which is why it seems to me the program is doomed for failure.

#18 Kansas State at Vanderbilt -- Both teams played cupcakes in their opening two games. This will likely be a competitive game and perhaps a nail-biter.

Purdue at Missouri -- Interested to see what Herdman and Anthrop do to the all-blacks of Mizzou.

Central Michigan at Syracuse -- Two starting black receivers down, one for the season and one for 4 or 5 weeks, replaced by two other fellas. Interested to see how Shane Morris and the offense performs. Hessbrook could have a good game. CMU needs to play solid defense as well.

So I get home and flip on this game. There have been penalties on 5 straight plays between the 2 teams. One can see that these negro coached teams are well disciplined.

I wanna see our guys on Illinois but this sloppy game is brutal to watch.

Illinois is horrible on defense but it's the offense that makes me tune in and watch.

They just brought in Jeff George Jr at quarterback. For the older guys here at the board they
will remember his father. He had one of the strongest arms of any nfl qb ever. That is a fact. He
had an up and down career but his kid seems to have the same gentics as far as arm strength. I
hope they stick with him the rest of the year and let the kid grow into the position. With George Jr,
Epstein and Dudek they are a fun team to watch. They just need to learn how to play defense!

Illinois is on the field with the ball, and the cuck announcer promptly begins drooling over their "good
looking" tight end. said negro tight end promptly drops a pass on 2 of the next 4 plays, which sandwiches a "drive" wherein another upsider catches a pass for
first down yardage but affletically runs backwards to dynamically lose the first down. such game changing talents they are!

i change games to check out the Arizona-UTEP matchup, and AZ trots out a "phenomenal talent" at black quarterback who has the following scouting report: running back skills but bad footwork and inaccurate passing ability. i turned off the idiot box and am headed to bed.

Watched the first half of Illinois v South Florida. Charlie Strong v Hatie Smiff's teams were setting all kinds of records for most penalties. Epstein looked electric, but Illinois wouldn't run the ball, and he got a team high 8 carries.

Ohio's AJ Oeulette had a 63 yard run in the first quarter...Ticked off that I missed that.....Of coarse, the other two backs have gotten the carries since....

Riley Ferguson is currently out dueling the Chosen One Rosen. Memphis is dark but I'm enjoying them keeping UCLA and their 4/5 star recruits on their heels.
