WR Riley Lees with 78-yard punt return for TD for Northwestern.
Bunch of B.S. they took the TD away due to some NU player barely pushing a Purdue player when he was already out-of-bounds. They called it "showboating". Makes no sense. Complete Caste B.S.
I am starting my weekly grumbling rambling Week 11 wrap up with what Heretic (always sharp as a tack) mentioned regarding freshman Riley Lees and his SPECTACULAR punt return. The call was so HORRIFIC I had nightmares all night long I kid you not. This call illustrates the ugliness of caste and refs right at the forefront and if I was the Northwestern Coach I would have lost it completely. And it isn't as if I play both sides. When I see a head shot most all of the time I think the offender gets what he deserves white or black. But this vaguely near the sidelines block/push which was not even a real HIT and didn't affect the run back whatsoever gets flagged late as Lees was well on his way to a TD. It ruined what should have been the coming out party for Freshman Lees who has a lot of talent. It goes down as the WORST and most DISURBING call of the season. They would never flag a player if it was a black dude running for a TD. Those refs should be fired for ruining a young player's season. Lees has had some trouble getting on track this season but this run back was so brilliant and offered a glimpse into the future it should have been the MOMENT for him. Instead those bastards STOLE away his glory in the most despicable fashion. Not too long ago in the NFL section La France had alluded to these flags that negate either a long gain or a flashy TD from a white skill player and this latest episode reinforces the idea that refs are trained to believe white skill players are not any good so most of their huge plays according to their bastard book of rules should be negated by a flag. So sick of this CRAP.
At least some good news coming out of Georgia Tech. However they almost blew the game which is common when a team's white skill players come up big. There was a floating pass that a VT player caught amidst a sea of worthless black GT DB's. I said to myself the odds of a VT player catching the ball were nearly ZERO yet that's what happened. As mentioned above Cottrell ripped off some big runs on his way to 83 yards on just 3 carries and WR Brad Stewart their main PR, caught a blow by 60 yard TD pass. Odd stat of the game. The GT QB completed just two passes but both were for long TD's. Even their white LB Mitchell came up big with a bevy of tackles .Key WR's Sills ( another two TD's including the best catch of the season see posts above) and Trey Quinn didn't have bad days but their numbers were still a bit disappointing. A holding pattern kind of week for them. Thankfully speedster WR Andy Isabella had another great day see 22 stat board above.
Super glad Georgia went down in flames but WR Will Hastings was completely ignored. Speaking of calls Alabama got a bogus interference call late but on that drive they missed the field goal. Bama LB Keith Holcombe was solid as usual. At least Miss State played hard. Notre Dame looked like garbage and now I figure Notre Dame and Georgia were way overrated. Which make Miami's win not as great as the media thinks it was as they now are the ESPN caste wonders now that Georgia went home with their tale between their legs.
Again mentioned above Iowa State's versatile WR/PR Trever Ryen was knocked out late with a head shot which might have cost Iowa State the game. Sadly emerging Kansas Sate WR Dalton Schoen also had to leave his game with an apparent shoulder injury. Would like to see Baker Mayfield run more often but the Heisman is his to lose. WR Dylan Cantrell had another solid outing with a 11-94 stat line.
Big Ten--Michigan State looked asleep accept for DE Willekes. Hubbard and Bosa continue to dominate the line see above posts. MI's Winovich had 4 TFL's. Also great to see RB Barkley continue to put up measly stats and once again S Troy Apke was superb. And Penn State started a white LB for a change. They stuffed Rutgers. No NFL buzz on Apke which is a shame. He has great wheels and is improving each and every week one big play after another.
As for Nebraska that coach was "fired" a few weeks ago but I do not want Scott Frost based on his caste team at UCF. Terribly disappointed in Iowa. But Wisconsin's earlier win over Northwestern looks better and better and the so called "experts" now admit if they run the table they have to be in the final four. No kidding idiots.
Northwestern continues to play well with their white WR's and their QB Thorson looks like a solid NFL starter down the road. Great form. Excellent athlete too. He made a pass rolling left and threw it across his body right on the money with mustard.
No need to go into detail about the great Yale RB Dudek. He won the game but in that same game see above, Princeton WR Jesper Horstead continues to put up huge numbers. The BIG ONE is Saturday as Yale plays Harvard for the conference title something Yale hasn't won in nearly 40 years. GO ZUDEK!!!
