Va Tech got a gift on that last drive - PI was called on an uncatchable ball thrown out of bounds. The kicker missed the FG.

You do realize the media perceives Rosen as the prototypical white pocket passer correct? The same type of passer that the media is trying to get rid of and replace. Religion and Race are two different things.

Weenieworld doing some good fake news about Will Grier's performance last night:
West Virginia redshirt junior QB Will Grier completed 31-of-53 passes for 371 yards, three touchdowns and an interception in Sunday's 31-24 loss to Virginia Tech.
This was Grier's first game since October, 2015, as he was suspended for the back half of that campaign with Florida due to a positive PED test. He then transferred to the Mountaineers and sat out the past campaign to satisfy NCAA transfer regulations. Despite the long, long layoff, early returns -- in a relatively inefficient performance -- are that he's a nice fit with HC Dana Holgorsen's Air Raid. He'll put up numbers this year. West Virginia will host ECU next weekend in what should be a considerably easier affair than Sunday night's battle with the Hokies.

After A&M's starting (White) Freshman QB hurt his leg in the game, instead of going with White Senior QB Jake Hubenak who started last year and completed 59% of his passes, Sumlin went with a true Freshman black quarterback. So, a bit of "instant karma" on the anti-White Sumlin.
There were a handful of moments along the way that were inches away from changing the outcome of the game, but those what-ifs won't save the Aggies or their coaching staff.
Never mind Texas A&M’s QB injury that shifted the contest. Things likely would’ve been different had Nick Starkel not hurt his leg and taken the Aggie passing attack off the field with him. But that, too, was controllable. While true freshman Kellen Mond went 3-of-17 under center, senior Jake Hubenak (a 59 percent passer a year ago) sat on the bench.
That decision, like the final result, will fall on head coach Kevin Sumlin.

Cottrell runs a sub-4.4 forty......in a normal world he would be the primary RB for a major college program.......but great to see him starting at 'A' back for Tech tonight

Georgia Tech ran out of gas on D but they had several chances to win this game and the Vols as usual got very lucky. A terrible fumble late and key missed field goals did GT in. And they went for two at the end which I felt at the time was a desperate move and it back fired. One of GT's starting RB's was injured so that might explain Cottrell getting some key playing time. But he sure earned his keep. The GT coach is utilizing Cottrell in the proper way. The GT offense is sort of like the ole wishbone Texas/Oklahoma used to run in the 70's. Even Alabama relied on an option attack back then . Remember Major Ogilvie anyone?
They spread Cottrell out wide and he took some pitches. He finished up with 6 carries for 79 yards and his blinding speed was evident. Good job by the GT staff for putting Cottrell in situations that best utilize his speed. Cottrell does not look like the type of runner that would blossom as an up the middle cloud of dust type of RB but could have a terrific college career as a swing man type of RB. One to watch and cheer for big time. Really happy to see him succeed last night but it is a shame GT lost despite going over 500 yards on the ground.

At the moment, stud TE Adam Breneman leads the FBS with 305 yards receiving. Granted he's played 2 games while most have only played 1, but it's impressive nonetheless.

The thing that sucked to me was Quaide W only getting 2 carries....
Zach Laskey, while he was doing well, always shared carries from their B-back position...
I'd like to see QM get some more action as the year goes on, he and the starter are both sophomores.....awesome game for Cottrell
