Dave Clawson enters his third season at Wake Forest looking to turn the team around. The Demon Deacons have been fairly dreadful the last few seasons, and that really doesn’t look to change this year. The offense could be potentially fun to watch, with QB John Wolford beating out a QB with much more upside in fall camp. The offense will also feature RB Cade Carney and WR Alex Bachman. Since 2005, Wake has started 9, 7, 7, 10, 11, 11, 10, 10, 8, 8, and 7 white starters. Maybe an increase of 1, but more than likely will stay at 7, or even drop down to an all-time low of 6 if Carney doesn’t start. You'd think a lot of these perennially bad teams would maybe look for different players, but I guess not. Backups to look for: TE Devin Pike, LT Jake Benzinger, RG Patrick Osterhage, RT Nathan Gilliam, and MLB Grant Dawson. Per the usual from most of the previews so far, next to no white depth on this team.
