2016 Outdoor Track Season

I forgot to mention that Lucas Jacubcyzk also of Germany increased his seasons best time to 10.17 0.3 wind
also in Regensburgh. Very nice time with almost no wind assistance. Lucas is 30 years old now so he is probably
nearing an end to his career. I hope not as he was a former long jumper and only switched events around 5 years
ago. I'm hoping since he starting sprinting so late in life that he can run into his mid 30's.

I think if you watch the replay of the 100m carefully at the finish line you will definitely see Bowie look at Schippers directly and call her "bitch" in anyones book that is such ungraceful/tasteless behavior from a professional athlete. In all my years involved in track & field as a coach and a athlete I have not seen this behavior from female adult athletes.

take it or leave it....

g'day
Oh, so she DID embrace her but called her a bitch before that?
BUDDY, whatever your views, the truth mustn't be a victim.

Teeters with a 10.16 in his semi at the NCAAs.
Maybe he can get down to 10.10 in the final, but I don't see him going sub-10.

He had a great indoor season, but was much less successful outdoors. Maybe he spent too much effort on the indoor season.

Meanwhile, let's take about Schippers instead of wasting our time on Lemaitre.
She won the Oslo race in a world leading 21.93.
It is also a Diamond League record.
Plus she easily beat Elaine Thompson of Jamaica, who pushed her in the final of the 200m in last year's World Championships.
Schippers is the real deal. She's accomplished so much in just 2 years of full-time sprinting.
Lemaitre could learn something from her, but he won't. He doesn't want to learn.

Schippers comes to the USA at least for 1-2months a year with her coach to train with other Athletes and coaches. It was American coaches who spotted Shcippers talent for the sprints and suggested she try it over the Hepatalon. Lemaitre is too chicken to leave Old Man Carraz and that Shitty Club Aix-Les-Sucks. Lemaitre=Wasted Talent

Schippers broke a 22 year old Meet Record. It's also the fastest time in the world. This lady is amazing. Here
is the race for those of you who missed it.

Looks like Hannah Cunliffe got injured. She came in last in her 100m semis with a time in the 20s.
What a bummer!
She was the favorite to win the 100m.
Damn!

It looks like either groin or upper hamstring, this also kills her chance at the 4x100 as well, she injured her leg 2 weeks ago during the Pac 12 West prelims...

She looks like a (handsome) Man running against girls. She reminds and looks like a former East German turned unified German World Champion, "Golden Girl" Katrin Krabbe.

First Schippers.

Then Katrin Krabbe

Or if one wants to be unflattering, a very handsome version of Jarmila Kratochvilova.

just another note on a female 400m hurdler, Sage Watson from Canada, she placed 2nd in the semi's with a crackin 55.80 .02 behind the leader. Watch out for this gal, I have been following her career for several years now.

Remember teeters and baker ran 10.16 into a headwind ...-0.3.....the other races had tailwind of +1.8 .......so I reckon teeters has low 10.00s ..........you heard it here ....

Well done teeters ....very tight final .....into a -2.3 ....reverse that to +2.0 ...low 10 ......note all athletes were separated by 0.3....seconds ....from 1st to 5th ....first white sprinter to make an ncaa final in years .....so solid 5th ...and I reckon an injury free senior season and teeters will be a favorite next year ..,,once he is working on his speedendurance .....

Sage Watson from Canada places 3rd in the NCAA D 1 400m hurdles with a very good time of 54.85 big PR of almost half a second

1 Shamier Little JR Texas A&M 53.51
2 Kiah Seymour JR Kentucky 54.67
3 Sage Watson JR Arizona 54.85

Good job Sage!

good news for Teeters happy to hear this. Hari runs a 10.24 with a hair over legal wind time, that is flying! He will pass Lemaitre in no time me thinks.

Cheers...

I dont think he will get sub 10, he does not have top end speed....Running a decent time into a strong headwind does not always translate to a much faster legal time. A lot of bulkier strong sprinters run decent times against resistance due to their muscular strength/power. This is probably the case. I can see Teters maybe get to 10.02 legally but not much faster. Running international meets is the key. He is still young though so he may improve with time, we shall see

Teeters was well in contention for the title through about 60 meters, but fell off towards the end. Still, only a .03 difference between 5th and 1st! However, Teeters is a senior and it will be interesting to see his progression from here on out. The lack of post-collegiate opportunity in the US has led to a lot of white American collegiate sprinters to end their careers.

What a race. I've been trying to find the video of it. Does anyone have a link to the 100 meters final? I want to see Teeters
in action. I though he was only a junior. Is he really a senior? Either way I hope he doesn't give up track. He has so much
potential to improve once he graduates from school. He needs to get a world class coach. I think he should change his citizenship and run for a country in Europe or ever Australia. Europe would be more ideal since that is where most of the meets are and there summer is the normal time which helps to prepare for the world champs and olympics.

You can send Teeters to Canada, we would love to have him run here :) We don't have any fast white sprinters over 100/200m. We can trade you a "ockey"player lol

Michael LeBlanc is still running!
10.39 this season. I guess he's hoping to make the relay team.

LeBlanc has never been the same since his injury about a decade ago. Remember this is a guy who was fourth at the NCAA championships as a freshman I believe.

He and the now-retired Jared Connaughton have always had a career path that left me wanting more. It felt like neither ever met their potential.
