Yet another black afflete gets away with murder, not literally but not far from it:

Domestic violence charges against free agent Tarvaris Jackson have been dropped. Jackson apparently all but admitted to threatening to shoot his wife, but the state attorney's office believed there wasn't enough evidence for a conviction. Despite skirting the law, Jackson's NFL future is bleak.

Criminally the DA is stating their hands are tied unless his wife is at a morgue on ice. Also Jackson who has made 8 figures in his career filed for legal aid stating he only had the value of his high end vehicle to his name. The Bengals scooped up Jackson No. 24 overall out of Houston, in front of the rival Pittsburgh Steelers who were reported to like the corner at the time.

The 6-foot Jackson combines size with 4.37 40-yard-dash speed and ability to play the ball in the air. He became the third defensive back taken by the Bengals in the first round in the past five drafts.

Pittsburgh Steelers' 2nd rounder in 2015 - Senquez Golson - will likely miss at least 9 weeks with a Lisfranc injury. He missed his entire rookie season with a shoulder injury.

Another magnificently conditioned black athlete, this one touted along with Laquon "Legs of Cement" Treadwell and Sterling Shepard as the most "NFL ready" receivers this year. Doctson managed to suffer an Achilles injury during OTAs, and now has suffered another injury on the same foot. Will this year's group of highly drafted receivers be as injury prone as last year's awful class was?

Redskins first-round WR Josh Doctson (Achilles') is now in a walking boot. The team insists Doctson hasn't suffered a setback, and they only put him in the boot for rest purposes. When reporters asked Doctson about the boot, Doctson said the team told him not to talk about his injury. The 22nd pick in the draft has been out since May. He appears weeks away from a return.

Koetter said the other day that Adam Humphries has won the team's number 3 receiving job. Now he says Brate is the starting TE. Let's hope it's not just rhetoric designed to motivate lazy black players who have mouth-watering amounts of untapped upside, especially when these pronouncements are being made so early in training camp. I'm still firmly on the cynical side at this point given what a coal black team Tampa likes to employ while hoping that Koetter turns out to be relatively fair when it comes to opportunity.

Coach Dirk Koetter revealed Wednesday that Cameron Brate is currently the Bucs' starting tight end ahead of Austin Seferian-Jenkins. Seferian-Jenkins rubbed Koetter the wrong way during a spring practice and was kicked off the field. He proceeded to go on a Twitter rampage before apologizing for it all a week later. Since then, Brate has been the one getting pumped up by Koetter through the media. Koetter praised Brate's ability to get open in the red zone and later said Brate has been much improved as a blocker. It sounds like ASJ is going to need the preseason of his life to regain his starting job.

Here's yet another WR bust, drafted in the second round in '14, who is almost always injured, and has sucked when he's been healthy. But of course he remains ahead of Bryan Walters in the pecking order, who always does well when he's allowed to play. You know a black player is a bust when even Weenieworld starts to get on their case:

Jaguars WR Marqise Lee (hamstring) has missed five straight practices. Par for the course with Lee, who hasn't been healthy since early in his USC career. He's looking likely to open the year as Jacksonville's No. 4 receiver.

at his Pro Day (he wasn't invited to the Combine) former BYU wide receiver Mitch Mathews measured in at almost 6-feet-6, ran 40s in 4.47 and 4.49, and posted a vertical of 36 inches with a broad jump of 10-feet 9-inches. and he has HUGE hands that routinely make catches like this:

his physical numbers rank him in the 82nd percentile of wide receivers in the NFL, and they're even more impressive when put in more detailed perspective.

yet "for some reason," the playmaking wideout (20 touchdown catches over the past two seasons) wasn't drafted. "weird," huh?

Mathews has been lighting up camp for the Kansas City "Chefs" where he signed as an undrafted free agent, yet he's still considered a longshot to make the roster over "phenomenal affletes" with "dat upside" like Albert Wilson (35 catches for 451 yards and 2 touchdowns in 12 starts last year), Rod Streater (only healthy for parts of 4 games over the past 2 seasons), Chris Conley (6 catches for just 42 yards last year as a rookie), and rb/wr De'Anthony Thomas (just 17 catches in 10 starts last year). with "explosive" playmakers like that, no wonder the Chiefs don't want Mathews. /sarcasm

It should surprise no one here that all the White LBs who were drafted are getting favorable reviews so far. Vigil, Martinez, Kwiatkowski, Fackrell and Schobert should all be stalwart NFL linebackers once their racial apprenticeships are over. DL Carl Nassib and Adam Gotsis also are performing well. Gotsis has been banged up but I've yet to read anything about him that's not very positive about his potential. Unfortunately Joey Bosa and the Chargers have yet to finalize a contract, which is ridiculous given that the current labor agreement sets the pay scale for draft picks; they're bickering over some minor offset language. Bosa needs to get in camp.

Fourth round pick Joe Schobert has shown his versatility. At Wisconsin, he played inside and outside linebacker. He can do both, but at outside he’s at his best. With fellow rookie Emmanuel Ogbah playing more on the defensive line, it’s opened the door for Schobert. He has displayed great instincts and a knack for finding the ball.

Kaufusi will miss the entire 2016 season with a broken ankle, The Baltimore Sun reports.

Baltimore's third round pick out of BYU, Kaufusi had a legitimate chance to earn a starting role during his first season in the league. In his absence, veteran Kapron Lewis-Moore and undrafted rookie Victor Ochi may perhaps have an easier time cracking the final 53-man roster. Furthermore, Brent Urban and Lawrence Guy now figure to be locked into starting roles at both defensive end positions.

Dude is already 25, so even more of a setback for him. Of the two Islanders' they selected, this was the more legitimate and productive (in his final season) pick than Kamalei Correa -- who simply rode the wave of his previous collegiate season.

Foles would have been a good signing for the Cowboys. Foles is a player that needs to play behind a good offensive line which the Cowboys have and the Rams didn't last year.

The Cowboys need a veteran backup because Romo gets injured so much. They should have gone after Foles hard but they didn't. Reports are that Foles signed for 1.75 million plus incentives. The Cowboys could have and should have signed him.

In what was a bit of a theme on the day, Goff, Williams and fellow rookies Tyler Higbee, Nelson Spruce and Michael Thomas looked polished, athletic and productive against a Rams defense many consider on the cusp of being a top 10 NFL unit.

On a day the old dogs on the defense were supposed to bark loudest, it was the Rams’ puppies making the plays drawing the most ooohs and ahhs from the fans on hand.

On the field, [Higbee's] unusually fast for his size and is easy to spot cutting across the field. And over the first four days of camp he has shown an ability to get open and make himself a big target for Goff and Keenum.

“I'm just trying to get better every day,” said Higbee

Said Fisher: “Better every day. ... Made a lot of plays, acted like he’s played before.”

Not thinking too far ahead, but the skill-set is there to be a matchup nightmare for smaller linebackers and safeties.

VIGIL TRENDING UP: Specifically with rookies, pressure to make an instant impact during training camp can be significant. Along the same lines, finally making an impactful play can be freeing.

The latest recipient of the big-play boost is third-round pick Nick Vigil. On Tuesday, he pulled off a spectacular interception, reaching behind his body in zone coverage and tipping the ball up to himself.

The pick represented his first splash play of camp. Vigil says he feels the ripple of confidence.

“It’s always a boost of confidence when you are playing good and you make a good play,” he said. “Still got a long ways to go.”

Lewis views the play as more than just confidence, but a message to the rest of the team.

“He comes here with a lot of tools and gifts,” Lewis said. “Players respond to that (type of play). We see it as coaches, sometimes they don’t see it as we see it, how talented and gifted he is.”

The Cowboys big board for the 2016 draft was leaked and can be found on the internet. They had Jeff Driskell graded ahead of Dak Prescott but they picked Prescott when they had a choice of either one. Was it because Driskell is white and Prescott is black?
